Hey friends, I’m sharing 2 more of the BEST Crockpot dinner recipes that I’ve EVER made! And I saved them to make while on vacation with the family this week. I am also sharing how I’ve been saving our family money on the vacation food budget for years by cooking and planning ahead; and NO, I don’t spend all day in the kitchen on vacation. It just takes a little planning ahead, making good use of your crockpot and learning how to spruce up some convenience foods. These are tried and true family favorites, perfect for vacation, a cozy fall dinner or just a quick weeknight meal anytime of the year. So happy ya'll had a great time in Florida!! I live in the panhandle of Florida and am proud that ya'll spent your vacation here. When I make the taco soup, I use a can of Rotel tomatoes/peppers instead of diced tomatoes because it adds a little extra heat the soup.

I sure did enjoy seeing your vacation cooking; my husband and I have decided that eating out on vacation (for the most part) is not so much a great idea for us anymore. It seems like so many of the places feature such “over the top” plates (at high prices, as well)
Watching this video has really given me some great ideas for making our meals.
We would still eat out a little, but cooking in would sure help.
We live in Alabama, and would like to go to Florida in 2023-it’s been a while since we’ve been to the beach. I love how Grayton Beach looks, and some of the places y’all went and things you did would be what we’d be interested in.

Hello Mel, I’m a new subscriber. I have to tell you how much I enjoy your channel. You have a very soothing voice that kinda drew me in. Well that and your delicious looking recipes. Your style of cooking reminds me of days gone by. After my husband passed away it’s just been me. I know I’m cooking meals that are too big for just myself but I like these types of soups and casseroles. Why deprive myself. I can freeze the leftovers. If there is any. You are right about those beautiful white sand beaches, the blue water and gorgeous sunsets. You introduced me to a place I would like to try. Thank you! My grandson loves the package gravy..We buy the Pioneer all the time..Thank you for the idea of adding the milk instead of water...That looked amazing ...So creamy..That water looked amazing..We haven't been on vacation in years...I have sick people so that hinders ...I have only been to the beach one time in my life and that was when I was 6 years old..It looked so peaceful..Thank you for taking us along .You have the sweetest voice..You can tell how much the Lord is part of your life , it shows....God bless from East Texas ...

I bring all my food n crockpot n a bigger skillet with me on vacation! Once a year we tak ours kids n all the grands on family vacation. Have done this now for years. This last one was our 15th year of family vacation! N I love every minute of it!

A little spoonful of sour cream in scrambled egg mixture before adding to pan gives ur eggs just a little bit of flavor and creamy. Yumo. I’ll have to try the mayo. Thanks Ryan. Loved the little dance.
You vacation like our family it's cheaper and better we would go out a few nights so my husband could get his seafood fix and I could get a little break on cooking. We would fill plastic totes up/coolers with food/spices at home to save money also like you.

I do the same thing and I'm usually solo (except for the crockpot).I like knowing I have what I need to cook breakfast,lunch and dinner if I want to.I plan a menu,make sure I have the ingredients to do those meals and pack up.(I shop sales at home,clip coupons,and save where I can.)

When our kids were young my husband had a job that he had to attend a state and a national convention. He had to work but it was our vacation for the kids and me They just wanted to play in the pool! We always took our crockpot and a small griddle. It made for a much cheaper vacation and the money we saved on food we could use for other activities.

Enjoying your videos! We do the same when on vacation. Simple delicious meals. We usually don't eat out because of the same reason children & adults are tired after a day at the beach & pool & saves money. I have 8 children & 18 grandchildren. Most try to go on vacation with us. We only do 2 meals a day breakfast & supper. Looking forward to trying some of your meals!

We went to Panama City on July 4th and we stayed till the 9th and it was awesome it's so beautiful it's a relaxing and we cooked in the room too we never left

We use that brand country gravy for our Sunday Brunch,. I slice up a cantaloupe and make some Mary B’s biscuits or make my own and we have sausage, egg, gravy . Some Sundays I will make creamed chipped beef , cantaloupe, biscuits. None left over.

Glad you had a chance to get away and enjoy the time! I watched this while we were having a mini-vacation on the left coast. We also prefer to cook in for most meals, for our health and to control costs. I never thought about bringing a slow cooker, but since they are on sale this time of year, I think I'll look for a small one... it's usually just the two of us. ❤️
