I also take hours of my day to draw however I take breaks in between but every artist improves in their own way so keep going and take one step after another to your goal :)
Absolutely, you should take breaks! Even on stream, after I draw for an hour I always take a 10 minute standing break before I start the second hour. That's part of my healthy process 😁 Thaank you squidboyee, I will :)

I feel like archiving a mindset like you, and managing to create deliberate habits is an extreme success! It should be taught to be like that in school.. Instead, we are struggling with it alone for so long, until we get frustrated enough with life to save ourselves somehow, if we are lucky..

Really nice example of managing your time and being kind to yourself about missing days or time for learning and improving drawing skills. I see from the video you use a graphic tablet and not display tablet- I RESPECT THAT! I struggle to draw with my graphic tablet. It’s fine for editing photos and painting abstract stuff but sketching and line work… OMG I struggle. So well done you for getting to a point where can sketch on that thing and produce the line art you do. Me I’m just gonnna stick to pencil and paper for now 😅
Haha at this point I've used that tablet for so long, I'm more comfortable with it vs using a sketchbook. Omg and now that I'm used to the graphic tablet, the display tablet is harder to use! I think it feels wierd now that my hand blocks what you see as you draw. I'm still trying to use my sketchbook so that I'm comfortable doing it both ways but it's definitely a different experience you have to get used to. You may struggle now but you'll get it with time

How do you balance your relationship with your hobbies? My boyfriend and I are both hobbyists and passionate about our careers too, but I also want to have a fulfilling social life with my partner and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the week to do both!
Ooo that’s a great question! In short, having a detailed schedule can really help you out. I’m still working on this myself but I notice the less I schedule things the more I spend time dillying lol as my wife likes to call it - meaning things like browsing YT or TikTok mindlessly. Scheduling in your work and even your hobbies and social events will bring more focus to the time you have available. We end up having a lot more time for things when it’s not sucked into a black hole of mindless tv or something. At least that’s the case for me. You can still make time for TV and social media and everything else but like I said, the schedule helps keep it focused and that really influences the balance of activities you want to do in your daily life ❤
Can you show us your graphic tablet, i woukd love to see what equipment you use. I have chepes one by wacom but i find it to small i plan to upgrade to Xp pen deco lw

I need a good starting point for anatomy in general so the split second I saw body parts highlighted I hoped you would respond. Thank you so much also. I saw you had (Morpho) books also but I definitely will look to get this one first
I'm really bad with scheduling so I wouldn't follow my example lol but I use a combination of Google Calendar and a notes document. I should probably figure out a better method or simply use a calendar for everything!
I do plan to bring it back but in a slightly different format. I’m starting to learn more about editing and storytelling so the next one will be a bit more of a production, meaning a much bigger time commitment. They’re definitely not going away, just evolving 😁
What a great video!! I'm currently also trying to get back into the rhythm of drawing every day. At the beginning of the year I drew every day for almost half a year, but had to stop for a few months. But I got more time again and trying to work out a schedule similar to yours to draw regularly again. This video helped me quite a bit with inspiring me :D Makes me see a more realistic approach to it. So thanks a lot~
