Great video! Fell in love with Thundra the first time I saw her, that costume! That hair! Those lightning bolts!
I consider myself an FF mega fan but had no idea that Ramona Fradon pencilled an issue until now!
What a great looking issue, very high on my list next comic show I pop into. Looking at that work, I wish she had got a chance to do some Invaders, I think she would have been a perfect fit.

Great episode! I didn’t know most of this about Thundra. Very cool.
My first hour-long episode and it was a tad hard to get through because my voice starts to weaken. I hit the cough button more than a few times in the second half. I put a cough drop in my mouth and trying NOT to sound like it was in my mouth - lol. The one I will do for Valkyrie in the Bronze Age is also going to be an hour-long. Then I may stick to the usual 20-30 minute format.

Hi Drew, great job on this full-length episode! I believe the next appearance of Thundra was in FF# 303 courtesy of Roy Thomas and John Buscema. I remember it as a great Ben Grimm story. (Minor spoiler warning) It happens right after the marriage of Johnny and (fake Skrull) Alicia Masters. Thundra appears and asks Ben for help with trouble on her world. Afterwards, Thundra reveals that she still cares deeply for Ben and agrees to help send him to the past so he can try to alter the timeline and marry Alicia Masters himself. Ultimately, Ben realizes that he has to live with the consequences of past history and his actions, no matter how painful. Thundra was depicted as a caring and faithful friend and a very interesting character. My favorite appearance of Thundra!
I'd forgotten all about that issue until you brought it up. It was extremely clever to have Thundra show up "shortly" after Ben loses Alicia, because it was a vulnerable time for him. I loved how Steve Englehart eventually made Ben the FF leader who was free to choose two new members and one was Crystal! What a BURN! (couldn't resist). Just to irritate Johnny. Pretty dark in many ways.
Should of replaced the thing temporary instead of she hulk
A miniseries featuring the Fill-In Heroes would be cool: Thundra, Medusa, Power Man, She-Hulk, Crystal and Ms. Marvel (Sharon Carter). I'm stopping at 1988 or this would be a legion instead of a team. Luke would be surrounded by women but I don't think he would complain. I know I wouldn't. lol.
I always thought this character and her world was interesting considering how feminism is being pushed now days and all the anti masculinity in media today.
