Although the whole Kaguya battle was over the top for me in addition to the pathetic defeat of Madara(he was overhyped for like...forever and they did him dirty!!), i enjoyed those backstory fillers immensely! Furthermore, I believe that Hagoromo lacked in paternity because he should be able to be aware of black zetsu and prevent his son Indra from falling into the darkness.

The writers probably just gave Indra and Ashura the same powers as their reincarnations because they weren't creative enough to come up with something better. (This is a filler arc, so it wasn't written by the original Manga author).
Indra and Sasuke can use chidori but Madara can't.
Naruto and Ashura can make shadow clones but Hashirama can't.
Madara and Sasuke had rinnegan but Indra hadn't.
Madara and Sasuke had EMS but Indra hadn't.
Sasuke and Indra had the same sussano and mangekyou pattern but Madara hadn't.
A reincarnation doesn't need to have the same commonity as their previous birth. They can be a little different also
