And this is the exact reason why I reach for the cleaning supplies before I dig into deeper diagnostics. Even a single speck of dust in the wrong place can keep one of those fingers from making contact

Speaking of Dell 3080s... you should see the abnormality mine has lol. One of the VRM's decided to go nuclear and self destructed as well as melting through the board to the other side lol.
My guess is that its well beyond repair lol.
I actually plan to send it out to you anyway as a possible donor card (unless you can somehow perform a miracle life saving operation) when i send you this EVGA 3080 that crashes and keeps preventing system boot up. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the pcb or have any missing components so fixing it is beyond my current capabilities.

thats old thing, if you work with computers over years, then memory gold fingers are common issue. air always ontains little oils and junk, that will set on gold fingers oxydize forming plastic like layer.
So now you move memory and this one contact will not lane on exact same sport leading issues. Small IPA or acentone(if its really bad) will cure things. Same will go for PCI slot but no acetone there, it will melt.

Weird thing is there's so many prebuilt sellers doing this thing with glue on components. Like glueing ram to the sockets just feels anti consumer when you want to upgrade the prebuilt then the ram or gpu is glued to the slot.

Hope mines an easy fix I'm trying to get a repair from asus for my 3090 strix have been for about 2 weeks now because cards still under warranty until december but they won't fix it unless I can get the person who sold me it last year to send the invoice from when they got it sadly no luck so far from origional seller (feels like asus are trying to avoid a fix tbh)
. card boots up no display ,was watercooled but is now back to stock
    .Core still gets hot
    .fans all work
.Leds light up for power delivery on board all 3 points an when removing them whilst pc is on they light up individually which shows the card knows I removed one of the power inlets so the brains of the card still work I think 🤔
.Doesn't cut out when left on
.I think the pcie gold strip's could be a possible issue as to one of the strip's is damaged/warn from water I believe because I had a leak on waterblock beforehand which I fixed with acylic weld (an i mean a really tiny leak that made one litl spec drip smaller than a tear drop travel down board whilst on vertical bracket but i did clean it repasted card applied both blocks, card ran fine with no leaks an great temps).
.after putting back together pc it ran fine for 2 hrs then cut out whilst on desktop I had left it running at 19 degrees in idle to get rid of bubbles in loop so It hadn't overheated an highest temps i got was 23 degrees whilst screensaver was active displaying 4k live wallpapers .
Really depressed about the whole ordeal tbh it took me over a year to save up for one ,and since because of the minor leak ,but card was still fine an running I got a small loan an purchased two refurbished blocks since that would solve any future leaks ,for it to die 2 hours later that I cannot get a refund for lol so im all ready 160 down on a dead card.
Pc was my only way of being social tbh since im disabled
    .Moderate brain damage
    .3 strokes
    .Scoliosis
    .mobility issues
    .ptsd
    .insomnia
Edit after closer inspection part of the Gold trip is missing on one lane which could be the issue or possibly just one of the issues

How can a person with 4 million subscribers show such amateurism. Someone will use his methods and there will be a cry.
