Brother, I want to thank you. For months, my 3070 fans would go insane, and I would get a black screen under heavy load. The only way I could fix it was by turning the settings of the games down. Today, I checked my thermal paste because I came across your video, and it was dry and crusted. I replaced it with Arctic MX-6 ULTIMATE Performance paste, and the problem is gone! once again, many, many thanks for this!
My monitor was turning off and fans start working at 100% very loud, and it was the thermal paste, just replaced and it continue working perfectly, its a 2080ti, thank you
Had a glitching GTX660 OEM with artifacts, so it was semi-working. Worked a 100 % of the time with basic Microsoft driver, worked around 25 % of the time with proper drivers. Baked it at 375 Fahrenheit (190 Celsius) for 10 minutes, works so far. I don't see a performance difference at this state, but it did start up with no crashing, and instead of going to artifacts after installing the drivers, it just installed the drivers, even played something, and it's alive. I think doing this to a completely dead card would be a waste of time, but if you got one that's artifacting, it might be worth a shot. I'll update this if something happens.
I appreciate this direct and helpful video I struggled for a week and turned every possible way to find out all I needed was thermal paste now the computer is brand new. Thanks man
I wanted to thank you for your help on this! I was having black screen issues when my gpu was apparently getting too hot. I used your advice and now I'm not having those issues anymore! So, again... thank you so much! :) You saved me a ton of money since I was about to just buy a new gpu.
i have a gtx 650 ti that i found at goodwill in the box. it LOOKS brand new. no dust and the pcb is still shiny. When I plug it into ANY SYSTEM it will cause all the fans (including the GPU blower) to ramp up to 100 % the moment I power it on. No display output and no parts need to be reseated, I have tried 3 systems and they all behave the same with this one particular card.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! Ive been getting so lost as to why the second problem has been happening with my pc and couldnt find any plausible solutions ANYWHERE 😭 I literally had a new graphics card and sometimes it would just black out and speed up the fans with just starting up the pc. As a first time pc owner i was scared so bad that i thought i had to go buy a new one... Turns out when I popped it open, the thermal paste was overflowing on the sides o-o and just really thinned out at the center 👀 3 hours of careful cleaning later and new thermal paste, its working beautifully 😭🙌💖 Just had to comment thank you so much for solving this issue for me 🥺 Definite sub here 💖
These blackscreen fan overdrive crashes are what I've been experiencing, but what's weird is that it isn't necessarily under heavy load but often caused by specific segments in specific games. Often when I open certain menus. The temps are always fine too from what I've seen. Could that still be a problem with thermal paste? I've tried everything on the software side by this point; repairing windows, clean-wiping GPU drivers and reinstalling them. updating bios, repairing windows files, cleaning the pc, checking for loose cables (which I didn't notice any) etc. , no dice. I've been at this for months and just completely clueless at this point.
Yes it could still be a problem with the thermal paste. It's such a cheap and quick thing to try and it so often fixes these sort of issues, even if it doesn't SEEM like that would be the problem. Also I'd highly recommend trying the GPU in a different PC if you can, and see if the issue happens there - if it does, then you'll know it's a hardware issue with the GPU. If not, then you'll know it could be specific to your hardware (and it could be any number of things, like a PSU problem for instance). It's hard to give you a once-size-fits-all approach but if it were me I'd definitely be repasting it as a first step.
Did you fix this yet, I’m having the same issues. It seems that a bad psu would be a cause this, out of curiosity what games are you playing when it crashes?
@@999madrush I've felt too burned out on trying to fix it since, so sadly not yet. For me it always seems to have to do with loading. I noticed when I went into the hub area in Code Vein for the first time the PC did the thing, and I feel like it has to do with the game loading such a detailed area for the first time. Another weird thing for me is the crafting menu in Deeprock Galactic and the Materia screen in FF7, specifically the transition animation. It's always those kinds of things, some games just run without flaw. One thing I also noticed though is that my gpu driver tends to start having problems a couple of weeks after I've last updated, it's almost like the driver itself deteriorates over time. Maybe it's a software issue after all. I'm no expert but I think I can rule out a PSU issue at least somewhat. My old PC had a weak PSU that would shut the entire PC off during demanding spikes in game graphics, usually particle effects because they're very unoptimized. In my current case it's just the screen turning black and the fans going overdrive, doesn't really seem like the PSU is failing if the computer is making fans go into overdrive.
You made a subscriber out of me I never comment or sub I just like videos you are hilarious and informative I love you man I hope you get the fame you deserve one day -this vid is old so I doubt you’ll see this but it’s just in case
A have zotac 1050ti mini, it has been crashing for last 2-3 weeks, sometimes it used to run fine for hours and sometimes just a few minutes and it crashes. Whenever it crashes there is random colour on screen Grey, Blue, Cyan, Green, Purple etc. Then after few seconds screen goes black and fan stars to spin at full speed. Now it only stays on for few minutes and then crashes.
I would suspect the only thing you could do would be the oven method, but I would try repasting it first and monitoring the temperatures closely on a hardware monitoring program. But the random colors tell me it's likely an artifact issue and the only thing that might work would be heating up the solder on the board by using the oven method. Good luck buddy!
I cleaned the GPU and added a new thermal paste and the monitor still goes blank while loading heavy games, light games play fine. I'm starting to suspect my PSU might be the issue.
Then you still have a thermal problem somewhere. If you download a hardware monitor you might be able to isolate it. If the temp goes above 90 on the GPU or the hotspot, you know it's an issue with the cooling on the GPU itself, but if the memory on the vram goes too high then you'll know it's a problem with them, and in that case getting some separate thermal pads and heatsinks for the memory modules on the card might help (if your stock cooler allows it of course).
Did you ever find a fix? I underclocked my gtx 1080 and capped the frames and now the issue happens less, it’s still there. Reapplying thermal paste didn’t help at all other than improving cooling by about 5 degrees.
my gpu load are high when i play gta v fivem, then its seem like artefact for 3 second then black screen appears, what should i do mr @@TechDweeb, please answer
I remember buying a i7 laptop that had a Nvidia gpu back in 2013. The owner sold it to me for 150 bucks. No picture from the gpu. I through it in the oven at 400 degrees for 5 to 10 minuets and after that, it turned right on
@@TechDweeb yeah its to reflow the solder balls in between the gpu and vram to the board. Funny how I found out about this 😅 it was on a youtube video that I seen back then, glad to see it still out there.
@@701Gangstatainment yeah bro, preheat the oven at 400 degrees. Grab aluminum foil and lay it on the highest rack on the oven. Remove all the plastic and heat pipes off the motherboard and drop it in there for 10 to 15 mins. Once the time is up, turn off the oven and let it cool down for the next 20 to 30 mins and thats it. Don't touch it when its cooling down cause the solder might be soft and you can knock off a component
My computer keeps black screening and putting the fans on blast; last time I checked which fans were spinning and it was indeed the GPU fans. The problem is my GPU is not overheating. As soon as I turned my computer back a few seconds later it was giving me readings of around 32 C and has stayed around there since I've been monitoring it. This problem happened twice when I was gaming, but also three or four times when I wasn't really doing anything but browsing the internet. I didn't have that many tabs open, maybe like 7 at most and I was watching youtube one time and another I just left the computer alone with a few tabs open while it was downloading files. Are you sure this is a GPU problem and not a PSU issue? I'm checking my GPU temps again and finding it hard to believe it's overheating since it's currently sitting at 29 C.
That sounds like the GPU is crashing, even though it isn't overheating. It could be a number of things. The main first step would be to try it in another system, if it still crashes there then you'll know it's your hardware (and some of the repasting or baking tips in this vid might solve it). However, if it's not happening in the other system then you'll know that it's an issue with your software, in which case a good step would be to remove all your old drivers (using the tool DDU - make sure you're in safe mode) and then download and install them fresh. That works most of the time for software specific problems. Good luck!
Hi, please do a video about my current graphics card issue, when I play games at high settings the card crashes/ black screens and then the graphic card's fans suddenly spin at a 100%. I even tried undervolting it at it's very minimum but it still happens. High settings for games like Valorant shouldn't be a problem for a EVGA GTX 770 SC 4GB, what should I do, please help!
Have you repasted it? This is exactly the same issue I had on the same GPU that you have (mine was ASUS GTX 770 4gb). That's how I learned about repasting GPUs! Fixed it right away. Based on what you're describing I'm 99% sure that repasting the gpu will fix your issue.

i have a gtx 770 and im beyond confused at this point because my pc has crashed over a good 200 times in the past 4 months. im able to play fortnite and gta and payday 2 mostly fine and had it crash like once. ive been able to play destiny 2 pretty fine a month ago but for like the last 3 weeks my pc crashes from destiny 2 and even ROBLOX theres no way a 770 fails to run roblox and crashes. im beyond confused because the source of the problem could be dozens of issues and im just tired of it. im getting a new gpu soon but its in 3 weeks and i cant even play a game that can run gta and payday 2 pretty well but cant run roblox. ive replugged all the psu cords back into the psu and replugged the gpu cables and it didnt help, hopefully the 4070 will not do the same shit because i am beyond tired of it.
Hey man is there any other possibilities on problem number 2 other than applying new thermal paste to your gpu? im currently facing this problem hope you can help. thanks
I can‘t believe that it was my thermal paste. It seems i didn‘t put enough last time because it was missing some in a corner 😂 But thanks a lot this is the first Video, which specifically talks about this exact problem, i found. My GPU started at 73 degrees and went to 96 but now it is at 80 maximum
Hey brother, my 1070ti has a black screen with display port, even when plug with hdmi, bought a new psu, same issue and the motherboard indicate red VGA light but the gpu still runs light and fans i am so confused...
Sounds like something is fried on the GPU. Try it on another PC if you can, just to make sure it does the same thing there. If so, then the oven bake might be your only choice to bring it back (although it might not work, and if it does it might only last a short while).
@@TechDweeb wow what a quick reply! Many thanks. Ehh, I have a problem when I'm playing games my GPU would go black screen somewhere mid game and the fan speed will go full speed during the black screen, I know one thing that's for sure, is that my GPU is not overheating as I've also checked the thermal/repasted
It's still likely a thermal issue, even though you've checked the thermals there still is likely an issue somewhere that's not being reported by the sensors. I had this happen on a GTX 770, the temperatures looked fine from the sensors, but it was still crashing under load. Repasting fixed it. If you've already repasted the only other suggestion I have would be to get some thermal pads for the memory modules to help them cool from the heatsink. Other than that, you might be out of luck :/
Yeah thats normal when a gpu crashes due to thermals - screen goes black and fans go to max until restart. I've seen it many times. Have you tried undervolting the gpu? That's the best way to bring down the temps.combine that with underclocking to get them even lower. You'd lose a bit of performance but if it keeps from crashing then it'd be worth it.
Hey, I’ve tried your fixes as I have a problem with my 1080. What happens is the screen goes black and the GPU starts making a loud weird coil whine noise at the exact same time, I have to turn the PSU off and back in order to get an image back. But this happens within a minute of starting my computer, or sometimes even seconds. Any tips as to what it could be?
It sounds like a thermal crashing issue, although you say you've tried the fixes so I assume you've repasted it. Are you able to get far enough to enable some hardware monitoring to see the temperatures? One thing I would be curious about is if you could try it in another PC as there may be a PSU or issue with another component.
@@TechDweeb tried it with 2 different PSUs in different computers. Same thing. Also the fans starts spinning at 100% as soon as it happens, and seems like they’re connected to the coil whine somehow as if I put my finger on to stop I them the coil whine sounds less aggressive. As for the thermal issue the GPU seems to remain at around 40 Celsius as I’ve tested with a proper thermometer, that is on both the memory and processor

It runs fine when doing normal processes but sometimes the screen will go black and start making a building loud noise and I have to switch the PSU off. just bought a 6660 xt when i try to play a game it crashes and fans go on blast. i wiped drivers and did a fresh install. I even bought a new psu and that didnt help Im really sad rn because i spent lots of money please help
You really need to try it on a different computer, to determine if it's a problem with the card or your PC. That's the most important troubleshooting step. If it was an older card I'd suggest the thermal paste, but since it's newer I doubt that'd be what's wrong. If it does the same behavior on another computer, then you'll know it's the card. If it's new then you should be under warranty, if you can isolate the problem to the card hardware then getting a warranty replacement should be simple. Good luck!
Now that I think about it, it still might be a thermal paste issue. I've heard of people in the past with the same problem, even though it's a brand new card, the thermal paste was insufficient. What I'd suggest if you can't try it in another computer is monitor the temperatures with a tool like MSI afterburner. If the temperatures rocket up to 90+ degrees before the crash, then you'll know it's a thermal issue, and the most likely culprit is the thermal paste & cooler mounting.
Hi i have a gtx 660 and everytime i put it in my pc. It gives me super large resolution like 1/4 of the screen is zoomed in. and artifacts lines below too btw and bsod after. Every drivers i install wont work. Fans not spinning either. Pls help I'm using newly installed windows 10
I have a 2080 GeForce Rtx and lately it has been crashing mid game or even a little after start up of call of duty. It just loses signal to my hdmi then I hear some fans getting noisy right when that happens. Temps never get above 75 ☹️
I would still check the thermal paste. There are two temperature sensors, an overall sensor and a hotspot junction sensor, the temperature that's usually shown in monitoring software like MSI afterburner is the overall temperature but that junction temperature is what causes the card to forcibly crash as a failsafe. I've heard of people undervolting their cards to prevent crashes but for most people replacing the paste does the trick. Good luck!
Thank you for you video. I put new termal paste for both the cpu and the gpu. But the problem is still the same. After playing a game (that always worked before - Satisfactory) or even sometimes starting the game from steam leads in to GPU fan full speed and a blue screen. Even when i restart the computer, sometimes it does the same when pressing enter at my windows log in screen. Any ideas? Thank you
Omg i think someone just sold me a broken graphics card. :( I'm a novice in pc knowledge. Now it's doing artifacts after minutes of gaming. It's so frustrating.
If it happens after gaming but not otherwise, it's a thermal issue. Try replacing the paste because that is the easiest thing that fixes most thermal issues on older GPUs.
Hi, please do a video about my current graphics card issue, when I play games at Low settings the card crashes/ black screens and then the graphic card's fans suddenly spin at a 100% i have a RTX 3060ti and my gpu temps dont touch 70 but it still happends
You NEED to try the thermal paste solution before further troubleshooting. Even if the temps look fine. That's the most common cause of GPUs crashing under load, if that doesn't work you can try some other stuff but the paste cleaning is quick and cheap and easy so give that a try first.
goodmornig sir thank you for the video...i did everything you propose here but my funs just dont want to work...is there any way to force them ??? thank you again
I suggest grabbing yourself a cheap shitty toaster oven from Walmart that’s big enough to fit one gpu, the carcinogens released are pretty bad when doing this. It hangs when it reaches that temperature? In that case the first step would be trying to replace the thermal paste. Even though your temperature reads 60 degrees there may be a hot spot that is not being reported. If it's crashing under load it's usually a thermal paste issue.

Hi there. My gpu I think is having a problem. When I'm just watching UA-cam or something. My screen goes black and my gpu fan speed goes to max. I've had this problem before I bought a new motherboard and everything was fine for about a month and all of a sudden today it did it again. What should I do
That does sound like an overheating problem. Does it only happen with UA-cam? I'd suggest you try runing a GPU benchmark like Unreal Valley. If it does the same thing while running that, then I'd suspect a heat issue, and the thermal paste tip from my vid would probably help out. If you have the ability to test the card on a different PC to figure out if it's a problem in the GPU or in your system, that would help you narrow down the problem.
it does the same for me but card is at 40c lol... screen goes black but still on no volume tho, then Brrrrrrrrr until i reset myself. No light open on the motherboard ..
Just a question, if anyone knows the answer, before I go ripping apart my gpu. I boot a game and get to the menu then a few seconds later my screen with go black. I hear the game still running in the back ground and I also was on discord so I could speak to my friend. The sounds of the fans will suddenly sound like a jet engine as though it goes max fan speed or something then the screen goes black. It was a gpu from my old pc that was pretty much new. I checked out my new PCs motherboard and it says it is compatible. The gpu worked in my last pc. (Issue with the old one was the cpu was to weak for modern games). Anyway now the sudden black screen "of death!" Plagues me. Any idea if it would be my psu which is 500w not being enough or could be 1 of the problems above in this video? Any constructive advice would be great. 🙂
It sounds like a thermal issue. You can check the specs of the graphics card and see if your power supply is enough to run it, but if it is then I would definitely be replacing the thermal paste as a first troubleshooting step.
@@TechDweeb I have repasted the graphics card and it was working fine for a while then went back to spinning up the fans to full speed and black screen. Basically the same thing is happening again. So sadly I'm no closer to finding the problem. I'm not sure if it would be a lack of power as the pc doesn't shut down. Just the card seems to cut out. Any ideas on what I should try? Thanks in advance. I have ran the specs through a hardware checking site that claims to tell you the power required and it says I should be fine with a 500w psu. Im wondering how accurate it is though. I use to run this graphics card with a 500w in my last pc. But this pc is a bit more beefed up. So im on the edge of buying a new psu. Im going to watch your video again and see if I have repasted the gpu correctly.
My brother gpu is a Amd Radeon HD 7770, and when ever we put it on a motherboard the fan goes max power spinning and gets very hot when booting up, and the monitor wouldn't recognize it connect. So does this qualifies for your 3 ways to fix?
Probably not, but possibly. The oven method is a last ditch effort. When you've exhausted all other possibilities, there's a chance it might fix what is wrong. I honestly don't think it would work in your situation, since you're not getting any video at all, it sounds like there is something genuinely broken like a capacitor that this probably wouldn't fix, but I would try it anyways if it was my card and I had no other troubleshooting options
First step is to try it in another system to help you determine if it's an issue with the card itself or some issue with your other hardware or settings, and if the issue happens on the 2nd PC then you know it's an issue with the card itself. A screen of a random colour sounds like an artifiacts issue to me, so baking it in the oven is probably what I'd do if it were me.
Yesterday I was playing a game and suddenly the screen went black and after about 20 seconds a disconnection sound (maybe it's from the GPU) disconnected. I restarted the PC to see if the problem was solved, but since then the screen is still black (no signal) and the fans are at 100% without stopping. There was also a constant beep. I restarted it again and the beep disappeared, it only makes a beep but I still have the same problem. The gpu temperature was 75 to 80c, I changed the thermal paste on the cpu and did a clean on the graphics card days ago because I was having problems with the temperature. It seems that when you removed the graphics card, the fans are working normally. There are no connection problems with the keyboard and mouse, just that the fans work at 100% when the GPU is connected. I also changed the motherboard battery but the problem persists. Is the problem due to the GPU? Or should I also check the ram and the power supply?.
That hints that something is fried on the GPU. I'd suggest you try it in a different PC if you can. If it still doesn't work in the other PC, then it's probably dead, and if you can't get it professionally repaird then baking it in the oven would be a last ditch effort to bring it back to life.
If it's crashing under load, even though your sensors are reporting okay, it's still likely a temperate issue. My only other suggestion for crashing under load after replacing the thermal paste would be to undervolt and possibly underclock the GPU to keep the temps under the threshold where it crashes.
Rx 5700xt, leds light up (power from pcie) but doesn't seem to power up at all otherwise. Not detected by by pc. Have tried in two systems. One was an Intel system the other a amd with radeon adrenaline installed thanks to a 6600 non xt gpu. Have re pasted it but that's as far as I dared venture on my own with no further guidance... any ideas or instructions to share on fixing this?
Is it detected in the bios? If not, then it sounds pretty dead to me. If it's not detected in multiple systems then you probably are out of options other than baking it. That's what I would be trying personally if it was my card, it's the only last ditch effort thing you can try when you've exhausted all other possibilities.
Oh I suppose one more thing you could try would be seeing if you can pull the vbios off the card. There is a piece of software called NV flash for NVIDIA cards, but I know there is an equivalent one for AMD cards. There's a chance the vbios on the card is corrupted. It's possible that it will be detected by the vBIOS flashing utility. If that's the case, then you might be able to find the BIOS for your card online and Flash it. That's a long shot though, it doesn't seem to me that that would work but worth a shot before it goes into the oven I suppose haha. Good luck to you my friend!
@@TechDweeb greatly appreciate it! I will see if I can find the the amd equivalent and go from there. This was a used 2nd hand per say card so figured I'd tinker with it in hopes of getting it going.

So you've tried different video cards and they all give the same symptom? If that's the case, it could be many things. My first thought is drivers, definitely try removing all your drivers using DDU (display driver uninstaller) to start fresh and then reinstall the drivers. It could also be something related to your monitor or cable, believe it or not you can get artifacts on the monitor/cable end. I can't see how a PSU would cause artifacts with different video cards, that doesn't seem likely. I suppose it could be motherboard related, if there's something borked with your PCIe slot, but that doesn't seem likely, and it wouldn't manifest in video artifacts most likely. Trying your setup with different components and trying your components in different systems is the only way to narrow down the problem, but I hope that cleaning the drivers and trying a different monitor & cable will get you on the right track. Good luck!

If it's now not giving a signal even after booting up, then I'd suspect something got fried. Replacing the paste won't help if you're getting no video at all. If it were me, I'd consider trying the oven method. But you should try it in another PC first just to make sure that it's a problem with the card and not your PC. Good luck!

Hi I have r9 390x amd card every time I plug this card in my pc. My pc start hanging and Thn it stop working. Thn I have to remove the card it work fine. What is the problem plz can some one help me
Can you try the card in another computer? If it causes the same problem in another system, then you can be sure it's a problem with the card. If not, then there's a problem on your PC. If the problem only happens on your PC then it is likely a driver issue. One thing you can try is to remove the graphics driver. There is a program called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), you'll need to run that in safe mode and completely remove the old driver, and then re-download the updated driver.
@@TechDweeb thanks a lot sir. I have placed the order gpus in my pc like rtx 3060 12gb and gtx 960 4gb. This all cards working fine in my pc except r9 390x. And I have downloaded a new driver today from amd website. If it's gpu problem Thn how can I fix tht?
It could still be a software problem. I'd recommend starting the PC in safe mode. If it works fine, then it's definitely a driver issue, and the DDU utility I mentioned should help you out. If it doesn't work fine, then you'll need to test the card in another machine to confirm 100% that the card is faulty. If that's the case I'd recommend repasting the card like I showed in step 2. Hope this helps!
@@Anax159 i remember i had two r9 390x running on crossfire and the computer always crash, years later i put those gpus back on a build to test. They work fine. Turns out it was the power supply. So test the gpu on a differnt computer first, if it works then its the computer power supply or the pcie slot. If it doesn't then its the gpu or the gpu driver
As someone who fixes gpu as a side job. This video is SHIT. Never bake/oven your gpu. All you're doing is destroying the gpu from something fixable into a dead one. To even properly oven the gpu, always remove all eletrolytic capacitors first before even doing this and apply decent flux all over the board. Hell, to even know if artifacts causes the loose solder connection, check it with memory testers like tserver or mats/mods first!

MAX Speed Fans ?! Any idea of why a graphics card starts booting with fans at max speed all the time as soon as you turn on the computer. MSI afterburner usually worked but after the last windows of driver update it no longer does the job. 3000 rpm is so noisy!
Brother, I want to thank you. For months, my 3070 fans would go insane, and I would get a black screen under heavy load. The only way I could fix it was by turning the settings of the games down. Today, I checked my thermal paste because I came across your video, and it was dry and crusted. Glad it worked out for you!

Glad I could help ya out!
Nice! Always nice to keep otherwise working hardware out of the dump and give it a second life

No display output and no parts need to be reseated, I have tried 3 systems and they all behave the same with this one particular card.
The oven method MIGHT bring it back from the dead. That's what I do if it were me

As a first time pc owner i was scared so bad that i thought i had to go buy a new one... Just had to comment thank you so much for solving this issue for me 🥺 Definite sub here 💖
Niiiiiiice! That's what I like to hear! Glad it helped you out 🤓
The video is helpful no doubt, but something tells me that your issue was fixed by simply reseating your GPU.
@@TechDweeb Thanks for the reply!
@@999madrush about to try, I'll update you

Good luck buddy!
try undervolting
I have a GTX 970 that keeps crashing and the screen goes black while I can still hear the voices from the game. I will try this tomorrow.
I cleaned the GPU and added a new thermal paste and the monitor still goes blank while loading heavy games, light games play fine. I'm starting to suspect my PSU might be the issue.
Great advice 😅 😅😅 I was about to buy a new card
i had the 2nd problem(black screen when in load) i even changed the thermal paste but the problem never went away!!😔😔
Did you?

@@701Gangstatainment yeah bro, preheat the oven at 400 degrees. Grab aluminum foil and lay it on the highest rack on the oven.
Good luck!

Sounds like something is fried on the GPU. Try it on another PC if you can, just to make sure it does the same thing there. If so, then the oven bake might be your only choice to bring it back (although it might not work, and if it does it might only last a short while).

@@TechDweeb Hmm, the thermal pads are new as well...
@@TechDweeb Hmm, it doesn't look like a normal crash, the fans of my GPU would go max speed when it crashes/black screen

In that case the only solution that might work for you is the oven method, that's what I'd be trying personally in that situation
Any ideas?
Thank you
If that's the case, if you've repasted the GPU, then your only option left is to do the baking method :/

@@TechDweeb Ok thank you for your advice. :)
I don't have oven nither my friends what should I do
I have a 3070 and it artifacts in bios and sometimes crashes and the screen goes black
Hey TechDweeb my gpu goes into random solid colour while booting up, what should I do please help😭
@@TechDweeb ok i will give it a try, thanks
I have a RTX 3070 that is really acting up, Idk what to do
Symptoms?
@@TechDweeb Artifacts under Load and Freezes the Game and shuts down the Game
I replace thermal paste and the temperature is good but problem still what I do
If it's crashing under load, even though your sensors are reporting okay, it's still likely a temperate issue. My only other suggestion for crashing under load after replacing the thermal paste would be to undervolt and possibly underclock the GPU to keep the temps under the threshold where it crashes.
I think my thermal paste was wrongly put on
Rx 5700xt, leds light up (power from pcie) but doesn't seem to power up at all otherwise.
My gpu rx 570 4gb fan always runs at full 100% 3700rpm it seems like it has a broken temperature sensor, can I replace the fan to fix this error?
have you tried MSI afterburner to control the fan ?
my video card give artifacts how it said in the video, mostly happen in load but i tried 4 differend video cards...all give the same problem....is it my motherboard or giving my power supply not enough ? please help im out of idea's i tried allot to get it working nothing helps so far :(
So you've tried different video cards and they all give the same symptom? Good luck!

@@draaco16 Wowza. Well I suppose it could be motherboard related, I've never heard of this sort of thing happening though. The only way to know for sure is to try another motherboard & cpu. Obviously that's a big step for troubleshooting but that's the only way to narrow it down. I'm assuming you've already tried clearing the CMOS and updating the BIOS?
@@TechDweeb yes and yes, all i have not tried is a other motherboard/ system because i dont have a spare one laying arround that can fit my CPU and i have not tried a other power supply aswel those are the only ones left... i feel like im better off bying a new system in this case
@@draaco16 Yeah possibly, that's probably what I'd do in your situation. There are lots of decent 'no gpu' systems for sale, at least where I live. CPUs and motherboards too. It's actually a great time to upgrade anything that's not a graphics card!
Hey tech dweeb, i believe my problem was crashing under load. i was playing apex legends during the new season then suddenly it just stopped and went to no signal. when i tried to boot it back up my gpu would spin then just stop. I tried all the resetting cmos, checking ram, swapping ram and it didn’t work. do you think i should just try new thermal paste?
i could hear it running pretty hard but payed no attention to it
If it's now not giving a signal even after booting up, then I'd suspect something got fried. Replacing the paste won't help if you're getting no video at all. If it were me, I'd consider trying the oven method. But you should try it in another PC first just to make sure that it's a problem with the card and not your PC. Good luck!
@@TechDweeb i really have no other way to test it on another computer. i’m possibly just thinking of getting a new gpu or even power supply. It just feels wrong putting a graphics card in the oven
Yeah I know what you mean. The first time I did it I thought "am I being trolled? There's no way this will work"
It is, real repair technicians don’t put GPUs in the oven. UNLESS the other option is throw it in the trash. The oven is not an option. This video is more entertainment than information.

Why do you talk so funny?
People just talk how they talk
As someone who fixes gpu as a side job. This video is SHIT. Never bake/oven your gpu. All you're doing is destroying the gpu from something fixable into a dead one.
To even properly oven the gpu, always remove all eletrolytic capacitors first before even doing this and apply decent flux all over the board. Hell, to even know if artifacts causes the loose solder connection, check it with memory testers like tserver or mats/mods first!
