Started wandering around the garage trying to figure out a permanent and easy way and that was the ticket. I have not done the Mad Bull and I want one but I have not found one in stock anywhere other than the eScam store where all kits are priced 95% more than they are actually worth! It is not much more than a modigfied grasshopper chassis. It is on the DT01 chassis which is not difficult to build. As soon as they are in stock in the shops here I will be getting one. I remember starting at it in the magazines when I was a kid and thinking it was the coolest buggy at the time with those big ol tires on it!!! Congrats on the Blitzer Beetle, I am looking to add one of those to the collection very soon I think!!
Gary, when you get the Mad Bull, you must remember to do the steering servo mod that will eliminate the play in the front wheels. Get a piece of heat shrink wrap and cover the steering arm that fits between the steering servo saver and the front arms knuckle. Without this, you will have about a quarter of an inch play in the front wheels before the servo turns the front wheels. With the mod, you will have about a millimetre of play. Hope this helps you 👍. And if you run it any faster than a 15t motor, you will strip out the splines in the aluminium hexes that fit inside the rear wheels as the rear axle shafts have the splines on. I have a few Mad Bull's that run standard. They are not to everyone's taste but they are a blast to drive 👍

This one was pretty easy as it had just a little hand made work in it, the next is all hand made and completely custom so I am super excited to show you guys that one. Should be out soon! I have a beautiful Lunchbox and it has the Torque-Tuned and it does not do wheelies. I remember the 7.2volt Ni-Cd used to sit in the upper tray in the back and all it did was wheelis. But my Lunchbox is wheelie-lite.
I am surprised it does not do crazy wheelies with a torque tuned motor in there. Even with the silver can stock motor they do wheelies easily. Did you add weight to the front to keep it from doing them??
@@AddamsPlayground no I have not added any weight. I even bought lead weight thinking that I was going to have to tame the lunch box down by adding a few ounces of weight to the nose I have not done that yet but if I go from 0 to full acceleration it does not do a wheelie. I do not have any modifications on the speed controller I do not have it on soft start I do not have anything slowing down or timing wise delaying full power. As a matter of fact I'm using generation number one TEKIN rebel speed controller. The thing looks like an old car stereo amplifier with giant gold fins about six fins a red body I love these speed controllers I own several of them and they're still going after 30 some odd years. On top of that there are one button set up it was great back then. All you do is hold the set button for 10 seconds pull your throttle on your radio push your throttle on your radio Center it wait for seconds hold the button one more time for 3 seconds you can either lock out your reverse or you can leave it as normal with breaking or you can remove the breaking or you can lock out reverse and the braking all with one simple button and how many times and the duration of how long you press and depress the button. Even if your radio has no capability of servo reversing you can set it up by just holding that one button, throw the throttle forward then reverse and it will correct itself. Here's what I noticed my lunch box is heavy I haven't added anything to it no special Wheels no aluminum hardware other than the small tea bar that goes underneath the center to hold the front suspension in place and add the camber to those a arms other than the tea bar, there are body mounts which are aluminum, and that is it. And like I said I can gun it no wheelie the only time I get a wheelie is if I back up gently slightly because I don't care how good the gearbox is after you've done a lot of reverse to get the wheels up you're going to pull a tooth somewhere! But like I said, you have to be rolling backwards to get a wheelie and it does not ride a wheelie it will give you a hop up and it falls back down I'm rather disappointed
Hi Addam, happy New Year. Who doesn’t love the Mystery Machine?😉 Scooby Doo and not forgetting scrappy dog too! ( coming later in the series of course ). Great looking Lunchbox. Great tip on painting the wheels and using spare 1150 plastic bushings to stop the paint entering the bearing section of the wheels. Also like the adaption of a spray lid to make the wheel holder, great idea and tips. Looks amazing, I think I’ve got to get a Lunchbox 😊😉😊😉all the best 😉
Hi John, you really should look into getting one. Tons of fun no matter what paint job you do on it! Without that heavy spare tire on the front they really want to do wheelies all the time but not to the point of where they get boring to drive. It does steer better with that little bit of weight helping to keep the front down. I am just so used to my other one I kinda missed the front wheels in the air. I can stick a couple wheel weights on that back shelf of the chassis to get it back to full wheelie mode if I need to but for safety sake of not tearing up the body I will probably leave it alone! I have so many of those goofy bushings... I just can't throw them away!

When I got mine I got a hand wound an polished 16 turn motor figuring it was middle of the road. I caught heck from my buddies saying I should have either got a 12 turn or 19 turn. No matter, it was still better than stock. 😄
16t would have been a speedster in this! I am sure it would go nuts on full throttle!! I am sure the run times were pretty low too! I can close my eyes and feel the hot battery pack in my hands!! 😂
@@AddamsPlayground yes battery packs didn't last long and back then it was Ni-cad. The run time was about 13 minutes and you could do rolling wheelies. 🤠

Oh yeah the classic Mystery Machine! Looks fantastic Addam. Haven't seen anyone else put the spare wheel on. Great idea using that cap and the resin. Probably was that extra weight keeping the front end down. I'm going to guess A Team for the other van. Like you say there aren't all that many famous vans 🙂 Nice run vid too.

It would be a good way to do the base color for sure. The rust and the grey chipping would still need to be painted on. It isn't too clear in the video but in person they really looks like old crappy black steel wheels!

Yeah, could not find a color that fit it. The light blue was as I could find. I should have looked at Lowes or Home Depot to see if they had any spray paint in the perfect shade. It is close enough and looks really cool in person so I am happy with it. But yeah, the pics I found for reference were all over the place from blue to green and everywhere in between.
Me I would rather have a king black foit's black foot but I would love to have the suspension in the front end a little bit better other than the way it is same thing with the Super black foot they're front end they've gotta do something with that to make them a little bit better do you have a king Blackfoot or no please comment back thank you I like your little collection

@@AddamsPlayground Yeah I used to race the RC boats I belonged to the namba boat organization organization I had a million dollar insurance policy in case my boat went off water and hit somebody but I've got like 7 or 8RC yeah speak RC boats They are mainly weed wacker motors less headaches with Nitro Nitro Nitro boat motors are a pain pain but I am going to look out for the king Blackfoot RC trucks I want one more I will let you know if I see any for sale they have a fuel home on eBay eBay but people want crazy money for them I hope they do a new release on them They are good trucks nice talking with you I will keep you in mind if I see any new release king block if new release came King Blackfoot Be safe and have fun

Yeah, a few of the automotive self stick wheel balance weights work great for adding just enough to aid in performance.

Oh yeah the classic Mystery Machine! Looks fantastic Addam. Haven't seen anyone else put the spare wheel on. Great idea using that cap and the resin. Probably was that extra weight keeping the front end down. I'm going to guess A Team for the other van. Like you say there aren't all that many famous vans 🙂 Nice run vid too.
Thank you! I am super happy to have it in the collection now and love the spare tire! I stuck a few lead wheel weights in the back to counter the weight and it wheelies like normal now!! You may or may not be correct on your guess..... I will not give it away but it is totally cool!!

Thanks, I have wanted to do this for some time! I saw one about a year ago and decided right then I would do one. Took me a minute to get around to doing it but I think it turned out cool!

Happy new year to you as well! It needed the spare tire cover and was just what I was able to find that I was able to make fit. My original plan was to make it out of styrene sheet but this way was sooooo much easier!!

@@cw-01creations46 Yeah with the decals it makes it a bit harder to go away from the box art. Maybe a really dark blue instead of the gun metal? I like the box art so I'd end up going that route myself but I think if I were to go away from that the dark blue or maybe even one of the iridescent ones

It would be a good way to do the base color for sure. The rust and the grey chipping would still need to be painted on. It isn't too clear in the video but in person they really looks like old crappy black steel wheels!

For this I will. I do plan on sticking a sport tuned in my regular one but right now it is still stock. There will be a few getting some upgrades this year!

Yeah, could not find a color that fit it. The light blue was as I could find. I should have looked at Lowes or Home Depot to see if they had any spray paint in the perfect shade. It is close enough and looks really cool in person so I am happy with it. But yeah, the pics I found for reference were all over the place from blue to green and everywhere in between.

Me I would rather have a king black foit's black foot but I would love to have the suspension in the front end a little bit better other than the way it is same thing with the Super black foot they're front end they've gotta do something with that to make them a little bit better do you have a king Blackfoot or no please comment back thank you I like your little collection

@@AddamsPlayground You are very welcome I love the Blackfoot RC cars bars I have 3 of the super black foots and I have 3 of the king Blackfoot RC trucks and I enjoy them to the Max I own is Max I also have RC boats that I that I will run this year I have not run them In a few years I have to go through them but I will run a couple of them this year the trucks I run all the time I enjoy having the fun with them thank you for your video
@@martinneps9387 I have not gotten into boats. I tried flying and quickly found out I do much better on the ground than in the air for sure! Have not tried a boat yet. Maybe I try one out this year, who knows.
@@AddamsPlayground Yeah I used to race the RC boats I belonged to the namba boat organization organization I had a million dollar insurance policy in case my boat went off water and hit somebody but I've got like 7 or 8RC yeah speak RC boats They are mainly weed wacker motors less headaches with Nitro Nitro Nitro boat motors are a pain pain but I am going to look out for the king Blackfoot RC trucks I want one more I will let you know if I see any for sale they have a fuel home on eBay eBay but people want crazy money for them I hope they do a new release on them They are good trucks nice talking with you I will keep you in mind if I see any new release king block if new release came King Blackfoot Be safe and have fun
@@martinneps9387 Yeah, eBay is full of folks trying to get rich and prices are through the roof!!! Those are some big ol boats!! If I get one it will be electric just so I don't have to haul all that extra gear with me to go use it. I can see where they would be extremely fun and addicting to go super fast in a big boat for sure!

Most of it's life will be on the shelf. I will take it out occasionally and drive it around. It looks too cool out there driving I won't be able to just leave it sitting!
