A month ago I googled my name (I've got a very unique surname, and if someone knows my first and last name and searches, I'm the only one that will pop up) and found a community website that documents all arrests. Fortunately I was able to contact them and had my information removed.

I’ve had departments laugh in my face in interviews. Ive had a department accuse me of abusing adderall when I told them I have a learning disability. I literally wasn’t even on medication. I’ve had a department ask me if I’ve seen a minor drinking at a party and I said no. They outright didn’t believe me and just like that they would reject you as an applicant. These are people lying that they are desperate for employment. No they’re desperate for the dumbass Yes- men that they hire. I’ve had departments tell me they don’t know their own mission statement (this is where my uncle was sheriff and they still rejected me just because I chose to intern in my own county) I had departments lie that I’d get an interview to my face after my ride-alongs , I’ve had recruits who were the nastiest people I’ve ever met tell me I’d never be a cop and I didn’t even fucking know them. And you know what? I’m fucking glad I never became a pig.

He ended up quitting because all of his colleagues were corrupt. They would steal valuable items from houses which had been burgled when they were investigating.
