  • This was the first of our big walks climbing 3 Wainwrights including the 4th highest mountain in England and the highest we've ever done before.
Starting from Underscar Car park again, we completed a circular route, starting with the tough zig zag route on ascending to Little Man first. Then it was on to Skiddaw before retracing our steps and going left to Lonscale Fell across a grassy path. Then it was downhill to meet the Cumbrian Way and back to the car park. A tough walk on another glorious day in the Lake District.

That path up to Skiddaw was long. Bet the constant up was tiring. Fantastic hike, thanks for sharing.

Oh yes, that first bit was unrelenting, Andrea did not like it at all, but after that it wasn't too bad. Navigation was very straightforward too and we really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching, Ashley

Andria 'Two Sticks' did well on this walk as it looked a real tough one and Skiddaw is one fell I have avoided as everyone says its just a slog. The bonus you had was a the weather and the sunning views and good to see 'Mountain Fever' striking again lol. Nice to make discoveries on hike and yes, sheet are stupid and they always say, most slips, trips and falls happen at the end of a walk, good to see no injuries. A well deserved fish n chips indeed, cheers Alan

Alan, you missed nothing!! I always like it when a plan comes together and everything clicked that day. Glad we did it but there's many other walks still for us to do, one day! Regards, Ashley

That path up to Skiddaw does seem to go on forever, but great views as you were heading up. Great views from Lonscale Fell looking down in to the valley. Some nice shots of Ullswater at the end too! Cheers. Eddie.

Thanks Eddie. When it comes to editing the clips and photos it can be a battle what to leave out and what to keep in. You're good at it! Andrea says there's too much of her in it but I think I captured the experience. Glad we did it, now onto the rest - I've another 10 days to process still! Regards, Ashley

I agree with you about the editing, it is difficult deciding what to keep and what to leave out. My last two videos started off with one hours worth of video footage each, before I even started adding the photos ! Your shots of Andrea shows what the route is like as you head up to Skiddaw etc.Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip. Cheers. Eddie.

It’s a long route but once you get past the switchbacks at the start you’ll be fine. Looking forward to the video! Regards, Ashley

@@ashleyjarnold - what a bloody slog it was, pleased I took your route (well I think I did) back, much better, down to Skiddaw House and back through the valley, longer but much better.
