- To be honest, after a 12.5 hour shift plus my long commute to and from work, coming home to spend more than 30 minutes in the kitchen will be suicidal. That is why I meal prep. My fridge is loaded so that when I get home I can focus on getting some sleep...which is not so easy anyway😣. Of course by meal prepping I save us a lot of money ...because those ordered lunches add up quick! Best of all we know what we're eating.

As an African American who loves to cook I truly enjoyed watching you prep and prepare these meals. You make it look easy but I know it’s not. In fact it’s a lot of work. It’s only those who love cooking who can make it look

Love this video everything about it was satisfying. African food is a lot of work and very expensive so when I cook I tend to do what you just did freeze it and just cook my fufu,rice or vegetables when ever am ready for it. Thanks for sharing and your kitchen is beautiful.

I just found your channel and saw the dishes with all the food. 😋 I in USA so I don’t cook African but I use to cook certain dishes and freeze them saves so much time. Africans have learned to cook their own food, no KFC, Wendy’s , McDonald’s, Popeyes chicken in most of the African countries. You all are blessed in do many ways. You are very smart and organized, your kitchen is beautiful
If you want to get rid of cooking odors try some a cup of white vinegar and a pot of water

You are a STAR!!!! I am simply EXHAUSTED watching you cook and meal prep but you did a great job preparing great food for your family. FYI anytime you add too much sugar or salt to a dish simply add a whole raw potato to the dish and it will absorb the salt or the sugar. You are fantastic I watch you all the time....amazing wife and amazing chef!!

Honestly, I love this video. I am a working student and within this period of COVID where all the children are at home, it can seem as if every hour is spent either cooking or eating. Which is absolutely stressful. Due to this, I completely turned off actively contributing in the kitchen at home but this idea is something I can implement to have stress free day

I love ❤️ this. Mothers abr3. The jollof 👌💃🏽giving me life..I absolutely love that Belgique pot, cooks jollof to perfection. I use it like almost everyday. Meal prepping isn’t easy but once it’s done you have a free sense of mind, good food and also save money as you mentioned. You have terms ooo “octopus life” lol. Ooo where did you purchase the oxtail with the skin, everywhere I go the it’s skinless. Everything looks 👌😘, ooo and I’m coming for one bowl of soup wae mine is finished pas. I meal prep on Thursday and Friday, whether it is marinating meats or just cutting up stuff or actually cooking. That way we do not eat out on the weekends. That is our most tempting time. Of course my 11 year old can eat a whole casserole by his self in two days so I really have to have several dishes ready to go.
Meal prepping is a true saver. Lol he's a growing young man for sure!😂😂😂

In regards to cleaning down your work surfaces, in order for your disinfectant to truly kill all germs, it should be left for 10-15 mins then wipe it down.
