I love all these young people that want to keep "mountain" music, bluegrass alive.. it is the best music, and send a heart felt message.. I love all music except rap... but bluegrass is my fav!
It's good to see that Carson is already improvising to some classic Bluegrass/Country songs with his fiddle playing. When Carson Peters gets some time, he should have a very long conversation with Hank Williams, Jr.. When Peters reaches young adulthood, he is going to need to learn from the experiences and expectations that come from stardom at a very young age. He will need to learn to be able to establish a separate, adult persona, and he may have to adjust his playing and singing style to establish that adult persona as an entertainer. Peters will need to know that it will not be easy to do that, but he must work very hard at doing that in order to have a successful music career in the long run. It was not easy for Hank Williams, Jr. to find his adult persona, and it was not easy for Eric Clapton to develop his stage persona following his stints in The Yardbirds and Cream. Carson Peters will have to work hard, and to be patient. If he does this, Carson Peters will have a long music career ahead of him.
Although I agree with everything you say here, his preference in what he will play and write will be the bigger factor in his "success". If he truly feels he has been given a gift from the Lord, I would expect him to glorify the Lord in all he does. If not, he will be just another splash in the pond. Eternity determines real success, not Nashville or any other worldly arbitars. Proverbs 22:1
Carson, the man who wrote the orannge blossum was a family member,I will tel you ErvIn would have loved the way you play! I remember he would take the fiddle behind his back and play! He could entertain a crowd! He also wrote a song Sweeter than the Flowers ! look it up! ..........i will be following you!
Another comment, I don't mean to be critical of your comment or opinion, Dean Hayes, but I consider myself to be pretty darn liberal, but it certainly doesn't stand in my way, when recognizing great music and amazing talent. Politics is politics, but music is the one universal language that has the ability to bind us all. Carson is absolutely fantastic. Anyone should have the ability to recognize this, regardless of their politics.
I can't find his CD anywhere, but I have his father's name and address so I am going to put a money order I think it is only 15 dollars, I'm going to have the money order for 20 dollars, I can't wait till I get that CD wow, this kid is amazing!
This kid is really fantastic! I think he would have absolutely no problem learning to play "Flight of the Bumblebee." Then he could play both pieces one after the other and would wow the crowd with his ability to master country and classical virtuoso pieces.
I am not here to be critical in any way, but to offer him praises for a great effort and hope he continues to enjoy his music. It really is great music
whatever the " it " factor is.......................... this kid's got " it " ... Hope I get to see him in person before my days are done.... 10 dislikes ? defies logic...
Carson needs to be more upfront, Gawd, he's SO TALENTED, I think he needs a different career manager, cause this boy is talented beyond his years, and the public doesn't even know he's alive.... new management for Carson, PLEASE!!!! Don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, this boy is a diamond.

Hopefully Carson has parents who have instilled in him the proper values which sadly Hank Williams Jr did not.
