In Batman’s animated episode about Mr Freeze’s origin story (Heart of Ice)won an Emmy. Well written story and an absolute tragedy Victor endured
Yeah, and this DLC is an adaptation of that story. Not one-to-one, obviously, but enough to get the point across.

Kind of a tangential trivia fact is that Ferris Boyle was voiced by Mark Hamill, which was his first role in the animated series and was originally going to be his only one until they brought him back to audition for the Joker, and the rest is history!
While we're talking about story-related Arkham things, there was also a story DLC for Arkham City called Harley Quinn's Revenge, which gives us more time to get to know Robin.

For arkham knight, the 4k version from gamer's little playground's version doesn't have the background sounds. So the 1080p HD version would be better for you guys.

But the 4K version is 2hrs+ longer than the 1080p version. So it may have more lore to it than the 1080p version
I love how they questioned how much Batman's new suit weighs not realizing they talked over batman saying due to the structure of the suit it's adds insulation but not weight.

45:29 Victor is a villain in the sense that he's a tragic villain. His motivation is to save the woman he loves, and when something gets in the way of him accomplishing that, his morality goes out the window. Regardless of the law and who he hurts or kills. When that happens, that is when Batman has to stop him. And when he mentions his emotions being cold and heartless, it refering to anybody else other than Nora. The accident has left him an angry, cold hearted (no pun intended) and merciless man (except towards his wife).

This was top tier DLC, a great adaptation if one of the better Villain Origins of all time.
I know that comics are big on giving characters ironic names, but Mr. Freeze's name always cracks me up. The guy's last name is already Fries, pronuced as "freeze," and he becomes a villain who needs to be kept in subzero environments. Come on! That's too funny.

Arkham Origins was on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day while this DLC is on New Year’s Eve a couple of days after the main game.
This story takes place after origins. That’s why Alfred said “the hero of Christmas Eve”. Mr. Freeze comes out in Arkham City. So the timeline is origins, asylum, city and then knight

The study was occupied by civilians, Bruce couldn't use that entrance, so Alfred redirected him to the wine cellar entrance.
Also, the DLC takes place exactly 1 week after the main campaign. The campaign happened on Christmas Eve, Cold Cold Heart happened on New Years Eve.

You would have to be pretty pathetic to think The Batman's Riddler was good. It frankly makes his Batman look equally incompetent and stupid because of how a non threat like him could pull Batman through a 3 hour movie. Say what you want about Bale's Batman but at least he had 3 amazing villains which also made him a lot more likeable and competent.

Arkham Origins takes place on Xmas Eve, the Mr. Freeze DLC takes place a week later, and Arkham Asylum takes place 5 years later.

I love that movie with similar story. My Kevin Conroy Batman's trilogy movie (Batman: Mask of Phantasm, Batman: & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, Batman: Mystery of Batwoman). I also love the song they used for like Tia Carrere- I Never Even Told You and Cherie- Betcha Neva.

Freeze: kills innocent people on-screen in his character introduction.
"He's not really a villain." The ends don't justify the means, which is Batman's whole issue with Victor. Trying to save your spouse is a noble goal, but it doesn't excuse taking the lives of others to do so. Victor is sympathetic, though, because he is very much relatable. The context of his backstory gives us every reason to feel for him.
Batman doesn't kill people... typically. Originally, the character killed often. I mean, in one of his first outings in the 30's, he literally hanged someone from a noose suspended from a plane for everyone to see. Over time, the character softened and adopted a certain perspective that it's easy to kill, that he doesn't have the right to sentence someone to death and be their executioner, and that if he does cross that line in the future he may never come back to his senses (because Batman is, in fact, crazy in his own way). Even so, this rule only applies to humans and human-like alien species. He'll still kill monsters, demons, and those beyond humanity if he deems it necessary. Even _then,_ Batman is not above permanently immobilizing people or leaving them to die if they cross him in a deeply personal way, such as allowing Ra's to die in Batman Begins, or when he left KGBeast to freeze to death after he killed Batman's son. Then, of course, there are the multiple alternate universe versions of Batman who are more than willing to kill people for any number of reasons based on their own moralities and backstories. The most contentious one in recent memory (though, it kind of showed a lack of understanding of the character by fans) was Ben Affleck's Batman in BvS. He was, explicitly, grieving over the loss of an adopted child that was killed by a criminal he'd spared time and time again, and began to lose his humanity, killing criminals without much consideration and branding others with the bat-symbol so they would be victimized in prison. His character arc reached a turning point when he saw the humanity in Superman, who even in his dying moments was asking Batman to help someone else.
Finally, Arkham Origins and the DLC take place roughly ten years before Arkham Asylum. You can see that Batman has more of a sense of humor in the first game, and the implication is that after the events of Origins he let more people into his life and allowed himself to soften.
It seems interesting to state that their is a “Batman Arkham: Origins: Blackgate” that take place after DLC but it’s not on the consoles as it’s just on a PSP Vita that players missed by its lack of gameplay, but it carries some cutscenes that introduce the community with Suicide Squad members to the origin story on how Batman and Catwoman came to be the “Bat and the Cat” revivals to maybe partners.

Batman's trying to stop Freeze because he has been harming and killing people, plus he and his troops set fire to Wayne Manor and attacked innocent people such as Alfred, Vale, and others, and was willing to let them die in a burning house. It's not just helping his wife, it's that other people are getting hurt beyond the one person he wants revenge on. Regarding your questions about Freeze's name and Penguin's power, a couple fun facts. In his first comic book appearances, Mr. Freeze was called Mr. Zero. He was later renamed Mr. Freeze, but then his full origin with Nora didn't come until Batman The Animated Series in the 90s. Penguin started off as a gimmick villain in the comics but then after several arrests he changed tactics, dropping being a super-villain to become a standard gangster, making his way up the chain until he became a gun-runner and club owner. So he has power like any mob boss does, by paying his employees, protecting them from persecution, using influence he has over rich people, and torturing or killing enemies who cross him.

The chronological order for the Batman Arkham games are Origins, Asylum, City, and Knight.
For Arkham Knight you should find a video with all side missions as they tie in to the main story. Also do the DLCs

and Freeze is pretty bad, he cares for his wife and only his wife, anything in between is an obstacle to be removed, whether it is another criminal, a cop, or a random pbystander, he makes his appearance on this game freezing (presumably to death) a lot of people for free
Achara, don't watch Gamer'sLittlePlayground's video for Arkham Knight cutscenes. The 4k version doesn't have music which is essential to enjoy the game and the 1080p version skips some scenes. Checkout another youtuber's video for the game which is available. Music is very essential for Arkham Knight. DO NOT watch GLP's videos.

P.S. I would not recommend you the Remastered versions (except Remastered version of Bioshock 1, in original is too dark, you can not see background and some details), they cut out some details necessary for understanding the plot, in my humble opinion. I feel like Mr Freeze doesn't belong in Arkham Asylum. Arkham is for the criminally insane, but as far as I can tell, Mr Freeze isn't insane or, for the most part, a criminal. He only had noble intentions, but may have gone about achieving them in the wrong way. I don't think he's actually k*lled anyone (I could be wrong about that. If I am, can someone please correct me).
