He started out as a preacher apparently and then when they asked him to play piano his rock n roll instincts took over so they threw him out and he turned fully to rock n roll. When Jimmy Swaggart was starting out he was skint so Jerry Lee his cousin bought him and his wife a brand new car to help them out. Jesus has never left him !
no matter what song he sang or played he had his own style and in most cases it was better than the original. nobody will ever top jerry lee on the piano or roy clark on the strings. both are in a league of their own👍👏
