As universal as gossip for women XD Reminds me of that story from Afghanistan IIRC, where the women from a village would have to walk like a mile or more to get water. The US soldiers fixed them up a system of pipes and shit to get water to the village, but it kept getting sabotaged. Turns out it was the women sabotaging it, because they enjoyed the time away from their husbands on that mile or more walk!

Gun laws like those is why everyone in Serbia just gets their weapons from alternate sources. That way you can get full auto and anything you want with the added bonus of not having the police sniffing around your house and personal affairs. I don't know any "legal" owners of firearms in Serbia but I know a lot of fire arm owners in Serbia.
Yup, same in every country. But if they catch you having one of those weapons you’re looking at a long prison time and all your shit taken away. There will be no trial or jury you will be proclaimed guilty and sentenced. Maybe you’ll be able to buy your time out if you have a lot of money.

We love our guns in Serbia. Fun fact, Serbia has the highest civilian gun ownership per capita in all of Europe and is number 5 in the world 😮.
There are a lot of leftover guns from the Yugoslavian era and many people mandatory served and kept their issued weapons. Some registered some unregistered. Nonetheless people there love their guns.
I enjoy hearing/learning about the gun (and weapons in general) laws of different places. If I understand it right there is a law about certain magazines in Canada that is based on what it was purchased for (intent, per se)... You can own a semiautomatic M14 type rifle in Canada but are limited to 10 round mags, I believe. BUT, there is a model of bolt action rifle for sale that accepts M14 magazines. Since it is a bolt action, the magazine can be a larger capacity. So, if you own the M14 and this bolt action rifle, you can then legally by the 20 round magazine FOR the bolt action but also USE it in the M14! OK!
Anyway, pretty Cool info and Nice video. Ya'll Take Care and be safe, John
PS: Here is an interesting fact about 'People Control' (because that IS what weapons laws are about). In the pre Civil War era in the United States there were weapons laws to basically try to keep free black people from having weapons. Since a firearm was basically cost prohibited (like the 200 dollar NFA tax was, at the time of its inception) they regulated 'other' 'weapons'. Black people weren't allowed to own pikes or 'multiple' dogs.
There you go, laws to control people that were the same as 'gun control' but were about other weapons of the time
No their passion for gun is a healthy one unlike yours which is toxic one.
These Laws would be considered restrictive in The US, the fact that the Government has to give you permission to own A Firearm.

What he forgot to mention... in addition to all he said, before being given the written permission to buy a weapon (permission expires after 6 months if weapon not procured), you need to attend classes (usually in one of the target practice/shooting range facilities that have trained and certified personnel), go through theoretical and later practical tests, which will provide you with a certificate on safe usage of a firearm. Well that was very informative, also nice to see that they can have firearms. I reckon I'm blessed to have been born in Missouri after hearing what they have to go thru to get a firearm. Thank you for all you do
Fun fact: what you saw in this video is nothing more than the formal procedure of acquiring a firearm, just like everywhere else, but the thing is, most Serbs that I personally know, both acquaintances and relatives, who own a firearm and there's quite a few of them, did not acquire it through this formal procedure.
Then there's the thing of them owning not just one firearm, they tend to own multiple firearms and you can bet your rear that there's bound to be at least one Zastava M70 in their collection, since it's acquired illegally I think you can imagine what function would classify it as illegal.
Thus there are more Serbs who own an illegal firearm than those who own one legally and not just by a margin, no, it's a huge difference, I'd say of all Serbs who have a firearm at least 90% do so illegally so this process is all nice and dandy but it simply doesn't mean jack !@#$ here.
@@Daurentius322 not much difference here either,😁. One welding crew I worked with, I was the only guy on the crew who wasn't a convicted felon, I likely had the least amount of firearms.

One thing that seems to exist across cultures is that when it comes to guns if you buy one you’re about to spend a lot of money because it seems it’s an expensive hobby no matter what country you’re in. But man is it a fun hobby.
James I think you should visit Poland, we have a vast history of producing high quality firearms and the gun movement is growing big (even before the Ukraine situation), every year there's light infantry shooting competition and ziga from polenar tactical was there for last 2 years so he could maybe take you in under his wings in Poland xD
Poland seems based and my last name is polish
2022 and the grot still cracking carriers lmao
The gun movement in Poland in 2022 has completely overgrown the gun stores, gun suppliers, gun importers, gun ranges, exams for a sport shooter, sport shooting competitions and even the police licensing capabilities. Now if you want something else than a Glock or other boring firearms you better be ready to travel the whole country to a random gun shop that still has what you are looking for. And better do it fast, because if you wait it will be gone in a few days max. Now even the most popular AKMs from two major Polish factories are hard to find. Back in 2020 every single gun shop in Poland had these ready in stock.
I lived and worked in Warsaw from 2008-2011, and stay in touch with a few friends there. They tease me about the ease of American access to guns (in vending machines, etc.), but I get the feeling they're just out of touch with the shooting enthusiasts of Poland:). That is why we Serbs have such a lousy army because our military doctrine is for the army to resist as long as possible so that the civilian population can form militias and then start hampering the invader, that is why in WWII when the Germans invaded our country they needed almost 800,000 soldiers just to control us Serbs.

There’s a hole in the wall mom and pop gun store in Carson City Nevada that has probably 100 ARs and AKs on the wall. Compared to the Serbian gun store it looks like Costco. I wish him well. That must be a tough business with laws like that.
You can't have SAFE schools and liberal gun laws at the same time! Must decide...
My heart weeps for Serbia
@@MrDextrator have you ever wept in a good way?
The Part where I esteemed the Founders again. The firearms store owner said, "First you need to go to the police and get permission..." to buy the firearm. Thank God I live in a country with a good Constitution.
Dude I haven’t played with fireworks in over 20 years but those £1 fireworks looked like quarter sticks of dynamite…. 🤣
....and they sound like a dynamite. You don't want to be close at all when it detonate, believe me😵💫
James, I have been asking for a few years now, but I would love to see your, or hop’s, take on a Bersa TPR9C 👍🏻Argentinian military sidearm that runs beautifully for sub $400
Any new Bersa would be great. Great build quality. Very rarely talked about firearms.
Good choice, not many people know about the tpr9c. I picked one up in 2019 for $ 258.00 and have shot about 1000 rds through it before covid. It's everything, and some. Worth every dollar. They're still out there at a decent price. $ 350-410
Bersa = sucks
@@mc4906 so you have shot the TPR9c and have fails of any type?
Where I live in Missouri you just go into the store pick out your gun they make a quick phone call if you have no felonies you walk out within about 15 minutes. The Serbian gentleman would love it here.
I love to travel in the Balkans. People are genuine and friendly on a level that surpasses all other countries that i have visited. Me being a person of color have NEVER experienced rasism in the Balkans,of course I'm aware that it exists. But i have never been botherd by any rasists under all my years of traveling in the Balkans. The people of Balkan are friendly, hospital and love their Rakija and guns.
I hope moore people travel to see their beautiful country's and history ❤️
One of few advantages of being ex socialist countrie is that everyone was treated equally regardless of gender age sd Belgrad was hub for education for most of non aligned African countriesso yea naturaly we are not racist
That was an interesting video. Need more like this. Gun laws and availability in other parts of the world. Thank you.
Yes, can buy used Glock 19 for only one thousand USD.
Let's send James on a WORLD TOUR!!! To check out all the counties like he does in this vid: Iceland, Russia, Nigeria, Brazil, Philippines, Somal... errrr, maybe skip Somalia.
This dude conceals a skorpion, awesome
doesn't really sit right with me that law enforcement, regardless of what country, has so much power to determine whether or not people can acquire weapons.
Thank you. I Like the Serbian Gun Laws and Spirit of Freedom! Cheers from Houston Texas!
I’m from Oregon, you have more than likely heard of measure 114, gun ownership in Serbia is similar to what I’m about to have to deal with
Finland and Serbia are two places I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life.
After one year in Serbia, you would probably chose Finland.
@@Whatta33 well , imagine living there for your whole life...
Ya I've never been to Serbia but the whole vibe I was getting from this gun shop is, "This is where the upper class of Belgrade go for the expensive stuff." lol. I think the average Serbian gun owner got their gun from some shady dude named Dragan behind a shed lol.
@@Whatta33 Serbia is weird country but i still could not live anywhere else..yes i go to vacation to different countries but after 10 days i must return here ..just cant explain why ...i kind off feel most free here even i know that politicly we are far from real democracy
@@zackhawn5944 You get the point. Laws here are among worst and most strict on the globe. I think that Serbia goes right behind USA with gun ownership per 100 people. Most of them are of course illegal.
Love this episode and yes, we want to see James on the Friends Wall! Keep 'em coming Brother. 🤓
7:51 1 month! I applied for my firearms license 2 years ago and have not heard a word from the police here in New Zealand.
You’ll have to wait for the next govt most likely. I have to renew my license by 2024. Thinking I might apply now though because NZ police are currently 2yrs backlogged
1 month wow thats awesome it took me allmost 2 years to get my licence to carry here in South Africa
Not to carry, just to possess a gun and keep it in your house.
there's no carry permit available for civilians in Serbia, expect in very extreme cases, you get ownning permit, and gun stays in your home and doesn't leave the premises under any circumstance, because you buy one under pretext that you'll use it for self defense, the only way to get carry permit is to legally prove you won't make it alive outside the premises of your home due to whatever reasons, and proving that is very very difficult
I hope this man’s store thrives.
TFB should do a series bringing people like him and others to the US to experience our gun culture. Of course in free states like TX, MS, AZ, NV.
If you think texas is a free state, you live in a bubble lol. Up until what? Just this last year they finally got constitutional carry lol.
@@shizukaryujoukai2465 it definitely is a “free” state compared to where I live… good ole Commiefornia
Arizona is no longer a free state

Where’s the assortment of adidas track suits?!
in the sniper rifle section. you have to squat down to see them.
Very interesting compare and contrast. Those gun stores look like high end, boutique jewelry stores!
I just recieved my Possession and Acquisitions Licence, Here in Canada, you don't need a doctor to sign off on anything/do a shooting test or go to the police for additional paperwork.
You pay for the course and you can choose whether you want just your regular licence for non-restricted (shotguns and rifles with an 18" or longer barrel and an overall length of over "26) or pay extra for the restricted (handguns with a barrel length of 4.2" Armilite rifles/rifles with a barrel length under 18") class and get that enhancement on your license. Suppressors and full auto guns are prohibited and since December 1998, you can't get a prohibited enhancement.
You send in your application paperwork with a picture (sighed by a witness proving it's you) to the Canadian Firearms Officer where your background check is done and the application is approved or denied.
Your license is good for 5 years.
I moved to the United States when I was seventeen. Both my parents are serbian. I am a christian, far right politically and so pleased that I can buy some of this 1776 stuff like it's candy. Founding fathers were truly exceptional people. Wise and courageous. They could see into the future and they understood human nature.
This video just became a relic of a bygone day
In Portugal is impossible only army , police , same people of justice and of course criminals. Normal people is almost impossible. :-/
I love Serbia!
Went to a shooting range in Beograd that had a bar in it. Amazing.
Can you imagine showing someone from Serbia a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops. This was a great video. He seemed like a very nice guy.
Bare in mind that we have much bigger and better-stuffed shops than this one! Not like America, but enough because guns are just guns for us - not compensation for little dick...

Hahaha you can come and visit my village in Kolubara and go from house to house and ask people whether they got "confiscated" and I am sure that you'll be rather surprised to hear that such a thing just miraculously never seemed to have happened in our region, or better yet, for the vast majority of rural Serbian areas, that is.

Only 3 of the 200 countries on earth have a constitutional right to own guns. And two of those countries (Mexico and Guatemala) ignore this right. The freedoms of the USA are truly special and must be preserved.
Yes Yes
Belgrade is an amazing city. Next time I go I would love to visit a shop and range. In a perfect world it would be DumDum's range.
We have all kinds of guns here in Serbia, every household has atleast one, Greetings!
Very interesting episode. Cool Idea James!
God bless America. At least what she used to be
Gunlaws in Serbia are much simpler than in United States
Four categories:
A: automatic, silencers, explosives (military and police only, forbidden for civilians)
B: semi-automatic rifles, pistols, revolvers and all other guns except black powder guns (requires you to make application for firearms possession and you must wait to see if it gets approved)
C: converted, old disabled guns, gunpowder replicas, blank guns, powerful airguns, bows&crossbows over 101lb (requires you to notice local police station about your purchase)
D: Bows&crossbows below 101lb, not powerful airguns, pepper sprays, tasers, knives (no permit)
"You know, in the United States, we can just but them (fireworks) from tents on the side of the road." We used to be able to do that with guns too.
I wish more people could see this, I couldn’t imagine having to go down to police dept and ask for permission to buy a firearm. Thank God I’m in the USA.
Yeah... And then go trough classes to get a licence. From theory, handling, hunting... Pay that, pay taxes...it adds up.
Thank you God that I live in The greatest country in the world Texas.
You should travel more.
