This is literally one of my worst fears, I always see those cracks in the elevator and I get so scared of dropping my phone in it that I put it away in my pocket or jacket.
My Dad's old phone was a Samsung galaxy... something. That phone got lost two years ago, was found a week after it got lost, had survived getting run over at least once, and getting rained on. Dad passed that phone down to my little brother who still has the phone to this day. Works as good as when we first got it. I think it's a blessing that every so often a phone decides it doesn't wanna give up on life yet.

My biggest fear is that I'll be getting on and drop my sketchbook down the shaft. I seriously doubt anyone would help me retrieve it and my sketchbook isn't just my livelihood, it's my whole life, too.
