Awesome update
The ramp and highway are very cool
A Hollywood sign would be perfect
The effort you put in to make the city realistic is well appreciated
Thank you very much!!
That ramp connection was SUPER satisfying :)
Wow that is a massive freeway
Loved the video and excited to see the city progress. I know it’s directly inspired by L.A , but I think you should expand the light rail line. Maybe make it run the long way of the layout .
I think that a hill will look good 👍
Looking good. Keep it up, I love watching you guys bring your ideas to life. Great job
Thanks so much!
You should add in some of those red-painted curbs, just like in real-life LA.
So cool but you should make the ramp 1 lane and keep the freeway going under the bridge instead of having the free way just go straigh up
I love all the roads thru the city. I think it looks great.
Great work! The ramp is so cool, I love it. It fits so perfectly too! It would be cool if put the hotel cecil in the city. Just a suggestion
I think this city has a lot of potential. The sunken highway is super cool and all of the different Los Angeles neighborhoods/suburbs should come together really nicely.
The bike lanes in LA are green
Oh, and maybe you should add freeway entrance sign?
The best city in all over YT.
I defenitely feel like santa monica should have a tuning shop/ car garage and a fire department. The layout is giving me such gta 5 vibes! I love it
Love the new configuration. But driving any downtown LA freeway is a nightmare! Been doing it for over 30 years 😮😢
Great city update AFOLTV.
As an European, I really appreciate the expanded road layout and the inclusion of a highway section - the L.A. skyline, beach front and highway/grid system are iconic to the city's look globally.
The ramp transition is a pleasant surprise to come out of the new road section plates design.
Even if the previous beach layout was a great viewing intro to the city, taking a step back for the urban layout I think it will help it evolve into a more dense and detailed area, in the new location. (hoping it will run all the bike path length).
The Hollywood sign is nice to have, but it might be too out of sight & small, behind the downtown skyline - would recommend a dense foliage hill section with an overhang villa.
Keep up the amazing work and enjoy the holidays.
‘Famous building in Santa Monica’. My guess is 100 Wilshire. 😉
I think it’s funny how you transitioned a random street into the freeway 🛣️. Gets around having to build the entry ramp
Very common throughout the LA/ OC region
I love the city of Los Angeles
looking good!
Love the videos your city helps me inspire the start to mine but I don't have space so I will be making a larger one when I get more space
Really cool, will be continuing an my city then I go for Christmas holidays
Nice update! The Freeway is a great addition!
I’m diggin the new freeway! Definitely makes this city much more unique👍👍👍
Looking good, I always love the LEGO layouts based on real places.
Another thing of note, those IKEA tables are hollow-core, think heavy duty cardboard, so they tend to get warped after long times of holding loads of LEGO, like in a city layout. Covering the tables with plywood is a very economical upgrade. compared to upgrading the tabletop to a solid ones
The highway/freeway looks awesome!
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Miami layout was sunk by the amusement park. Once they hit that roadblock, and the unsatisfying options they faced, it killed any creativity and motivation. That’s my guess anyways. As an LA resident I’m anxious to see what you folks come up with❣️
Great video - looks good so far!
Amazing update, love it, looking forward to the next updates, have a great holiday season
Instead of a split freeway, have you considered making the slope into an on ramp and then just having 2 “northbound” lanes? Since there are tunnels in either side we would still be able to tell what it is. To me that’s more realistic than northbound interstate traffic having to use stop lights while southbound is not impeded.
That was the original plan, but we thought people would comment about not having both directions 😂
@@AFOLTV I think it’d awesome! As it is right now there’s a perfect set up for both on and off ramps. I think if both on and off were there with markings it’d be very clear what was happening. Enjoy watching everything you guys do!
Great work on the Highway, but don't wouldn't it make sense to have the on ramp be one lane then have another lane go under the bridge?
Your vids are great
Thank you!
Dope
Thanks!
this city has a lot of potential, but way too much road taking of space
what is the current footprint of your tables?
I'm in the beginning stages of making a city and wanted to get an idea of how much I want to build.
How do you make the airport runway. I’m thinking of buying the lego airport and make a Lego city but I would love to have a runway for the airport.
I hope they don´t launch a new street set!
Jealous
7th plz pin
Not trying to be a wise guy but in your last video you said more people wanted to city more buildings then roads. So you guys added a whole bunch more roads?
I know you say that the highway is iconic but I don't think bumper to bumper traffic is very iconic. People like Iconic things. They hate the LA traffic.
When you build a new city why would you build a road/car heavy monstrosity? Why not build a city with proper trains? Seems a shame that 50% of the space is devoted to roads
Because it’s based of LA as extensively mentioned in the video
L.A is well known for huge highways, this just makes the city more accurate.
