    mate the alternator would probably of been okay once you got the cluster fault done. should of went Automodz in Nottingham would of cost you 850 for block mod and would of had it back same day. i had block mod rs clutch and a map cost me 1600 all in had it back 7 hrs later watched them do the whole job man

  • @ifoundmytv
    @ifoundmytv 2 роки тому +5

    So the cluster showed no other signs of the dry solder and they "repaired it" they also out on a "uprated" alternator "syvecs friendly" despite you not having big power or running syvecs... Talk about taking advantage of your customers 🤦🤦

      The thought did cross my mind because I don’t have a huge following like other UA-camrs could I not film but Darren did speak with me at length to be fair and was a sound guy. He made a very valid point that blockmod videos have been done to death on UA-cam!

    I loved my electric orange focus, bought it for 5k and when I was done it owed me over 10.5k with things that needed doing and me going stage 2 and everything else to go with it. I ended up getting rid after continuous boost problems and all the common problems. Really thinking about getting another because of the 5 cylinder sound but do I really want the costs that come with it? lol If I do get another will have to already had everything done to it as I really don't want to be going through all that again

    another reason why i bought a modified one this time round, the cost of new performance parts have sky rocketed which has also effected the 2nd hand market, had mine 3 weeks and still got a bill of £1200 but you have to expect that considering there not new cars anymore, also another reason to learn to do stuff yourself, will save a fortune that way

      These aren’t true Volvo engines, they’re built cheaply to suit Ford bean counters and Volvo aren’t exactly going to pull out all the stops when building engines for different manufacturers that are directly competing with their own T5 vehicles. Never heard of a T5 powered Volvo car with these same problems especially the older 850 t5r that was built with incredible quality and would easily carry a mildly tuned 300bhp for starship miles on stock internals.

    • @tracieoliver2307

      @@Luton-Mick The Volvo T5 was only ever mildly tuned yet some of these focus units are being tuned way beyound the 300bhp mark hence issues will occur! We keep hearing about T5 volvo and how well it lasted and yes I agree but just look at all the after market spill that is available for the focus Range then you will see the issues these engines will have.

      It shit itself, I ordered the full kit through them and was messed around on them being ordered and I'd already paid. I'd call to speak to the owner Darren and be told he's not there right now but he was sat next to him at the time. Lies break business trust for me its a real deal breaker. This is slightly long winded now but I reffered a friend who paid an £850 deposit to secure a spot for some work doing to the head and block mod/ rs clutch deal. They took his money said nothing about a book in date for over 2 weeks, he again was made to feel like he was taking the piss contacting them and ended up asking for his money back after week 3 and no bookin date. He'd paid £850!!!
      He booked into dreamscience who gave him an immediate date, took no deposit and awaited BDPERFORMANCE paying the £850 for the settlement of his bill which was 5k worth of work.

    I wanted to fully poly bush my st, I’d used Bd for the 5 years I owned the car, had spent thousands and never had an issue, I contacted them to order the poly bush kit which they told me would need ordering in and paying for prior to the work being carried out, I was told it could take anywhere from a week to a month as the company had a bit of a back log, after a month I had heard nothing so called to see if it was in and was told is was not, a few weeks later after a home emergency I thought I could not afford the further £700 to fit the kit so I thought I’d ring to see if the kit had arrived and if not I’d like to cancel the order and get a refund, the kit had not arrived but I was told I’d need to speak to Darren over a refund and he’d call me back, he never called back so I called them numerous times constantly being promised a call back which never came, 10 months on, i still have no refund, as far as I know they still have the kit or may have sold it on to another customer which is what I was told they would need to do before I got my money back on one of the occasions that I managed to speak to Darren, as far as I’m concerned now they have stolen £600 off me

      WOW!!! That’s shocking story to hear!! Have you thought about contacting them again or taking them to small claims court to retrieve your money?

      @@BamMotors gonna have to contact them again, but after ringing most weeks for the last 9 to 10 months and just getting fobbed off or told you’ll be called back I feel a bit defeated with it, have been in touch several times with citizens advice bureau who’ve Said they’ll send template letters for me to copy but genuinely wanted it done amicably, I’ve been too patient with it and I think I’m probably just going to actually drive there and see them face to face, bit harder to just dismiss you when you’re stood there in person, hopefully it’ll be worth the 45 min drive otherwise it’ll be small claims court
