- On December 11th, 2018, Mumkey Jones was terminated from UA-cam for allegedly violating community guidelines. UA-cam's reasoning for this ban was completely unfounded, and all appeals were rejected or ignored. This termination appears to be solely UA-cam's doing, with no involvement from the UA-cam community. It sets a horrifying precedent where UA-cam is free to expunge any UA-cam channel at will, with impunity, and without due process.
It is unclear whether Mumkey's termination was directly influenced the recent mass-attack on PewDiePie by the online news media. After PewDiePie briefly shouted out a channel which, unbeknownst to him, had questionable political views; the news media pounced on him and began to construe the story as an indictment of PewDiePie's character and UA-camr's overall culture. This story was widely circulated and totally blown out of proportion featuring news articles with deceptive and unfair reporting. PewDiePie's $200,000+ charity donation from the week prior went almost completely unreported. The inequity of these two events leads one to infer that the negative PewDiePie coverage is almost certainly agenda-driven.
Mumkey's termination and PewDiePie's media attack are both signs of a troubling new era for content creators on UA-cam. We are entering a period of mass authoritarian censorship from media pressure. This isn't about the principle of enforcing community guidelines, this is about systematically targeting and removing individuals which UA-cam and the media view as cultural opponents. We must remain vigilant in the face of this threat, and vocally resist UA-cam's gross abuse of power.

After watching all of your commentary videos on UA-cam, I have no words for what UA-cam has been doing.
UA-cam has been grooming TV show clips, movie trailers and news corporations, and shoving the good, independent, grass-roots UA-camrs out the door.
The only independent UA-camrs that they _do_ promote are people that actually _should_ be shunned, like the Paul brothers (who, by the way, were DISNEY CHANNEL STARS, which was probably why UA-cam decided to groom the hell out of them).

UA-cam can do these crazy acts because they essentially have a monopoly on the create your own videos format. Honestly a whole new platform would be best, but it would be such an uphill battle against Google.
Despite that there is no technical monopoly on "create your own videos" due to a great deal of alternative competitors that offer similar services with differing enforcements, UA-cam is technically the most popular and influential website for the video content creation. Nevertheless, it is always good to question and challenge any policy and back up to alternative websites should one fall down.
best chance is having an already popular app or site introduce it. Like snapchat or an influential company creating a version.
A bunch of affected influencers need to PHYSICALLY protest at UA-cam's main office. We need something they can't ignore.
We really need to start a movement for our whole “get it” community (edgedudes/memes,etc) and migrate to a new platform

@Alcralix No, they won't. A lot of his fans are still underage and/or in Europe. While UA-cam's HQ is some remote area in the Sillicone Valley. And even if a considerate number of them did show up, what good would they do? They aren't UA-cam's desired audiance anymore. They want those mindless idiots that will gladly pay for UA-cam Red and watch any trash that gets thrown their way. In other words, they want to be the next Netflix
First case: You could sue UA-cam for discriminating against a creator.
Second case: You could sue a lot of the news companies for defamation.

I recently found you, long time (since 2006, different account) youtube viewer. I'm not 💯 on the exact timeline, and atm Imma too tired to bother checking the timeline, but I remember that when Obama invites the US (Pewdiepie isn't American, funnily enough) UA-camrs to the White House and I couldn't find what was the exact discussion points.....With a bunch of people who talk about, post about, IG about EVERYTHING.....I realised that was the end of UA-cam soon.

As someone who's been using UA-cam for about a decade now, it's so bizarre to be a part of this culture war that's going on right now.
Back in 2011, PewDiePie was the last person I'd want to be subscribed to, but now in 2018 there's absolutely no one else that I'd want to be at the top of UA-cam. We're so unbelievably lucky to have such a wholesome normal dude to rally around as we watch UA-cam gets more and more corporate and scary.
Anyway keep up the good work. Your videos are always great. Hopefully your channel doesn't get nuked for endorsing school shooters and nazis.

I know exactly what you mean. I started watching his videos when he was relatively small - hell, I think he was even one of the first channels I subscribed to. Then I stopped watching his stuff and unsubbed (and actually started to really dislike him) when he got to the super obnoxious phase. And now I decided to check his stuff out because of friends saying he was a lot better and I'm subscribed again.
I think it's a shame that PewDiePie and other creators don't start putting their stuff up in other websites and try to migrate their fanbases onto there. I'd be 100% fine with ditching UA-cam, but all the people I watch only have their stuff on here :/
