For optimal muscle development, you shouldn't actually go all the way down, and instead should go back up again just before you lock your elbows to make sure your muscles are under constant tension. So the whole "you need to go all the way down for optimal form" is generally considered wrong nowadays.
@@prospect8245 that’s a cool fact. You wanna know another cool fact? This is a government fitness test they expect full range of motion for every rep. So all the way up till your chin is above the bar without flailing or kipping. Then all the way down till your elbows are completely straight.
