Mine is almost ripe. 2 years on July 4th… first pineapple ever from store bought. Same method you used. People say it takes too long.. well , seeing this beautiful plant grow and grow and then flower is amazing!!! Two years actually flew by, im so happy to say I grew a pineapple!!! I also have a banana plant and avocado.. I love watching them grow and hope to see them give new fruit. What a joy!!!
For your patience and dedication towards growing this pineapple about 2years of hardwork for this tiny fruit plant. You did a great job

After I saw this video I apareciate each time I can eat a pineapple, knowing it takes this much care and time made me apareciate it even more.

It only takes 2 years because it from the head of the pineapple. You will have one every year after that.

@@antoniagomez2721 Eso depende del clima y de la corona, ya que unas son más fértiles que otras, a mí a los tres días ya me le han salido raíces en tiempo de calor y a otras me han tardado hasta un mes en salir en tiempo de lluvias, todo depende del clima, los cuidados y obviamente de que tipo de corona de piña tenga.

Is this just the first fruit of a pineapple plant, or the only fruit ?
After the first fruit, the pineapple plant will grow another stem called “sucker” that will grow another fruit, and after that it will grow another stem (sucker) and grow another fruit and so on. A pineapple plant have a life span of about 7 years. But the thing is, most farmers don’t let the pineapple plant live it’s natural life span because as the plant gets older, the fruit it produces is smaller. So pineapple farmers tend to throw away the plant after the first fruit and start new.

I wander if the pineapple “tree”makes another one after the he first pineapple is harvested 🤔 or you have to plant for the beginning an wait for another 2 years for the pineapple
the pineapple "plant" after giving its first fruit produces "suckers" and those are planted and from there you can get pineapples in less time, but the mother plant dies after giving those "suckers".
with the suckers you can have pineapples in a year.
I like the color of it at the 1yr 10 that's cool
Does it only produce 1 fruit and die? Will the mother plant produce more fruit?
How about the side shoots? Does it take two more years for them to produce one ripe fruit?
