    Great content! Your videos have been helping me learn more and make a final decision about the sonography path. I’m also in South FL and Broward College is the school I’m looking at for this program. Thanks for sharing your experiences, it is much appreciated.

    One question I have is what were your methods for studying while in the program? I am anticipating that it will be a very intensive program and I’d like to have a good game plan when it comes to studying material, understanding the concepts, and then applying it in clinical. I don’t want to end up being someone who barely squeezes through each course without really retaining anything. I want to really want to ‘know’ the material for real for real. Any help would be awesome. 🙂

      Great question ! I would advise you to read over your notes daily or after each class day. It is ALOTTT of information in a short period of time so keeping up with it and reviewing concepts after learning is a major help.Studying a night or 2 before an exam can get you an ok grade but if you really want to retain the information, repetition is key. Reading after each class plus each day leading up to an exam will help you grasp the concepts more and then they will stick more permanently.

    I’m conflicted in taking basic physic or general physics because I am currently working on my bachelors degree in NYC and would join an ultrasound tech program after I graduate. Please any advice would help

    Hi Morgan! I’m moving to Florida in a few weeks to finish my pre reqs and apply to a program there. Which schools do you recommend the most?

    • @morganashley3420
      @morganashley3420  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Angelique! I'm in the south Florida area so the schools I know or heard good reviews during clinicals are Broward college, Keiser University, Cambridge and Nova Southeastern University. Those are the most popular programs in the south but they have many more all over Florida. Look out for accreditation when finding a program as the main thing! Goodluck !

    I have question it’s been long time since I was in school. Iam going for sonography do you think it’s good idea to take maths again just for my revision? And which Math would you recommend I have taken algebra040 so should I take this math or any other level which would help me with that.

    Hiii, thank you so much for this video! I’m currently taking physics for my prerequisites and I’m slowly drowning. Science is not my strong suit lol. So this was such a concern for me, your video Really helped clear things up for me. Also is anatomy and physiology hard? Anyone has tips for me ?? I need to know my 40k will be well invested. I don’t get financial aid so I’m paying out of pocket. Any and all advice is welcomed please !

    • @morganashley3420
      @morganashley3420  3 роки тому +2

      Hi your welcome ! Goodluck on your journey ! Science is hard but as long as you put aside enough time to study you got this ! Yes anatomy is challenging because it's a lot to memorize but good time management will help you ! Try to study daily and keep up with everything because then the work piles up and becomes overwhelming. Wishing you all the best

    This may be a silly question to ask but is it okay to apply to multiple programs ? I’m just starting prerequisites at mdc and would love to end up there but just in case I don’t get accepted is it okay to apply to other programs in Florida ?

    • @mrsjrenae4738
      @mrsjrenae4738 3 роки тому +2

      Absolutely and you should. I am finishing up my last prereq for sonography, but I picked up an extra class that I don't need for sonography that's required for Xray Tech. I plan to apply for Echo, Diagnostic (aka General), and Xray Tech. Although I really want to be a sonographer, I can't afford to waste a year by not getting in.

    Weird question but I’m very afraid of vomit (I’m emetaphobic) so have you ever had women throw up from morning sickness during an ultrasound? If so how often does it happen?

    • @jadevictoria6470
      @jadevictoria6470 3 роки тому +1

      Hi I use to work in the dental field, basically when you work in the medical field with patients you do run the risk of vomit I have been vomited on or around a patient who has, I use to have an irrotational fear myself however I eventually become desensitized it won’t be nearly has bad as you think it is and it’s rare.

    Hello, pls is it possible to get into a sonographer program with an associate degree in nursing or what do I need to do. Because I wanted to get my rn then get into neonatal nursing but I am considering changing.

    • @morganashley3420
      @morganashley3420  3 роки тому

      Hey you can get in the program as long as you have taken the required prerequisite courses for the program of your choice. Most likely you have them already since you have a nursing degree. Courses like anatomy 1 and 2 with lab, college algebra, physics etc, are what most programs require for acceptance.

    hi Morgan, thank you so much for this video! I hope you can see this comment . I am a mature student going back to school, so last time I took any high school course was over 10 years ago. the school I'm applying for has a profession specific aptitude test to test knowledge on science, math and career . I have about 2 weeks to prep.
    since I have very limited time, but still want to do well on the test. I have some questions on the specific topics from your perspective that I should prepare for. eg. Math applicable to sonography, physics , chemistry subjects, like anything essential to know etc. that I should prep.

    • @morganashley3420
      @morganashley3420  4 роки тому

      Hi Susan! During sonography school we don't have a specific math course and the physics is ultrasound physics of the machine which is different from general physics. I'm not familiar with the test you have to take but I'm guessing they would test you on general math like college algebra and general physics if anything. There is also no chemistry in ultrasound just a lot of anatomy so maybe you could review that along with basic college math and physics. I would ask your school the content of the exam for sure so you can have a better idea of what they are testing you on. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out and i'll help with what I can ! Goodluck on your exam!
