    Great videos Brooke!! I just finished my first quarter for my sonography program. It was very overwhelming and next quarter we start scanning!

    The housing market is INSANE right now. We got lucky and bought our house in 2020 right before everything went to hell haha. You will definitely find something that you and your fiancee love, no need to settle right now. I know it's difficult to hear but we had been looking for over a year and this house just fell into our lap (kind of) and we just knew it was right for us. Never feel pressured by anyone and trust your gut!! Best of luck though with looking, it's a tough market right now but things will hopefully turn around soon!

    Do you have any study tips for x-ray school? I’ve never been a great studier and I’m worried about the big jump in the need to study

      I always hand wrote my notes I found I retained the information more that way and I really found it helpful after studying my notes to make questions from them that I could see be on the test or that I need to study more because I don’t understand it yet. Then I would give those questions to someone to ask me and see what I really could recall without looking at it. It makes a big difference when you have someone else ask you. Hope that helps! ❤️

    Hi, currently a student deciding which path to take (rad tech vs. dms) my original plan has been sonography but I wanted to know your personal opinion on the differences between the two and if you have any insight that might not be as well known.

      Also regarding difference in job opportunities within both careers, school, and also overall job satisfaction for both!

      Hey great question! I have some videos on my channel about why I went from X-ray to ultrasound and the pros and cons of ultrasound that might really help you decide 😊 also a great idea to do both like me

    Hello, did you put your notes in quizlet when you were in X-ray school? If so, what’s your username? I’m in my summer clinical rotation and could definitely use some study material.

      I used other people’s quizlets in X-ray school I just searched the topic we were going over and found a lot to use. Hope this helps!

    Hi! If you don’t mind, what school are you attending that only requires 14 months of schooling?

      I don’t feel comfortable disclosing this information but I do go to a community college certificate program because I have already received my Associates in Radiologic technology so I can sit for all my RDMS boards.

    what is a comp?

    • @brooke_pedssono
      @brooke_pedssono  2 роки тому +3

      That is a great question, thanks for asking! A comp is a competency. In my ultrasound program we have to perform 30 different types of exams on our own on a patient and have a Sonographer check it and sign off on it saying we did a good job that’s a competency. It says we feel competent enough on our own to do those types of exams! 😊

    Hi, what is the schooling/program needed to be a medical sonographer?

    • @brooke_pedssono
      @brooke_pedssono  2 роки тому

      There are associates programs so two years usually with a year of prerequisites before that. There is also bachelors program which is four years. Then there is certificate programs after you go through another allied health program like X-ray which is what I did. There is no pay difference which ever route you take. I have a video up on my channel explaining this further, hope this helps 😊
