Straight to the point with a big smile,
this man needs an Oscar for the "How to" video category
a very likable guy
Short and effective, it would be nice to see more in the channel :PPPP
definetely agree man
Couldn't agree more, more more more....ufts ufts ufts ufts
Man he’s a funny character, the way he jams to any bass line is just comedy!
His face at the end when the full track plays is everything. This man truly loves what he does and it shows in his music.

I just heard of him a couple months back his vibe during a set in Tulum was really cool to see. Watching this video you can see the love which is how amazing music is made.
This is how every single "How to make this sound" video is supposed to be like! Thank you so much, love the track!
Yeah thats the technique for that sound, but when all these newbies try it out, its not gonna have the same THICC ass sound as his, and sounds so smooth with the percussion, kciks, side chain... SOO people are gonna have 800 million more questions, so then thats when he makes the longer tutorials, THEN it turns into all those other videos that you hate lol.
exactly no talking for 5 minutes about some bs nobody cares about or asking for likes
@Julius Braydon scammers and spammers
EXACTLY - straight to the point, enough detail, bish bash bosh.
Yes! Finally a tutorial video that gets straight to the point. Please make more like this. Would love see stuff on laying down some drum grooves. Keep up the great work.
will do that for sure! making one on how to overall make tech house right now :)
John Summit Perfect! 👌🏻
1 min and 42 seconds and straight to the point... this is the kind of tutorials we need.
Keep it up man!!
I was looking for a tutorial for rolling basslines after listening some John Summit songs, i wasn't expecting to learn from the man himself hahahaha
Look at this guy doing tutorials 3 years ago, now he's at the top, it's good to see his humble beginnings, keep working folks!
50% straight to the point information, 50% vibes. Perfect!
Comes out with nothing but heaters. Guy is legit the best producer in the past few years. No question.
Here's a guy who shows pure love for the music...keep it up dude, hopefully see you in Mykonos soon!
Thank you for forgetting to drag this one out to 10 minutes. Awesome content!
he didn’t forget, he just didn’t want to waste our time (:
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEE THIS MAN AND IJUST LOVED HIM
thats the shortest and most informative video ive seen on youtube,
Holy shit. I can't believe I just found these. I would seriously love to see more of these tutorials. They're quick, fun, and very informative. John Summit, FTW.
positive energy and straight the point! this is how I wish everything was on youtube.. thanks man! cant wait to see you at Seismic in a few weeks 🕺🏼
i love how happy he is during the whole video. wholesome banger
Its really nice to see that your work got recognized in the last years and you reached your goals, i cannot lie that you inspiring me of try again
So much joy in what he does, this guy could really go somewhere with this...
John giving back to the people 🙏
I thought it was just a video for joke but it actually was a tutorial....damm getting straight to the point that's really nice
Most chill tutorial I've seen to this day
fr
I can't believe I have been messing around with Ableton for about a year now and never stumbled across this great tip. Thanks for sharing!!
This guy has a bit of an effortless swagger to him, love the track too
I want him bad
youre a legend for this! would love to see how you process your basses and other sounds too!
And now I am going to see him at MSG this Saturday. Mind blowing!!!
Learning how to make a rolling bassline in 2024. ✍🏼👀 Thank You Mr.Summit 🫡
it´s simply the best! way i ever saw someone is making a bass! so quick but i´m still impressed! thx man, i really appreciate your idea the way you pitch the end of the long bass tone for more expression. Sounds like the groove is getting alive and become way more enjoyable.
I love how much you love the tunes you're making! It's all about that kick & bass :)
started off with coffee and then finished with a drink; that's a real producer vibe
Great Tip. I figured the best way to say thank you was to buy your track on Beatport.I'll be playing it in my sets
thank you so much! :)
This is gold. now that you're big, will we never see more?
let me hug you dude, you can have this 1 minute and 41 seconds of my life any time!
Dude thank you! A lot of these other guys just ramble. But this is straight to the point!
Dank you very much good sir!
Probably the best 1.37 minutes invested of my life.
Starts the video with coffee mug and ends with a miller lite lol.
Thanks for the vid John!
hahahahaha i didnt notice this. thats great.
Damnnnnnn thank you, I was actually wondering how you did it just yesterday! I like to work in Fruity Loops
Great, quick and simple, Thank you bro.
Came back to this vid because I wanted to show my friend how you do rolling baselines, just noticed you look absolutely blasted 😂😂
I feel like hes physically flexing during the intro, while doing a good job of hiding the fact that he is in fact flexing for his intro
🤣
Short and sweet. Plus that smile ties it all together!
THANK YOU! This Bassline sounds so good! Someday I'll give you this favor back, promise!
Honestly this concept is so simple, I just didn’t know how to do it natively in Ableton. Thanks for showing this!
You should include that you added 2000 because it’s twin semitones if I’m not mistaken. And that would follow the scale. Can’t tell rookies to just add whatever cuz they’ll add 4500 and it would never hit the key they need lol. You’re a funny guy thought and glad to see you succeeding!!
Oh shit it’s John Summit!! Sick vid
Please return back to this era one day. We could all use more techniques to keep as tools. Think of it as making more john summit babies. :)
Super simple & effective. Keep em coming pls sir!
will do!
Cheers for the tutorial man what made it super great was the fact your own track made u smile 😂
"Basic EQing" Has five EQs All jokes aside thank you for the video these are really helpful.
Quick and to the point. I love it! Thanks man
thanks no problem!
you deserve all your success papi great vid
yeah like how you love doing it
i probably start with making music too. Long time music enthusiast here
Been trying to figure this out for a while! Thanks.
You are cool. I like this take on the notion of a rolling baseline. Super chill. Thank you for posting.
thanks man actually i'm trying do to tech house like you i loved your track AfterHours ! Keep going !
Wow bro. Your content is actually super great. Love how short it is and straight to the fckn point. Subbed.
Really not my type of music but seeing him vibe to it makes me so happy for some reason haha
You seem very happy. It's unsettling. Stop it.
: )
This was nice. A very nice starting point. Thank you.
More vids. Love the straight to the point approach.
Absolutely brilliant! You come across as a really passionate guy. i have referenced this vid a few times now. Awesome
just the fact you are making these tuts for the fans is incredible. keep up the great work brother
Nice! 1:42 and that was the best tip ever!
who knew from tutorial master to BENDERS OF THE YEAR! in the year 2023!
Straight to the point, thank you
I loved how easy and fast he explained it, instant subbed.
I'd love to see a video on your bass processing! I'm curious as to why there's so much EQ'ing (with multiple EQ8's, Pro Q's and an Autofilter), and a limiter at the beginning of the chain. Great tip with the pitch bend btw
i'll do that one in a couple weeks! doing overall tech house tutorial next. i honestly overdid it with the eq's i just kept hearing this resonance freq and instead of subtracting more on one eq i just kept adding new ones lol
@@JohnSummit Would appreciate a tutorial on the processing as well!
It shows you don’t need a fancy and expensive studio to make cool music 😁 BTW cool set at tommorowland!
Ultra concise video! Any tutorials on making short and punchy kicks that actually work?
Best tutorial I’ve ever seen
Subscribed! Keep the videos coming bro can already tell your channel is going to blow up!
Can't believe he actually explained it in under 2 minutes... GG
short and simple advice . bloody good
Did some basic eq and saturation
Shows us 100 different settings on the baseline
Great to see you enjoying your end product
You're 2 videos are awesome. Super simple, super quick to the point and really informative. Please make more.
Under 2 minutes. Real good stuff.
Love your confidence here - have a great 2024
This is dope bro, more of these please!
Keep making vids! This is the second one I watched, and although I actually learned how to pitch bend last week I still think your videos are quick, clear, and informative! Cheers!
such a nice short video! thank you!
You are a legend!love the new track in chicago 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Excellent !! Just what I wanted. Like your presentation style too.
that's a weird looking Claw your drinking there :) and yes, make more videos please. always excited when you drop another one, I think I might actually be making decent music now.
I've just got one word for this, Absolutely Superb !
That’s two words.....😜. This kid is on his way to the top !
Brilliantly simple demo and explanation. Very cool. Thanks
love short tutorial videos, and of course your music lol, thanks man
I'm thumbs-upping it and subscribing just because you didn't spend half the video telling me to like and subscribe. I can't believe somebody made a "How To" video under 2 min. Every other talking head video has a 1 min. intro, a 2 min. sponsor read, another 2 min. of totally superfluous B-roll, and then closes with 30 sec. of "Like and subscribe" and "Tell me what you think in the comments!"
loving the videos and your vibe John. Thank you.
I love your videos John..... WE WANT MOREEEEEEE !!!!!! And don´t forget to dance.... AMAZING BROTHER..
Thank you for sharing friend, great producer and DJ...
a question
what is the name of the song
gangsta ass John Summit!!!!!
Nice trick with the pitch. There is also a How To Make Tech House Percussion video, I will check it out now!
Great video! Nice tip on using pitch bend and automation.
Absolutely loving these videos bro!
The best to ever do it
Quick to the point! Learning so much my guy!
You lowkey look like the speedrun guy meme lmao. Nice video man!
so simple, so sick
This channel will grow quickly. Subscribed!
Great spirit, fun, fast and to the point! Keep on rollin ....
Yeah bro it's almost like we're just kicking it. Perfect videos!
