I was playing this game due to having a day off from college with the radio on in the background when reports of a "light aircraft" had accidentally hit the world trade centre. 10 minutes later I turned Worms Armageddon off and actually witnessed real life Armageddon on the TV.
@@ppgranja3 I know the question is years old. But still Worms World Party is on ps1 the better game, due wormpot and and 'For Fun' (on PC named Total/Full Wormage) scheme which unlocks all weapons. On Worms Armageddon ps1 you need to play all missions in gold, training in gold and Deathmatch elite rank to unlock the secret scheme 7 (which includes all weapons, much like For Fun scheme in WWP PS1) in ps1 version. I have both games on PC and PlayStation. The ps1 version of Worms World Party is a upgraded version of Worms Armageddon. So yes, on ps1 WWP is better game, but Worms Armageddon has better/harder campaign. It depends what you like more. Multiplayer is better on WWP Ps1. Singleplayer is on WA PS1 more interesting. But still WWP has also awesome singleplayer content such as time attack or new training modes.
@@triborn217 rik mayall was a big reason why hogs of war was so good his voices were hilarious, "Saucetralasia a collection of islands on the south pig-cific" lol.
@@RetroDeathReviews666 Sure. Without Worms 2 (1997) there would be no Worms Armageddon nor Worms World Party. The second generation games (W2, WA. and WWP) are the definitive games of the entire Worms series. The second generation games of Worms is timeless, and is still the best in the entire series. Honestly, I think we never get a better Worms game If they (TEAM17) not base a new Worms game on either WWP or WA.
You're right about that it does seem more hi-def as you say but he's using a video plugin for some psx emulator that softens it. I'd give it a cartoon shader as well to give the characters and level black outlines.:-)
worms armageddon is truly a great game, i usually hate any game that has turn based gameplay such as rpg's but for some reason i think worms armageddon is excellent, maybe it is the humor, cool weapons and slick gameplay but it only seems to be the one game that i like with turn based gameplay strange i know.
FYI there are a couple of voices that are left out of the steam version due to censoring, but getting these back is as simple as searching for the files. None of those are mentioned in the video though.
I got used to this version so i didn't realize how downgraded this was from PC, but now that im playing PC version again jeez this looks a bit ugly. I still love the game, countless hours of fun
Well first of all, they both go for pretty cheap on Ebay, i live in the UK and this only cost me 99p to buy on Ebay, maybe the party world would be at a similar price so it's very cheap (unlike other PS1 games) i'd suggest grabbing both to see which is better as it's very affordable for anyone.
Haha same! I've collected so many, especially the ones from my childhood, my mum keeps having a go at me for buying so much, everytime the postman comes he has loads of parcels for us.
Same for Dreamcast, at least with Worms 2 on PC the AI only took a few seconds to take their turn (which released years earlier) and it even had internet play with chat & lobbies built into the game.

Is Armageddon better than World Party (PS1)?
@@ppgranja3 is it? I grow uo with World party
What an interesting fact

The nostalgia
Hands down, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party are best Worms games of all time.
No debate.
Amen!
Nah. This one and Worms Forts Under Siege.
Worms 2 tho
Although Armageddon is just another better version of 2 basically

Its your opinion. For me 4 mayhem its much better.
Hard to believe that I got by on this for so many years before I even knew a PC version existed lol
It feels so weird with the low quality sounds and the high quality music
this game
I could swear the game isnt this hi-def haha! Do you use composite cables?

I think you mean component cables. Composite is the original low resolution RCA.
Anyways, this video must be recorded from emulator.

These games are so fun, kids today would never appreciate it though...
Very true and even less likley to appreciate the first 1995 DOS Worms which was miles better then anything like it.
Kakarot lies me like worms and fidget spinners
This is one of my all time favorites, and I am actually playing this with my 8-year-old kid. So at least one is appreciating :D
does anybody know a place that i can play this specific version online?
eBay
Does the steam version have those specific voices as an option?
yeah. it's called stiff upper lip

Já joguei muito esse jogo
Alguien sabe como se mueve la camara?? Does anyone know how to move the camera?
Con cuadrado y las flechas al mismo tiempo
If you have a controller with analog sticks, I you can use the right stick to look around.

Should I pay 34 bucks for this game ? Is it even worth investing in , thats just the local stores price for it now . God knows how much it was new
No DualShock?
Dualshock works on this, you can use second stick to scroll camera

I got Party World for only $7 bucks. Totally worth it!
Ah awesome good price, did you also grab this one? May as well have both to collect.
Kakarot not yet, but eventually I will. I love collecting PS1 games.

Compared to the N64 the computer take way too long to take action, it's kinda really annoying.
