It would appear that you could start the car but if you left your wiper switch on they'll make contact with the hood. I think i'm just going to carry a piece of cardboard to put under the drivers wiper lol.

Wished I looked up a video before trying to force the driver side wiper up. There’s now a 3cm scratch on the lip of the hood lol

The owner's manual I downloaded for the 2021 camry does not say anything about this. That's probably why they had to make this video.
