When you say shallow water/ really shallow water. How many ft? I'll be in about 3ft water tomorrow trying to figure out if I need a weedless 1/8 oz or a weedless football 1/4
Just ordered some Power Prawns original and juniors with the Hoss 3/0 and 4/0 weighted hooks. Do you use a fluorocarbon leader, or just the 10 lb braid? I've been fishing the creeks here in New Smyrna and there are Blues and Jack's mixed in with Reds. I was just wondering if a 25lb leader would take away the action from the Power Prawn. Thanks for any advice.
I am fairly local (Within an hour) I would love to go out with you all and learn in person. I am somewhat new, and just don't seem to be doing something right. Love all your videos, and advice. I am not going to stop trying or learning, it's too much fun to stop.

I’m quite disappointed with the lack of sea grass (what I mean is turtle-grass, like in this video) here in (northern) Charlotte Harbor. I’ll keep looking but the grasses that are prevalent here aren’t the kinds I was hoping for. Back to the Google to try and isolate some potholes. Good advice as always, thanks.
It's impossible to not lose some fish every once in a while. I was inspecting the line to see if it frayed my leader with its rough mouth when it shook its head... I was using just a 20 lb leader line, so I am always checking to make sure it isn't compromised to make sure I don't lose a big fish to the line failing.
Really like your videos. This prawn would swim tail side forward, so swimming backwards, no? I am just wanting to make sure I understand the presentation using shrimp and their fidelity to swimming naturally. Thanks!
Thanks Mark! A shrimp swims in a forward motion, but they dart away going backwards so shrimp lures can be rigged either way. Most strikes happen after the twitches as the shrimp is gliding back to the bottom, so that's the best time to make sure it's looking as natural as possible... given that, it's generally best to rig shrimp lures from the front.
Are redfish really so threatened in the Indian River Lagoon...that they are worthy of catch-and-release only? Not arguing the point...asking those who know the area.
@@Saltstrong im using daiwa silvercreek seatrout 10' with ardent gliss monotex 0.004 8lb test. And daiwa morethan pe1000 tw2019 and lures 10-25gram spoons. ( I only use those lures for test distance)

@@cindylougranada404 Yes, that's ok to use.
nice seeing this bait and combo in action. Such chunky reds on that light tackle? Nicely done!
Thanks!
Good stuff, the insider club really does provide us with the ultimate information for everyone.
Thanks for making time to post the nice comment!
Got my PP’s and Hoss this week. Putting them to work in the morning!
Nice!!
love fishing the jetty can't wait to go back.great video
Great video of a super looking lure. I can't wait to try 'em. What are those shoes you are wearing?
Thanks Chris! Those shoes are Xtra Tuf waterproof boots... I really like them for cold weather fishing.
Nice demo, thanks
Thanks for watching!

What about drifting with the Power Prawn? I know the boat drifting over the flats will spook fish before the lure drifts over, but effective?

Definitely use leader and try to go as light as possible. 15-20lb leader will work for inshore saltwater fishing.
Thank you for the advice.

Were you using the trolling motor in shallow water? Seems like a good place to use power poles(shallow water anchors).

I noticed you inspecting that power prawn closely after you lost that snook...did you not get a good hook set?

Maybe not, but we always try to practice catch and release!
I couldn’t tell, are you using the loop knot with this lure?
Yes, I use the non-slip loop knot when fishing this and most other lures.
snook frey that so easily tho
Hey i think you should compare ardent gliss to power pro this line is so good it casts easily over 250ft its so good best line i ever had period.
A 250 ft cast is very far! What rod, reel, and lure are you using for that kind of distance?
