I was shocked to see how reasonably priced the Galen leather goods are. I've been wandering through the website and want everything. The capped glass pen is a great idea. Thank you for reminding me that I need a good document ink, and that it should not be put into a pen that can not be easily cleaned. The Totoro stamp is in my cart at Jetpens. (It's one of my favorite movies - the original US dub.)
You don't need to use archival inks with stamps. You can use pigment inks or even versamark (it's basically glycerin) and quickly cover that with embossing powder and hit it with a heat gun. It makes a lovely raised image that resists the ink.

Galen Leather products are AMAZING! I love every single item I have from them.
I recommend waterproof ink because it is faster and you don't need anything extra like embossing supplies. I haven't had good luck mixing pigment ink and fountain pen ink in the past but using versamark and embossing would work as long as you are ok with the signs being more raised in your notebook.
