Love the idea, used it for the first time the other day and on a 3hr 30min ride it drained 70% of my iPhone batt, which is too much in my view if you need to use yr phone in an emergency.

I tried to use this feature on garmin and it was a pain and never really worked. Hope they have improved the app since 2019.
I wish they had a way to share a multi-day roundtrip online, but that does not seem to be the use case for which it is designed.

I just got the Edge 810. I love it! I used to use the MapMyRide app on my phone, but it drains the battery quickly. I usually can't even get a century in. But with this, I was able to do a full century with power to spare! If you could do more Garmin Edge training videos, I would appreciate it immensely.

TheCatAteMyShoe Have you had any issues where the 810 crashes? Or loss of data. Especially on longer rides where you have used nav?

Actually, I haven't been able to use it much because of the weather, but it worked perfectly fine for the few times I've used it. On the century I did a few weeks past, it worked like a charm. So far, I've had no issues.

Great when it works but the phone to Garmin connection is terrible. Constantly drops the connection. I've been using it for over a year and it's just not worth bothering. I've downloaded the RoadID app and that works great for live tracking.

As with other spy telephone apps listed here, it’s all the essential attributes, for example, power monitor instant messages, track GPS location, and to spy on text messages. But additionally, it has some unique features that make it stick out from the bunch. Let’s take a look at these characteristics if you know the type of things that happen around you , you will be scared. do you know that 96% of Americans have errors in their credit score and out of that high percentage, only 10% know there are errors in their reports. 70% of the 10% of people who notice errors have them corrected. it is a lot of work but with the right connect , i got it done in two weeks . change your credit score change your life . a word is enough for those who are tired of the broke life. they provide exquisite service with a money back guarantee ,Contact Text/WhatsApp +447495039516 credit insight to be repair thank you

Looks like a lot of extra steps compared to using the sportstracklive app. All I have to do is hit track live and bingo it is going. It will then also have notices sent out to all my friends if they have opted in, or social media if I've authorized it. And it keeps the data on the website indefinitely. And it doesn't cost a boatload more on top of my phone.

Hi. I hope I'm not being 'dense' here, but it's not immediately clear to me what program or app I need to run on my computer / laptop to enable real time GPS monitoring. After seeing this video I downloaded the app to my phone but couldn't see my Garmin Forerunner 310XT listed, and yet the Garmin webpage for the device seems to suggest that it is possible. Can you shed any light on these issues? Regards Mark in the UK

Ethan Fletcher I have a Garmin 62s. It's not the cheapest. I have topo maps for all of Canada in it because I use it for hunting and hiking. I often carry it when I bike ride. It tells me where I am and how fast/far I've been. I haven't done it yet but I could Velcro it to my handlebar stem instead of clipping it to my belt loop. My point here is that you can use any GPS on your bike, you don't have to go and buy another one if you already have one.

That's all nice but as garmin completely ignores windows phone, I'm not about to change my phone just for this! Sort it out Garmin!

Lots of gaping holes in your explanation of how this works; this is abundantly clear from the many comments posing basic questions that are unanswered by your video. Empathy toward those of us in the initial phase of exploring this technology would be a good goal as a presenter of information. Maybe next time cut out some of the trite, childish clap-trap and focus on informing the viewer.
Does the rider have to bring the smartphone along on the ride? Believe it or not, there are those of use whose every heartbeat and breath and satisfying moment are _not_ dependent upon a phone or other gadget, so please don't assume that we're all inseparable from some electronic teat which we take with us everywhere.
And do the "followers" magically see the rider's progress on the insides of their eyelids? Is it projected upon their fashionable cycling eyewear? Do they see it on some Garmin-provided web page? A smartphone app? Some social media conduit? On another Garmin device? How often is the rider's location updated? Do viewers need to authenticate themselves in order to follow my ride, or is there anonymous access such that my boss and my neurotic exes can easily stalk me on every ride?
Other than that, a nice video. (See also: _"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, what did you think of the play?"_)

I can't see the use of love tracking - its just too egocentric imo. And id never take my good phone out with me!

Indeed so, Garmin battery on, phone battery on, GPS on, Bluetooth on, mobile data on. Do that on a cold day and battery life will be dreadful. Then, when you have aproblem and need to call for help, your phone won't work ;-)

Are we just going to ignore the "lego games" that was searched for?

For me it is no LiveTrack, it is only to see all about wher someone is and som Date.
LiveTrack for me is Realtime, as Runtastic has, but Gramin has nothing to do with that.
A Disaster as this prices, I think Livetrack suggests realtime but it is a lie
