+Robert Remijnse I use the rod grace gs2 # 6 with lightweight handle, and this is exactly what me need. Most coils for 6th grade weight 140-170gr shift the balance point from the middle of the handle to the point of contact with the blank. So in the our Belarusian rivers do not need a large supply of backing, so maybe the reason is that I do not reel up more than 50 meters. Thanks for the comment.
redshaftedflicker Sth reels invented, manufactured and patented the cassette system for fly reels. They also manufactured the reel with turbine brake, awarded in Denver-USA. As good Englishmen always copying everything. Pirates
Fly Fishing SD hi i have a 7 weight rod and got a 7,8,9 weight reel but when i cast the reel keeps winding up the line with ease how do i prevent this from happening i tried adjusting the tension but all it did was tighten the drag system and not the retreive do you have any idea how to help Thanks Jay
Very cool reel. The best cassette flyreel for this pricerange. One disadvantage it is quite big and heavy.

The STH reels manufactured in Argentina invented the cassette system.
They did and they sucked badly. A medalist with extra spools trumps the junk.

I have 7wt rod. I'm getting this reel. should I get the 5/6/7 or the 7/8/9?
Rory Atkinson This is individual, it is more convenient for me to catch with a large drum. Therefore, I would take 7/8/9
