    Very comprehensive and easy to follow review! Great comparison of the faux leather and the goatskin! Please, go easy on those folks who like having the Apocrypha in their bible; it is neither wrong nor right - just a preference.

      @@TheKJVStore 13:15 so, the 1920 KJB Cambridge Cameo does "not" have the Apocrypha in it? I know it's not Scripture, and even the 1611 that included it did not believe it was Scripture. But I was under the impression that the Cambridge Cameo included the Apocrypha in an uninspired section like the 1611 & Luther's German translation did. Or I am thinking of something else? If I am in error here, can you clarify what I might be thinking of? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks & God bless!

    A fully loaded Bible even for its size.

    if i order this Bible from the link in your description will it come with “Holy Bible” printed on the front as seen in the video?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  Рік тому +1

      Yes, we believe the Goatskin Edition (the one on the right) still says Holy Bible on the front cover:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-cameo-reference-bible-cambridge/
      It's the Imitation Leather Edition (on the left) that does not. God Bless.

    Is it correct that KJV Cameo has printed more clearer (more crisp in font) than KJV Large Print?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your question. We don't know that the KJV Cameo Reference Bible from Cambridge has a "clearer" font than their KJV Large Print edition, but the font of the Cameo is indeed very clear, and mostly importantly, very BOLD on the page as you see in the video:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-cameo-reference-bible-cambridge/
      We would say that it is likely the most size "8 point font" of any KJV Bible in existence. It is one of the best options if you are looking for readability and portability (a nice, medium to small carrying size). We hope this helps and God Bless.

    For Cameo (goatskin) and Cameo (Imitation Leather), are their paper-quality the same, or one is better than the other?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  3 роки тому +2

      The paper quality, to our knowledge, is actually the same. The Goatskin edition is just more decorative with gilded edges. We cannot imagine that Cambridge would do two separate print runs for this same bible, and the quality does appear to be the same in both editions. We hope this resonse is helpful. Blessings.

    “...and is edge-lined with Imitation Leather (as only the best bible publishers in the world still do).”
    Er, no. The best bible publishers in the world still use a REAL LEATHER LINER.
    I think it’s misleading to quote that on your site

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  5 років тому +2

      Dear James, what bible publishers and specific bibles are those exactly that you know of and that we apparently don't? If you do some fact checking, you'll find that virtually all of the premium leather bible companies in the world primarily use Imitation Leather for the LINING of the bible. It has nothing to do with the outside cover. This is talking about the LINING on the inside cover of the bible. Imitation Leather is better than cardboard, end paper, etc... Cambridge, R.L. Allan, Schuyler, and yes, The KJV Store all do this. Find us a bible currently in print by any "premium leather" bible publisher that is fully leather lined, even on the inside lining, and then maybe we can have a conversation. Even if you find one ultra-premium edition from anyone, it will be rare and harder to find than you apparently think. There is nothing misleading about saying exactly what the lining is or is not made of.
      We say everywhere that it's Imitation Leather lined, both in our videos and on the product descriptions of our website. It's not misleading to say exactly what something is or is not, which we do every time. Thanks.

    • @jamesmackenzie1336
      @jamesmackenzie1336 5 років тому +1

      The Cambridge Turquoise has a leather LINER.
      Let’s have a conversation now.

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  5 років тому +2

      You provided one of the rare examples, thank you. And notice it's a CAMBRIDGE Bible. The same publisher that makes this KJV Cameo Reference Bible that you are commenting on. So you proved our point that "one of the best bible publishers in the world" (Cambridge) does BOTH, Imitation Leather and Real Leather Linings on some of their bibles. They go back and forth depending on the edition, the type of cover used, and typically, the overall price tag.
      To further prove the point, only the Goatskin Leather edition of the Cambridge Turquoise that retails for $310.00 has a leather lining, yes. But their Split Calfskin Leather option for $210.00 uses an Imitation Leather lining:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-bibles/premium-leather/cambridge/kjv-turquoise-reference-bible-cambridge.html
      R.L. Allan and Schuyler use Imitation Leather Linings on SOME of their bibles as well. NONE of these publishers use real genuine leather linings on ALL editions of their bibles (even if they do on some). And Imitation Leather lined is still better than End Paper, Cardboard, etc... this is the entire point and will be our final response on the matter. Thanks.

    What does the "1159" in the "Clarendon 1159" mean?

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  3 роки тому +1

      I'm sorry but we don't understand the question. Can you tell us where you are seeing "Clarendon 1159"? This video is for the KJV Cameo Reference Bible, and Cambridge does not make a "Clarendon" text. The Clarendon is an Oxford text, primarily used by R.L. Allan now. Thanks.

    • @ymshao
      @ymshao 3 роки тому +1

      @@TheKJVStore You can find the "Clarendon 1159" on the page in the Cambridge KJV Cameo Reference Bible where the Cambridge logo is (right before the Epistle Dedicatory).

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for your further explanation. It looks like it is referring to the type or "Font" Style used in the Cameo:
      - "Typeset in 8pt Petit Medieval Clarendon 1159" So "Petit Medieval Clarendon" is simply the name of the font or typeface (as opposed to "Times New Roman" or "Arial" that you might see in Microsoft Word, etc...) God Bless.

    Why in the world did you not include the Cambridge Cameo KJV w/Apochrypha version in your review? It is undeniably the best of the Cameo series. Tsk, tsk.

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  5 років тому +6

      #1, we did not receive such a sample from Cambridge.
      #2, we do not believe in the Apocrypha or that it should have ever been included in the original 1611 KJV in the first place:
      www.thekjvstore.com/f-a-q/#apocrypha
      #3, we do carry the Cameo w/Apocrypha version here:
      www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-cameo-reference-edition-with-apocrypha-cambridge.html
      But it is actually Out of Print at the moment. Perhaps a sign of it's popularity? Or rather, it's lack thereof? And more so a sign that the majority of our customers do not care for the Apocrypha or want it in their KJV Bible. Food for thought. God Bless.

    • @TheDustin49
      @TheDustin49 5 років тому +2

      As far as I'm concerned Guy Montag, every KJV Bible should include the Apocrypha because it clearly has evidence of Inspiration. Here's 3 examples of that prove that: 2 Esdras 1:4-5(And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Go thy way, and shew my people their sinful deeds, and their children their wickedness which they have done against me; that they may tell their children's children:), 2 Esdras 1:15-16(Thus saith the Almighty Lord, The quails were as a token to you; I gave you tents for your safeguard: nevertheless ye murmured there, And triumphed not in my name for the destruction of your enemies, but ever to this day do ye yet murmur.), and Baruch 2:21(Thus saith the Lord, Bow down your shoulders to serve the king of Babylon: so shall ye remain in the land that I gave unto your fathers.). Also, 1&2 Maccabees has crucial history that you must know to connect the end of the Old Testament to the beginning of the New Testament.

    Hi , I’m wondering if you folks offer the Goatskin Cameo with “Holy Bible” on the cover!? I’ve seen other reviews without it and Cambridge actually said they don’t make them like that at this time!

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  4 роки тому +1

      The Goatskin Leather edition DOES have Holy Bible on the cover. It is the bible "on the right" in the video and video thumbnail. You can see this on our website as well: www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-cameo-reference-bible.html
      It's the Imitation Leather edition that does not have Holy Bible on the cover. The Goatskin absolutely does. God Bless.

    Is it 28gsm

    • @TheKJVStore
      @TheKJVStore  4 роки тому +1

      The imitation leather edition has "India Paper". And the goatskin edition has "Bible Paper". Here is how Cambridge defines their paper: Paper of 30gsm or less in weight - ‘20lb paper' in the US - is usually described as ‘India paper’ and over 30gsm as ‘Bible paper’.
