I remember seeing some video (or maybe it was just photos in EGM?) of the guy who did Heat's breakdancing in one of those old mo-cap suits with ping-pong balls on it to track his articulation points. There was an ad in EGM that had a cut-out flip book of Heat break-dancing. That's what originally got me hyped to purchase the game.
There’s no reason this game hasn’t been made for modern day dances and beats. I appreciate the originality of the songs. So we wouldn’t necessarily need celebrities. But there’s a bunch of street dancers who could really help this be remade. I guess I just wanna relive my childhood as an adult lol

Kitty N’s song is such a banger. Probably the most catchiest. Also love Shortys, Fridas, Gas-O and Capoeira’s. Kelly’s is also surprisingly good outside of dancing to it. It was one of the harder ones I found.
I bought this game off eBay recently thinking it would be a bit of fun nostalgia and ended up 100% completing the entire game in about a week. It's so good and addictive not too challenging but just enough challenging I love it

I had and 1st played this game circa 2000. Man we had some fun times with this. Me and my friend would often sit head to head challenging each other. It would get so intense my heart would start beating fast in desperation of beating him. And the music tracks always stuck with me all these years. I'd always play Heat, and him Strike. I tried playing it a coupla weeks ago for nostalgic effect but can't seem to so well anymore. I'm not as sharp as I used to be pulling off those heart throbbing lengthy combos. I'm getting old, lol.
This game was brilliant in it's simplicity. I think it owed that to some of the most creative stupid songs ever written. I wish we were still making games like this, but today it's all first person shooters and kids calling me noob😁 I also love some of the disco parodies: I'm only 100% sure of one -- Hiro is John Travolta. The other is Pinky... I'm almost sure she's supposed to be Amii Stewart (Knock on Wood).
This game and parapa the rapper were my jams as a kid, i put so many hours into them, playing and replaying over and over. Honeatly theae games are probably what predisposed me to my current love for rhythm gacha games 😂
