We hit the day of at a Cafe in Sydney's Parramatta called Meraki Merchants, lebanese influence they serves nice and smooth blended coffee, something that we ordered there was the Sultan's Jaffle, not far from the cafe is Parramatta River, so its perfect if your a morning jog and looking for a cafe to fill you up right after.
Our second spots Temasek, arguably an institution here, if you are a local - you should know about this spot. Serving authentic Singaporean Food Style, or Malaysian Food they are a restaurant that is worth trying. We ordered the Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Nasi Lemak.
Lastly some Vietnamese Food at a Vietnamese Restaurant called Pasteur Pho for some of the best pho in Sydney - do order their rare beef pho noodle its incredible in umami flavour. The broth is light and clean, for those who enjoy a lighter beefy broth - this is a good spot for a quick Vietnamese fix.

Thank you Sabah🥺❤
Helmi's hair 👍 Sultan's Jaffle looks yum, need to try it!
Look at that chicken in the rice and chicken dish, it is shinning like a diamond...sooooo good looking
Oh yes... nasi lemak and chicken rice, very classic Malaysian & Singaporean dishes 😍
Same as Nick, we love wet version of beef rendang, Indo style 👍🏻😃
wow, so yummy food, great job!
yes! Helmis short hair looks great!
Thanks guys 🥰🥰
Ooh, the skin of the chicken looks really shinning. I can see how delicious it is 😍
Been saving this for when I am eating dinner wooo hoo so pumped. That breakfast toasted sandwich looks the bomb wooo the sausage looks like it has a lot of flavour and you are right helmi must have cheeese! Nick you going hard with the classics, chicken rice and nasi lemak can't go wrong with that. Love the glistening sheen on the chicken. If I could only choose one thing from this entire video... PHO!
Hahaha pho for life 🍜
Jaffle with sucuk 😍😍
Love the look and the sound of it!
Cheesy jaffle is always a good jaffle 👍🏻
Yesss😋
Thanks for this wonderful video.
Thanks Yasin 🥰
@@nickandhelmi 😁🇲🇾😁
You would have to so many videos to cover all the main places in Parramatta.
Yup i guess this will be series 😆
LOLOL!! Poor Helmi couldn't find Parramatta Square.. "Where the hell is it?" HAHAHAHA!!! Yes, we hope you check the area out another day. Butters loves how "transportation" friendly Sydney is in general, with all the trains, and buses!!
Rice is king! You know we didn't know the actual translation for Lemak before, glad we finally know!
Early dessert is always a plus. Beans on dessert would probably be an acquired taste for us since we're so use to savory beans. The Pho looks so good though. Add all the onions.
All the food looks so delicious😊
Awww how are you marissa☺
Love the decor in Mëraki Merchants. Oooo that Sultan's Jaffle looks delicious, looks perfect for breakfast. Awh man, did you say Hainanese chicken rice? Salivating, haven't have it for some time now. Look at that shiney coating on the chicken rice....~~~ Come back to Malaysia/Singapore for your chicken rice Nick~~~ 😆
So true! The nasi is the star of the nasi lemak. Sounds like it is nice and lemaky!
Haha yea
Yay! Nick & Helmie went to Parra!
Thanks Larry 🙌🏻😊
Damn this is kinda crazy. I was eating at temasek that day (sitting outside) and I saw you guys shooting this video while I was eating. Now YT is recommending me this video. Guess I shall sub - good vid 👌
Hahaha 🤣! Thanks ray
We would love to get some pho.
That is a great tip Nick to not get the meat overcooked. Loooove onions here too.
Good pro tip on the beef Nick, I'll have to start doing that going forward... between that and the beef rendang I know you're not steering us wrong (we prefer it your way too!). There's also certain dishes we never share too... some food is too damn delicious!
Dear Nick and Helmi, I love Pho, especially Pho Tai. Our favorite pho are from Pho An (Bankstown). Pho pasteur was my Father s favorite in sydney until we discovered Pho An 😁.
Our fave is Pho An in Bankstown too!!
Love the meatball beef pho! Yes separate the beef is a good idea!!
Some amazing spots to get food paramatta. My favorite was the chicken rice. Looked delicious!!
Thanks Chandy🥰
Omg the chicken rice and nasi lemak...my mouth is literally watering over my keyboard...
Yesss😉😉
Beautiful place enjoy watching your video stay connected
Love you guys! I'm in Parramatta some of my favs are Holy Basil, Destination roll at Church st make the best bread rolls, 317, Thai LaOng n Thai Riffic ❤
Thank youuu🥰🙌🏻 due for another episode soon hehehe
LOL i was next to you guys during the filming of Tamasek. Thanks for promoting Parramatta! 👍
Ohh hello Mike 😁 thanks for watching!!
Sucuk has so much flavor! 🤤
Yessss🤤🤤
OMG! chicken&rice! chicken&rice! chicken&rice! chicken&rice! chicken&rice! 😍😍😍
drooling right now
Yummm😋😋
the jaffle looks like some kind of chorizo sandwitch in Spain! nice!
Exactly like chorizo sandwich! So nice😋
i also love Chicken rice, especially during my first year in Singapore, looks like Indonesian nasi tim
Great video! I'll definitely try the sujok jaffle. Go to Swanky Noodles which is just up the road from Pho Pasteur. Highly recommend the XiBo style extra wide spicy noodles, BBQ lamb skewers and pea shoots. BL burgers make the best burgers and the laksa at Temasek is really good.
Thanks Mark :) - definitely noting those down!
Love sucuk! We have just tried something called Kumru and it is a freaking delicious sandwich made with sucuk and it is to die for.
The main difference between sucuk and chorizo is that one is pork and the other one isnt.
You don't like olives??? hahaha Lieles doesn't like olives either.
I'll eat them all, I can eat olives every day, all day!
yes Helmi we love your hair style
Thank you so much 🥰
Turkish sucuk for breakfast? This gets the Gokce seal of approval of course! 😉 Lol, practice makes perfect, can't wait to come back to Sydney for Helmi's Turkish Kitchen 😃
Brings back memories of when I was there years ago
Aww 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Temasek already looked good from being located down an alley. Sounds like Helmi knows her spots!
Yes she does haha 😂
Need to try the chicken laksa there
Yes, Laksa at Temasek next time you visit
@@chingly7994 agree😄 i suggested laksa but nick wanted nasi lemak lol😆
@@roscalub8183 yesss, agree🙂
That's a beautiful toast. Yes to the cheese! 🧀 Nick, you are missing out. 😂 Ufff, that chicken rice looks so juicy. Chickeny hahaa
13:20 ahh man that looks like a nice hug in a bowl right there 😍
Always good to see nasi lemak in cities outside Malaysia.
Can't go wrong with nasi lemak😋
@@nickandhelmi 😁🇲🇾😁
Haha I am the same as Helmi of how I eat pho. Add cut chilli, beansprout, basil, a bit of sauce, basically anything provided on the table for free I will add them to my bowl of pho 🤣🤣
The food looks yummy! Full watch and like from Palma de Mallorca
Chow
Dessert first, Puri agrees with Helmi. That looks so yummy! Omg that Pho~~~ I miss having Pho! I'm with Nick on semi-cooked beef. Oh yeah Helmi, throw in those chillis, let it float and burn Nick with those spice haha!!
Loll 🤣🤣
Just had nasi lemak last night! It was so good! We had $28usd for 2 nasi lemak in chicago
Kind of pricey hey 😅 similar like here too
Sorry guys it took us longer to watch this awesome video, we will be stationed for the next couple of weeks so we will fight for our first view spot! 😊🤣
Always appreciate a spot that doesn't skimp on portion... can tell how chickeny that chicken is... so, Nick, you would say it tastes like chicken? 😂
Would love to try it at the Singapore hawker stalls!
Omg that hianan chicken! So gooddd
Comfort food 😊
saucy jaffle with sujuk lollll "because I love sausage" hahahaha Helmi!! Oooooo hawker centre hainan chicken is the best. This one looks really well cooked. So true the chilli and sauce makes it really good. "a lot of freakin food" ahaha. 3 colour dessert is da bomb! Helmi you make Pho like how i do, it's so yummy like that. Parramatta sounds like an up and coming place, so much construction going on.
Hahaha🤣🤣
You just made me wanna eat nasi lamak after I'm just full from my sate Padang 😅 Thanks so much for fun and informative video.
Gosh i want sate padang!!
Helmi likes her chillies in the Pho just like I do🥰😋
Yesss🥰
Helmi, I agree with your Pho style 😊
You guys need to check out the Swanky Noodle restaurant, which is further down from the Pho place. It has some delicious beef noodles, dumplings and beef hotpot.
Helmi, I'm suprised you didn't go to Bay Vista for dessert (that would be your dessert dreamland).
Also, checkout John Belvederes for some great burgers.
Ohh Swanky noodle looks good! Ok got to try that in next episode, thanks Lena😁 I knoww right I actually wanted to go Bay Vista but we were so full 😭 Guess what we never try John Belvederes yet! I tried BL burgers before👍🏻
Last month I discovered those restaurants on Church St near Pho Pasteur. l’m going to try them all😁 We’ve eaten at 2 so far..
Hehehe we have so many places that are yet to try too!😄
I love Vietnamese eateries that offer the the coconut and pandan dessert drink. With pho, I like the bean sprouts cooked first if possible, the beef also love cooked, so I shake it out to make sure its even as the temperature of the soup drops quickly 😁 truly personal preference. Big win if there is Lots of mint. Mmmmm.
That's the beauty of having pho, no right and wrong just customise based on personal preference😊
Oh yes Pho!! LOL.. definitely need your own bowls
Fave Japanese place is Kanzo on George Street...there are stacks and stacks of places to eat in parra...church street has the vast majority of the restaurants. Parra square is definitely a lot more upmarket food wise but definitely happy that Rivareno gelato opened there!!
It is the best Japanese in Parramatta.
We walked pass Kanzo & ppl queueing 👀 so got to try that for sure :)
Hey Nick and Helmi!! So great to see you, and love that you're in Parramatta today! Butters stayed with friends in Parramatta before when she was in Australia back in 1999/2000. Helmi.. your hair looks so nice! OMG... That Sultan's Jaffo looked so delicious.. It's like a Pizza pocket. Temasek looked so cool, and the nasi lemak looked bomb and so did that chicken rice!! YUM!!
hehe, we're spicy lovers! 🔥 not spicy not good! 😋
Nasi Lemak!! I want it!
Semoga di permudahkan urusan you all tengah pergi vacition sydney
Try these places when you visit Parramatta next - Kanzo Sushi, Holy Basil, Butter :)
We walked pass Kanzo and saw a long queue during lunch, so keen to try next, thanks Teresa 🙌🏻 Holy Basil & Butter are def yes, we tried them in other branch yummm🤤
Pho Pasteur Parra is our go to Viet resto. Always good! 💕🥂
Yeayyy😋
Love that Pho! I probably have more Chilli....
Damnnn more chilli 💥🙌🏻
Mikazuki in parramatta has the best ramen. Soo good 🍜😍
Thanks so much courtney🙌🏻 adding it to the list to try🙂
long or short hair you're already cute 😋 chorizo, olive, and cheese! it sounds yummy 🤤
You two should try some South eastern European food. Zeko's in seven hills. Or fabrika in Canley vale
I second that with Fabrika 👌
Zeko comes up as "Mediterranean" ?
Thanks Chris 🙂🥰 we havent eat much eastern European food actually so thanks for recommendation 🙌🏻
Helmi cut her hair!!! Looking cute, cute, cute!
We know it wouldn't be a complete day without Helmi's dessert!! The Che Ba Mau was really unique looking, and you guys have so many amazing flavor profiles from the Asian countries nearby!! Love that coconut was the predominant flavor! We can understand not wanting the meat overcooked with the pho Nick!! We LOVE Hoisin sauce in our pho too!! Helmi's Pho looked great too!!She went nuts with the chili and sauce!! Helmi must like her soups really SOUPER spicy LOLOL! Great video guys and thanks for taking us with you!! Love you to the moon!! 💖😘🥰🌛
Fatty rice goodness 😋 I like how they have acar in there too, not conventional, but I like it with Nasi Lemak 😄
Wondering where your favourite pho is? We've tried a lot of places including Pho Pasteur and even drove all the way to An at Bankstown, but keep going back to Tan Viet. We're still on the search for other restaurants to try, though.
And oh, Nick, where did you say you like HCR the most again? Would like to go try that, too.
Wow Ros, we actually never try pho at Tan Viet😲 We always have the crispy chicken with dry noodle at Tan Viet haha😆 For pho we love An restaurant (order the meatballs) in Bankstown & Pho Tau Bay in Cabramatta. For HCR - Kopitiam Cafe in Ultimo - the best so far and only available weekend🥺
@@nickandhelmi I'm actually also a crispy chicken girl at Tan Viet 🤗, but husband and teenage son are pho-addicts. Will definitely give Kopitiam a go.
Btw, Helmi, have you tried Holy Basil's fried ice cream? Maybe something to get next time you're at Parramatta.
Yesss🥰 we always go to Holy Basil in City or Canley Heights and always got the fried ice cream 🤭
Woah I never knew Pho Pasteur was in Parramatta. I only knew it was in the city ❤😯
Yes! Parramatta one is so much better than City😄
They have been here for more than 20 years . Same decor and tables chairs 🪑👌
Hi...
Greetings from Singapore 😍😎
Hello 🙌🏻☺ thanks so much for watching! Hope we can visit SG soon 🥺
Alpha Sushi deserves a shout out! Do not sleep on this restaurant, good value and amazing food. And large sushi food for cheap!
Don't think you can sleep there anyway. Food only no accommodation.
@@juliuslean9667 Not sure if you're being serious or...?
Hahaha we love sushi, might sneak to sleep in there 🤣 thanks for the recommendation! We'll try it😁
@@nickandhelmi Yayy, glad u wanna check it out! It's a nice and quaint spot that is totally underrated in parra.
I mean if you guys all wanna sleep knock urself out haha. I wouldn't mind sleeping in sushi heaven tbh
Try Holy Basil! Such an institution in the west.
Hehe yesss Holy Basil needs to be featured, agree Lancy 🙌🏻 We normally go to Holy Basil in the City or Canley Heights 🤤
Great haircut Helmi, short hair don't care! ;)
What do you mean??? I love your short hair Helmi! You're so cute! 😍
Thanks guysss🥰🥰
Thai Town in Westfield Parramatta. Must try it.👍
Hey Michael, Thai Town or Holy Basil?😆
Nice haircut helmi!!! Nick needs the same haircut!
Hahaha🤭🤭
Temasek is the best. Holy Basil is good also. Worth checking out.
Yes Holy Basil🙌🏻 normally we go to City or Canley Heights one 🤤
@@nickandhelmi there is always so many people at Holy Basil Canley Heights . 12 Spices at Canley Heights (West) is my favourite Thai in this area
Last Saturday I had pho in Pasteur at Haymarket . I ordered a Large size combination pho , I was so disappointed when my pho arrived. With so little noodle , one beef ball cut in half , one small of tendon, one small strip of tripe , two thinly slices of feef and beef brisket .
Half way through my noodle, I overheard the lady sit at the table next to us complaints to the waiter about her order so small too .
Yep I don't recommend Pasteur in Haymarket. I had bad experiences too and never go back there :( But Parramatta one is okay. I don't know why Parramatta's one tastes better with decent size and somewhat feel cleaner 😆
Your video always makes me HUNGRY!! I have visited Parramatta many many years ago, actually looks change a lot!
It does!! We haven't visited for couple of months only and my goodness so much changes☺
It Ramadan may b you can do night market street food in lakemba. Try camel burger
We planned to visit the night market, but it got cancelled again, 2 yrs in a row 🥺
@@nickandhelmi thx for letting me know! Was thinking to check out
Helmi doesn’t play when it comes to the 🌶🌶🌶
Thankyou
Very chickeny hehe looks good though, I'd so order it!!
LOLll😆

Busy recording it for video 😂
