To us The Last Kingdom fans we love Osferth “Baby Monk” so much. His death was truly heartbreaking. But now it make sense because he needs to exit TLK to be able to do Aemond Targaryen. Yeahhh bravo Ewan Mitchell!

For us The Last Kingdom fans we know too well that Osferth “Baby Monk”’s death was done for shock value. He is one of the most loved characters in the fandom haha! But yeah, now he is playing AEMOND TARGARYEN. Two roles that are so opposite of each other! Uthred will be proud of him 🥹

1:10 notice how he says "nephews" BEFORE looking over at them...shows show he knew they were there the whole time. Creeped me out the first time I saw it! This subtlety makes Ewan the fantastic actor that he is.
He and Matt Smith excels in acting without saying anything. I just love it. The moment you said just truly solidifies his character as very perceptive and observant.

I was so pissed they dispatched his character like that in TLK without even giving him much to do in the last season overall. He is the natural son of Alfread the Great, in the name of Odin, he should have had a proper arc. However, now I feel compensated.
Exactly how I felt! Im like “WHYYYY!” when it happened. But now Im glad that more people are knowing about him.

Osferth has a much larger role in the books, he is one of the main characters after all. He's also more serious. I'm so mad that the show reduced him to a side & comedic relief character.
