As the title implies, I have changed up to a 240 volt brewing system. I unbox it in this video but will be demoing it and dialing it in soon enough! Cheers!
I love Clawhammers youtube channel. Were building a house after while so when I get my "nicer" brew room, I'll be upgrading my grainfather to a clawhammer as well!
@@TheBrewQ Yeah, I'm looking forward to your brewday too. I'm still on the fence between Clawhammer and the soon to be released Spike BIAB. Cheerz from Ottawa, Canada
Looks like it'll be a great system for ya. I've seen a couple others brewing on it and love it. Best of luck with the new rig and I can't wait to see it in action! Cheers!
HAHA I laughed pretty hard at the beginning where you hug the Grainfather goodbye! Well, at least it found a good home! Whoa that is SO heavy duty!! I sense the excitement! Can't wait for the assembly and the BREWING!
Hi James. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so excited. I’ve been looking at my next step upwards. The BrewZ65 and the GF70 don’t really do it for me. I really like that CH system and am looking forward to your next videos. That’s the perfect unit for your Brew Shack. I’m jealous. Robert .
Yeah, I have been VERY stoked about this upgrade! I liked the price of this system along with the ability to replace things if they break. I looked at the bigger Grainfather as well and for their price, I didn’t want to go that route. I love having the kettle separate from the electronics. I wanted to keep the simple footprint as well. Cheers, buddy! I hope you find what fits your needs!
It's always fun to watch the guys at Clawhammer put the J-hooks in when brewing solo. That pulley system is probably a good idea. Can't wait for a demonstration video. It's probably been a while since you've brewed on camera. Cheers!
Yeah, those guys are pretty entertaining lol. But I cringe every time I watch them do that one handed crap. I’m like nope!, I’m a one man show always soooo I need something to hold that sucker up! Boosts are terribly expensive anyhow. Cheers!
That Grainfather has plenty life in it yet. I probably brewed in it less than 20 times. It worked great for me. But I’m excited about the next level. Cheers!
I am looking forward to your upcoming assembly and first brew on the Clawhammer. I currently own a Grainfather and my main complaint is the length of time it takes to heat water. I have started to research 240v systems and the Clawhammer BIAB system looks interesting - faster heating and no sparging.
Just got mine in the mail today!!!! flippin' HUGE!!! Only having one issue and that's the heating element installation into the kettle itself....I am not quite sure I am doing it right. sadly the only tutorial video they have is for the smaller element.
@@TheBrewQ hahaha actually update! I was referring to the lack of silicone ring that goes between the element and the kettle section. turns out it was stuffed into a tiny bag in the bigger yellow bag. hah
I love my 20 gallon and I’ve brewed many 5 gallon low gravity batches on it. If you plan on brewing a high gravity or 10 gallon batch once in a while, go with the 20. You can always dial the boil percentage down on the element. No regrets with mine at all. Cheers!
I am happy to see you back
Thanks! One day I’ll find consistency again lol

Yeah, I am hoping to do a brew this weekend for the first time with it and will video it. Having a space devoted to brewing will be nice also!
Thats a big mother buddy, looking forward to seeing it in action. cheers
Me too! I’m juggling so much haha. I’m doing a brew day real soon with it and will be videoing it, screw ups and all!

Thats what you do is sell the old for the new, someone's happy and you're happy. Enjoy your new system

You mean wiring it up?

Lol yeah you definitely need that. It’s a little tricky getting used to using a triclamp also. Good luck! I love mine.
Got my unboxing vid almost done. I'll let you know when in case you wanna check it out. : D
Hey dude! Question, you have any issues with your pump? Mine seems to uhh..not really pump a whole lot.
Any regrets getting the 20 and you still happy with your purchase
Love my system. No regrets at all.
I can't decide between the 10 and the 20 gallon I want high gravity 5 gallon batches
