Excellent video! I have enjoyed following your exploits. I eagerly await your progression. If you are interested, I do have a few non-spoiler facts/suggestions. The thrower/tavern brawler combination is a very effective build, but there are certain essentricities you should be aware. Firstly, most weapon properties do not apply when the weapon is thrown unless it is specifically stated, ie the electic charges will not be generated if you throw the trident you just acquired. However, most items that have an effect on unarmed strikes will also proct the listed condition/damage with a thrown attack (there are a pair gloves that you will might encounter soon that not only generate electic charges with an unarmed attack, as stated, but will generate electric charges if you throw any weapon). With regards to Laz'el, I am a big fan of Heavy armor master. The damage reduction synergizes quite well with a set of heavy armor that can be attained/created after defeating a certain boss that might still be haunting the nightmares of your rogue character. Lastly, as a point of clarification, the Elixir of Heroism not only provides the 10 temporary hit points , but more importantly adds 1d4 to all attack/saving throw rolls (basically the benefits to a Bless spell) until long rest. Good luck. Cheers
Thanks a lot! Good to know all of that! Because we are a Githyanki Eldritch Knight though, I don’t think we’ll be throwing a whole lot of stuff - just our main weapon, which I presume is going to be a thrown weapon once we find a good one. I’m happy with Lae’zel and heavy armour, although I wasn’t actually planning on taking that when I started the series (not that I had much of a plan at all, haha). I think she will do quite well with the heavy armor in the coming episodes.
@@immersioneer Actually, the trident does have the thrown property, thus is a throwing weapon (as are daggers, hand axes, light hammers, spears, javelins, etc). If you bind said weapon using the EK bound weapon feature, it becomes a returning weapon that will immediately return to your weapon wielding hand once it is thrown. Regards
I think you're doing well in terms of keeping with the theme of the playthrough :-) I also think you're about one bad rng away from losing, the way you approach fights here. It will have to be a really bad rng of course, Eldritch Knight is notoriously hard to kill, still, I can definitely see it happening. So it's an interesting watch :-)
@@immersioneer You're competent :-) I personally don't think this particular playthrough is going into Act 3, for reasons I won't disclose until it happens or you prove me wrong somehow :-))
I m the only one who use backpacks for every kind of consumables? I mean, my rogue have his own bb with arrows and poisons, another one for scrolls etc etc etc, for every character i use?!!😅
Yup, sometimes I use it on low HP guys in case they get away with 1-2 HP after my strike. I do this when I know we’ll have to short rest anyway if we used a lot of abilities.
Slightly puzzled as to where are you taking your main character. You took Tavern Brawler, so a natural first thing to do would be to start throwing, something, anything :-)) Why run around with a useless longsword for a full episode?
Great playthrough, I think sticking nicely to the theme.
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it!

Yeah, I think I’m getting a better grasp of the game and all the rules now, so hopefully that will help us pull through :)

I only realised recently that you can pick up the pouches and backpacks off the ground and use them to organise the inventory. Very useful imo :)
You wanna use lacerate on targets with higher hp that it might take you a couple more rounds to kill :)

We are just waiting to find a good thrown weapon that fits him thematically :)
Returning pike maybe?? @@immersioneer
@@rabbit8220 We already get the returning property from our class ability, so hopefully we can find something better ;)
