Thank you so much dude. I was going insane because disc 1 of Panzer Dragoon Saga was SO good and I was completely blueballed when I found out disc swapping wasn't as straightforward as I assumed. Cheers and have a nice 2021.
Thank you. Sadly I have to say that my NWN2 MotB restart is still not done. Hardware, os, and game source changes (I now only have the complete edition from Gog instead of the retail discs) along with life have kept it in the sidelines. Rest assured I am not abandoning it, though. :)
I thought RetroArch would swap discs automatically when playlists are being used, and wondered why nothing worked. Bindind and using hotkeys helped! Thanks.
It sounds like you ignored the part at 1:04 - 1:18 You can't change the file extension the way he did it otherwise. All you were doing were simply naming your file to be "Example.m3u.txt"; there was no change in the actual extension. So enable the ability to see the extensions _then_ change it.
@@lethauntic Found out that the problem was with my faulty .cue file for the second disc, so I updated my m3u file to look for .ccd files instead of .cue
man do you guys remember how fucking easy it was to do this in epsxe? why the fuck does it take an 8 minute video to do what I did with 2 clicks 20 years ago? jesus. christ. it's like we're regressing!
You are free to feel this way, but that is just factually incorrect. It only takes two hotkeys to change to a next / previous disc on RetroArch as well. With epsxe you did not combine discs to a single game entry for the menu. Nor limit disc change to only the discs belonging to the game, so you never need to hop between directories when playing a different game than the last time, if your images are in different folders. Nor did you get a per-game memory card which was automatically used for all the discs belonging to the game. :)

Welcome back, Lord Archantos!!!
I hope your family is well. And I selfishly hope you have spent some of those six years replaying NWN 2 so we can continue Mask of the Betrayer! :D

god bless man thank you for this
Thank you this was very helpful.....I finally can progress.

Glad to hear it helped you get rolling. :)
The m3u file is successfully loaded in my case but is not added to the PSX game list! Is there any solution for that particular detail?
Will it work for ps2 games on retroarch
How do you scan .m3u files in Retroarch?
How do I do that, but to continue the game when I reach the end of disc 1?
Changing the .txt extension to m3u didn't help change the file type at all.

How do you swap discs in re2, I insert Disc 2, restart, and then I'm stuck at PS1 bios?
It sounds like you aren't supposed to restart

@@Adam-nc6qg did you change both the cds cue to ccd or just the second one
your video is helpful but eight minutes too long
sorry to disagree, but I'm new to all this and the context was helpful :/
