- WATCH: A Milwaukee man accused of killing six people and injuring dozens more when he drove an SUV through a suburban Christmas parade must stand trial, a court commissioner ordered Friday.
Prosecutors have presented “ample” evidence to show Darrell Brooks Jr. probably committed felonies, Waukesha County Court Commissioner Kevin Costello said at the end of a preliminary hearing. That’s the point in the criminal justice process where court officials decide whether there’s enough proof to bind defendants over for trial.

This is interesting during the trial, Darrell Brooks kept saying he didn’t know or understand the charges against him. He was well informed.

There is no defense on his crimes, talk about any possible defense to the family victims.
The judge should read their names off.... But on the other hand I understand they deserve privacy as they rest in peace.

Standard procedure to keep the victim’s family and any victims that were children, safe before and after trial.

What’s worse is that he’d ran over Erika Patterson in a rage at the beginning of November 2021, and as had happened all his miserable life his mother bailed him out. Then on Nov 19 when he was released his mother again handed her unlicensed, violent , rage filled, deadbeat, criminal son who she knew had run his gf over the keys to her 3000lb weapon, he was living in that vehicle because his mother wouldn’t let him stay in her home because of his rage and violence. But she let everyone else be unprotected from her violent son. And Nov 20 he went to Waukesha and assaulted Erika, then Nov 21 he assaulted her again and then took his violence on a rampage through the Christmas Parade killing and injuring so many. Should his mother be charged also ? She has so much responsibility in this reprehensible crime.
And his mother tried to put it out there he had mental illness, that's something you can't play with

His lawyers should do the right thing and strongly encourage him to plead guilty. The time and expense of a trial when the defendant is obviously guilty just creates more victims--this time, the taxpayers.
I don't think that Darrell Brooks will make a plea bargain because he stubbornly believes that he did nothing wrong. However I do respect the decision of the court to have Mr. Brooks undergo court-ordered psychiatric evaluation.
For evaluation from four different doctors concluded that he was not insane when he committed these crimes he knew what he was doing and he knew right from wrong bottom line he is a murderer every one of the victims deserves Justice especially poor little innocent Jackson Sparks he was only 8 years old

Not yet because the courts need to select a jury and this is going to be a very difficult process due to both the high profile of the case and the desire to make sure that the makeup of the jury will ensure that Mr. Brooks' constitutional right to a trial by a jury of his peers is respected.
It isn’t a matter of “tacking on” a bunch of charges - he broke a number of laws and injured and killed a lot of people. They are each independent charges. That’s how it works.
His actions were 911 problems while running "driving" he headed towards a parade 😫 should've turned another direction on sight of people in streets 😫😭😱🤯🙏 bad timing matter 24 7. 🤔If it wasn't for the chace
