I finally get it. It makes sense watching him insist the world know about his shackles. He genuinely thinks his situation is unfair and unjust, and not only that but he genuinely believes people would be sympathetic to him if they knew. That’s why he talked about jury nullification, it’s why he insisted on initially appearing in a jail smock, and why he brought up restraints and everything else. He actually thinks people would feel sorry for him and advocate for his release, when in reality people are just tickled pink to see his misery. He’s just that out of touch with reality.

It’s disconcerting that the court would lie about it if they did, all she had to do is explain it’s a security measure & shock wasn’t used on him at the end of the day, even if the device was placed. That’s why she convoluted her answer on the issue

@@shaheedharun445 Lets just say I am in a position to know, there is no such thing as an ankle shock as a prisoner control measure. It doesn’t exist, probably because of the lawsuits that would rapidly follow! I guarantee what was said to Brooks is that it was an ankle “shackle” and he heard “shock.” Note that he said “ankle shock” several times throughout the trial. Honestly until his outburst today I assumed he was mispronouncing “ankle shackle” himself because the idea of an electric shock device is so absurd.

I can't imagine why he thought nullification would be a get out of jail free card. If it was just minor charges, it might have worked. But I find it mind boggling that even somebody as deluded as Brooks would think even a single juror could look at a case against a person with a history of violence and who then drove through a parade route, killing six and injuring dozens more, and claims to have a clear conscience, and say to themselves "Wow, these traffic laws and the notion of not being allowed to take peoples' lives in cold blood are complete nonsense and I'm going to ignore them."

He is such a narcissist he really thinks people would be shocked to know if he actually did have a shock device on his ankles. If it was true (not that I believe him) I think it’s an excellent idea for those who are cold-blooded murderers like him & those who are at risk of going off in the courtroom. Stun guns are used in normal law enforcement so totally reasonable for a similar unobtrusive device violent inmates who are in custody at trial. He probably didn’t have them but I bet one of the CO’s or bailiffs told him he did so that he’d think he couldn’t move too far. And tbh I think that is the only thing that prevented him from attacking the judge on the first day his vicious, malevolent, violent look of hate & murder contemplation came out in court, targeted at the judge. I think it was the day he told her that he was a grown man & nobody told him what to do. He was standing glaring at her & his body was rocking slightly like he was trying to judge whether he could reach her before he was stopped.

BUT I did see him without headphones in the other court, during the trial, clearly able to hear. In particular when the judge was counting the cameras in each court. She stated there were 4 in his room. He then begins to turn and count them with no headphones on. So he was caught a long time ago. Lol!

Judge Dorow was the best judge for this case because she countered Darrell Brooks perfectly.
What some people don't understand is that Brooks was looking for a fight. He wanted her to blow up at him and match his energy so that he could taint the proceedings by manipulating the narrative and then eventually claim a mistrial. It was evident in how much he kept prodding her, that was textbook manipulation tactics used by abusers. They'll gaslight people by twisting their words and instigating them, and when they inevitably blow up they can immediately turn around and act like they're the victim and make it seem like you're at fault. He did that many times, not only to the judge, but to a few of the witnesses as well.
But Judge Dorow didn't play his game and instead did the absolute opposite, which was to continue to do things legally by the book and allow him to showcase his outbursts and tactics on the record in order to secure that there will be no possibility for him to gain an appeal. So those trying to claim that the judge was "weak" for not controlling him or telling him to shut up; she was being smart. She took the time to maintain an accurate record and then ultimately let him be his own worse enemy.
That is what was needed in this case. It's not about fighting a narcissist with control or logic, because you'll never win. It's about showcasing to others their own delusions and ultimately making their actions be what causes their own downfall. And that is exactly what Judge Dorow has done. So, well done.

Wasn’t one of Illinois v. Allen’s three listed options, as he continually referenced, to bind and gag the defendant? Wouldn’t that be a hoot and a half if Judge Dorow decided to utilize that option at sentencing rather than removing him and hitting the mute button since he obviously took offense to her “illegal 4th option?” 😂😂😂
