Cebu is one of the exotic food spots in Philippines, they are the only one who is eating dishes with mais and rice is put in banana leaf called pungko. There dishes are different compared to all the provinces in PH.
Pungko means forward sitdown ....also doku means vow down....the system of eating on this street food makeshift table is called pongku pongku or doku doku...they also call it mcdoku or mcpongku because you eat in low table and low chairs...in manila pongkupongku or dokudoku is called toru turo but eating in standing position and minus the puso hanging rice....normaly puso is wrapped in coconut leaves but some resto are using plastic wrapping...puso is also present in malaysia and indonesia...
This is one of the Happiest i've seen you guys celebrating the art and respect of culinary! I enjoyed this SO much! Thanks so much Mark for bringing US ALL along with you!
It's impossible to think of Cebu without thinking of good times and great food. Cebuanos just have that fantastic friendliness and warmth that make anyone feel welcome. Thank you, Mark, for featuring this aspect of such a wonderful island.
That giant fish is called Bumphead Parrotfish, in my place Mactan, we called "Talaungan". Parrotfish has a big role in maintaining the health & diversity of our corral reef ecosystem. Parrotfish are the one responsible in shaping the beautiful reefs in the islands of Cebu 🐋🏖️🏝️
