Nice vid Dave! a suggestion: how about having the onboard of the chasing driver in the corner of the normal layout? we like to see how you're handling your car, but the 2 ideas together could be great!

McLaren is such a fun car to drive and the traction out of the corners is just so great when defending
When I use it in GT7 it isn’t the fastest car but it’s so nice in races since I can drive it consistently

Chapeau for Daniel Sinka. Although he obviously had that little bit more, he patiently and prudently built up pressure. You don't see that very often.
Thats my favorite thing in racing when you can pressure somone in front untill they make a mistake you can capitalize on, and make the pass with no contact or dive bombs just a solid battle where both guys put their nerves and mental fortitude on the line and leave no question who was best that day.
Id honestly rather a great battle for 4th or 5th than a win where i just walked away from the field. Its good to test your limits and see what your made of when the pressure is on if you lose the other guys better and you can see what you have to work on. If its close the exact same scenario plays out but if you truelly beat them at their best and your best you can be proud

Love it. Thanks, Dave. I did a a GT4 race here and it was a disaster. Porsche Cup at Road Atlanta was a blast though.
I can see you raced Sinka Dániel, im in the same league as him, always mighty fast (he was probably trying to calm down this race, because he had a rough final round in the most recent championship, and lost out on P3 in the standings, and yes it was a GT4 championship)
Edit: i wrote Sinka Dániel, because with Hungarian names the family name comes first, but some people change it up for iRacing
I like Jim's pearls of wisdom. Was being pressured like that one time and he said "don't worry about him, he'll go away". I thought what are you going to do Jim, order a hit or something?

You handled the pressure well and I'm sure you learned a thing or two. I think you will not be quite so uncomfortable when a similar situation occurs.
If you notice how Daniel drives the Porsche is much different than how you do around monza.he uses more track and doesn't turn in as early

0.6 SR loss, that hurts. Can’t say I had a different experience there this week though. Red Bull ring is really difficult in terms of off-tracks.

I don't no if anyone else's was going faster going down to 1st gear on the second turn and to 3erd on the second to last I might be wrong but I was making up time like crazy at the end of races

If you feel bad about your irating. After rookies iracing gave me a 3300 irating. I spent the next few months trying to get my safety rating up to A and now I'm sitting at 1300. Going for safety rating makes you a worse driver I swear.
Couple of endurance races will sort your SR right out! If you’ve got a gt4 or tcr, the Michelin Pilot Challenge is a good one 👍
Start the video wondering if you are “washed up”….then run pristine laps fighting off a great, clean racer….
