    Ellen, I am still in the learning phase of soap making. I have been watching videos, and reading books for weeks trying to learn the science and art behind it all. Your UA-cam videos are my absolute favorite so far! I have learned so much from you and I look forward to one day becoming a soap maker like you. I also live in Tennessee just north of Chattanooga! Thank you for taking time out to teach people like me. 🧼

    We had the same thought this morning with the carrot and spirulina so I was so excited when I woke up and saw your video notification. I had sent my son out to the store to pick up the carrot baby food last night so I would be ready to roll this morning. I hope mine turns out as lovely. Purchased a “succulent” fragrance oil from Brambleberry a few months ago so I’m going to give that a go.

    I have been eyeballing this fragrance oil for a bit. I have hesitated because I don't know how well it will sell. It just seems like it would be a wonderful gardening or kitchen soap fragrance. Farmer's Market Vine Ripe Tomato sounds divine as well. I probably would have a house full of fragrance oils if I bought everything that tempted me. lol

    Hi Ellen! How do you keep your milk soaps from overheating? Do you still cover it and let it go through gel?

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  3 роки тому +1

      I do cover them and go thru gel phase, I just keep an eye every few hours to make sure they aren't too hot. My studio is very cold, so it's usually not a problem for me.

    Teacher Ellen, I saw the colour of your batter changed from a beautiful creamy yellow to a brown! May I know what caused the change in colour? Your soaps always so beautiful. No matter how simple it may be, you always find a method to make it beautiful! You are an artist! Thank you very much!

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  3 роки тому +1

      The color change was the carrot and milk reacting to the lye, it bounces back to a cream color after saponification.
