You missed one, when you have navigated to a sub menu, long press menu up takes you to what BMW call the "Pure Ride" screen i.e. taco screen. Long press menu down takes you to the sub menu you were in.
Maps are typically downloaded using Wi-Fi and are updated every 3 months or so. The Connected App is self contained for navigation i.e. it does not use any data, however, if you want to set the "Consider Traffic" option to on then it will use data for traffic information just the same as a Garmin device.
great video. I just got a 2022 bmw r1250 rt and i love it.
Thanks greatly appreciated.
Hey Kim. Just bought a GT. Can I play Spotify through my connected app, or media?
How do you reset trip odometer?
In settings I have no Alarm heading. I'm guessing that means there's no alarm fitted on my bike?

Learn something new every day .....🙂
How would you go from full screen map to split screen then back to full screen map ?
4:46 is when it starts
In order to get the Nav and map, does it pull data usage off your connected phone?
No. It only uses data for initial map data download. Once the country maps are installed it's completely self contained. Just like a normal gps.
But it uses the smartphone as the computing device.
@@KimMoonbmwmoonie Interesting - I thought for sure the data would be cranking away while navigating. Thanks!
@@Hogdriver88 it's a common misconception.
