@@sinistercinemareviews5420Honestly this movie was terrible. It makes no sense of how Samara had been surviving the past years in the woods without seeming to have experience with the blood cannibals, or the cannibal worshippers. If she did have experience due to the whistling why they have a means of defense or escape established. Why go to a camp full of people with no plan and get distracted reminiscing about a crappy bracelet just to get caught. Why hide under the house. Why are they worshipping blood cannibals. Why during the first sacrifice did only one cannibal show up and why was it so slow. If there's multiple and faster ones where were they at. They would know that area too because of the common sacrifices with blood smell. Why when she got caught in the trap was nobody else there from the 100 people at camp chasing her. Why why whyyyy is this movie so terrible??!!!
I absolutely loved this. As far as ambiguity is discussed, I love when there's little information and dialogue given. Leaves more to the imagination and interpretation. And Samara is an absolute queen of destruction. That decapitation scene was sexy af! XD
Couldn't agree more Jason. This was a lean, mean, awesome surviving machine. There was not one dull moment in it. I was always expecting a slow down to come, but it never did. And I'm so happy to lived through a movie without any exposition dumb, flashbacks, nothing. Just straight forward to the Climax. Samara was never better than here. 9/10 What a ride. 😍
In Hebrew & Islam, which at one time were the same religion, Azrael was the son of Enoch, & is the angel of death, &, like Abbadon, can be benevolent or malevolent.I saw him once, in 1969, & It saved my life from something worse than death that was about to happen in my household.
Great conversation, great insight, nicely done, looking forward to watching Azrael tonight. This could be the most divisive film of the year. I'm a big Samara fan, and have a bit of a religious background, love a fast paced film, no messing around, we'll see how it goes...
Grabbing theater tickets for this one. And, yeah, this has been one hell of a banger of a year for horror! Plus We have yet to get the windfall of genre fare October undoubtably brings. Then we close out the year and succumb to the darkness with Nosferatu this Christmas! 2024 will be one for the books.
I understand why Kali was confused and needed more from the film. However, I’m with Jason. I didn’t understand everything but I got what I needed. Plus Samara is fkn amazing in this movie with just her eyes alone.
You may talk about this further in the video but the hispanic truck driver who literally comes out of nowhere was an interesting and strange occurrence. It made you wonder about the rest of society and what was going on elsewhere.
To Kali's point, i don't think she missed anything. I just don't think there was anything to miss. I found all the religious stuff to be an afterthought they tacked on after a night of drinking or something. You have the same movie without it, which leaves you thinking why was it in there. Samara was 10/10 and undeniably carried the film. Without her, it's basically 1 cool church and some gore. I also didn't get a lot of the motivations. Kali kept saying vibe and that's kind of what it was. I just didn't vibe with it. But holy shit are you right about 2024 being insane. In another year I might have been higher on this, but we've had so many good movies already.
Late to the party SPOILER ALERT was bored 90% of it. monsters were not scary at all more like walking dead zombies 😂 after awhile stopped caring about the protagonist she gets in trouble and out, back in trouble right out plot armor.
I have no issue with the actions scenes, she ran when she was supposed to, she struggled believeable and she wasn't manhandling people double her weight and three time her size.
This was a HUGE let down for me. No plot, no character development (barely). This movie made no sense whatsoever. And yes, there was electricity in the camp, which made no sense? Where did they get gas from for the vehicles? How far into the future was this? Just so many questions with no answers. The “world building” wasn’t the greatest I’ve seen as again, it just raised way to many questions.
Honestly this movie was terrible. Exactly, like a lean cut of meat. Needs some fat on it for more flavor. All themes are great but I wanted more context to the overall goal of the clan that wants to use her as the sacrifice and the ending was cool. I wonder if the creatures were guiding her to the role she would play. Also, was it explained why she smiled at the end?
I used to watch a show with the same angel in it and that’s what he did to his human bride he wanted her to be stronger or better in a awhile so be would put her through these situations
I hated this movie. The gore was great, the burnt baddies were cool, everything looked amazing, but everything else sucked. It's not the no talking thing, I watched No One Will Save You & didn't even notice that aspect until I started watching reviews after. Spoilers If these people cut their vocal chords out to admonish their sins, why do they keep on sinning? Is the antagonist a Terminator? She got cut, deadly car crash, falling out of trees, & she's still running around cutting people's heads off in one fell swoop. How the guy snipe the truck driver from so far away they didn't even see him, yet he stands there until the truck hits him... then fights the car crash survivor. Why leave the main antagonist lady alive multiple times after she tied you to a chair to die? I have so many gripes, it so unreal while trying to be real which makes both aspects trash. I fell asleep at a part of this, so many times where you know what's happening and have to wait for each painstaking second of it to happen, then wonder how these people are surviving an apocalypse when they're making such dumb decisions.
Azreal needs a baby momma you ever watch that old bbc tv show called Hex? Well he likes to play games with his human bride mostly emotional but he could be sick want to put his chosen bride through trails and tribulations
I COMPLETELY agree with Kali. Something was missing in terms of information.
You guys are just dumb. 😉

It is cool to see and hear the Shudder logo on the big screen.
Awesome to see the split opinions here, definitely makes it more interesting to hear different takes. Great review as always, love yall.

Yes! People say horror is dead??? Hahaha. Clearly they aren’t watching anything

We sure have. You know, for the few of us that actually watch new horror movies.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 we may look back on 2024 as one of those banner years.
Do you think it’s a theater watch? I’m gonna watch it regardless. I just want to know if I should wait or not.
I say yes. Kali says no. Haha
This year is ridiculously good for horror so far
So good

Bummer

I don’t care about any of those things at all

Yes that’s what arzael does he plays games with his baby momma real shit lol

I thought this movie was pretty cool. (Spoilers) Azrael is the angel of death. So, I guess it makes sense she'd take care of the antichrist.

are you guys gonna see bagman? it's literally playing nowhere around here
It is playing fairly close to us but I’m not sure

This movie sucked, perpetual victim protagonist- lots of missing plot info to even follow along. Must miss ☹️
