Fun fact: the crawl space below gideon is named Gideon’s Grave in the game files which is a direct reference to Scott Pilgrim’s main villain, Gideon Graves as confirmed by one of the developers of Antibirth.

Fun fact! Bumbino can spawn in greed mode! That means he can pick up all the pennies on the ground if you haven't. I learned this the hard way.
Same goes with the demon beggar. If your doing the d20 strat he will ruin it very fast by picking up all the red hearts.

Nearly had a heart attack when i saw his bitch ass spawn, thankfully he spawned at the bottom and i managed to pick all the coins up

Siren's Skull is treated as a Regular Skull obstacle. I once got Dry Baby from bombing it!

I love the clever allegory on the Ultra Pride fight. It's a really interesting story if you don't know it:
Edmund left Flash Isaac to work on Rebirth, while Florian stayed behind and worked on the final update to Flash Isaac: Eternal Edition; an exceptionally difficult expansion (worth checking out if you haven't). That is what gave birth to the concept of the Eternal D6. If you play the hard mode on Eternal Edition, the normal D6 has a chance to make an item disappear. This was adopted in Antibirth and consequently to Repentance. This is also reflected in the unlock picture for the item, which shows Florian on it.
Oh yeah, I remember some of the eternal enemies and bosses from there. The eternal enemies are beasts!
I remember Eternal Edition basically being unplayable, there were so many bosses that were just plain broken. I remember one of the horseman used to just put white damage-creep over the entire floor and you'd take literally unavoidable damage.
@@Khrayfish Yeah, it was a little insane. But to be honest, I'll take the Eternal Edition random BS over whittling away at Delirium and Hush for 10 minutes at a stretch apiece. God, I hate boss armor.
@@Ryusuta Delirium doesn’t have boss armor but it does have _10,000 hp._
@@Ryusuta Delirium literally doesn't have armor, it's just that he has 10k hp. also if your damage is so low that it takes 10 minutes for you to kill him than you either A shouldn't complain or B shouldn't have went to the void in the first place. Mega satan literally has 5k HP (if adding up both phases), so if you took him down quickly (without counting the time it would take to kill waves of enemies) than it should at least minimum take twice as long. it even might take shorter than that since you can come across other bosses in the void and get more damage upgrades.
Edit: by complaining i don't mean about the difficulty, i mean the 10 minute thing.
It's cute that Florian drops the eternal d6 since he developed the original eternal expansion
what is the exact chance for the drop?
Also a great reference to how D6 only needed two hits if you have Habit to charge it (outside of 1.50 retail and Eternal), as well as how bullshit his D6 nerf was.

@@familiayoutuber4769 from what I can tell, the main change is the addition of a hard mode that was seen as unfair. Aside from that, it was mostly changes to existing items.

the Plum Flute is amazing, the friendly Baby Plum it summons can basically solo most bosses on her own, and it recharges in only four rooms.
Miles better than a stupid, Diluted HP Up. Don't know if it's worth it for the tainted lost but considering the amount of Range Up, place your bet...
Plum is such a carry, I love them! So many runs saved with the power of friendship
And she becomes even better with car battery, since it summons TWO baby plums, which means EVEN MORE PLUM POWER
For some reason many people disagree with this, saying it's not worth the effort.

Kinda sad there's no achievement for the Bumbino interaction. Also seeing that Great Gideon death animation makes me wish every final boss had an exclusive animation for dying to the chaos card.
to be fair, he only had one because he doesn't die normally
I’m glad there isn’t one for bumbino cause it’d be a pain to get honestly, at least for me maybe.
The only other boss 5that technically doesn't die is ultra greed when u beat him in greed mode game doesn't count him dead
@@1971taks yep he turns into golden statue and its only in Greedier where he attacks again as Ultra Greedier
Hit the Ultra Greed Statue with it for some help with the donations lol
Funfact: When a sticky nickel spawns (because of a poop from the boss room or another origin, idk mine was this), Bumbino will be stuck to it without getting it, so you can beat it without getting hit.
Same goes for Ultra Greed/Greedier
I kinda really like the animation they did for Great Gideon dying with a chaos card and I lowkey wish they did some of these for other characters as well.
Should lowkey do it with hush since he is the boss that is probably getting chaos carded the most

The thing is, there isn't any special coding for GG there; it's just his death animation includes the Chaos Card lodged in his forehead because that's the only way to kill him anyway.
I think that the Siren's skull acts like a regular skull obstacle after unlocking the trinket for the first time, because I got a tarot card after bombing it fairly recently

To be honest skulls have a really small chance to pay out with something actually useful so it's perfectly understandable
I really like how how bumbino turns out to be not that bad and even leaving a present for isaac
Sometimes you just need to beat your kids for money, but its okay when you say sorry and give them a present.

You can still kill Great Gideon with the chaos card when you are on the ascent to home. You will still get the crawlspace with the items and all.
But if you go in it crashes the game
Did you already know all 5 or was there something new for you? Btw I wasn't aware of this but Siren's skull apparently also has a chance to drop black hearts! So it is just the regular drop chances of skull obstacles, which makes sense ^^.

Yeah but that Gideon death animation with the chaos card struck in the middle of his face is an incredible touch in my opinion.

That's just his normal death animation, since chaos card is the only way to actually kill him.

Great stuff! It's less of a secret but you can also kill Hornfel out of the minecart before he escapes for an extra bomb-related item.

the ultra pride was new for me, but almost nobody knows that killing little steven before steven has a chance to spawn steven
Today is the day you learn the truth! The order of killing actually doesn't matter for the Steven boss fight, you can get both items no matter in which order you killed the 2 guys ;) The little steven first thing is just a fake rumor and very common misconception in the community because the dropchance for little steven is way higher...

Correction, bombing the Siren’s skull can also give you a black heart (happened to me twice)
It’s safe to assume that it works similar to the skull rocks, and can also drop a card (however I have yet to witness that myself)

fun fact: Eternal D6 in game name is "Florian Dice", wich is another callback to the Eternal Edition.
along with that, Eternal D6 have a chance to remove the item instead of rolling it (like Crooked penny), another callback to how the D6 was in the Eternal Edition

you can also (kinda) spare hornfel, in his second phase where he starts running around the room and tries to escape, you can just let him escape, from what i know this doesn't give you any special item.

if im being honest i havent not attacked baby plum except for when i was trying to unlock the flute
Not every character profits from the flute or rather has a potential health/tears up rather then a occasional damage dealer
I usualy figth her for the stat up, the item is most of the time useless

Holy Shit, great Gideons armory is awesome. Sadly you have to be super lucky to get it, unless you get chaos card from the hidden mine in the future

I killed the train cart boss before he could escape and he dropped the hot bombs item as well as the boss room item for beating him.
I keep dying to Plum so the secret of just dodging and ignoring her is clutch in my eyes.
Funfact : if you try to do the ace of spades achievement (beat the lamb without collecting coins bombs or hearts) and bumbino collects a coin, you lose the challenge

I've discovered something about the Clog boss in Dross floor:
If You place Butt bombs (the No. 2 item Also counts), they will heal the boss instead of hurting him. I don't know if ir works with every Dross boss, but it's really cool

Looking at bumbino’s item pool I think being a pacifist is likely not worth it unless you are overflow with health or something.
The fact that he deals 1 full heart of damage with his attacks kills it for me tbh. SInus Infection is a very powerful item tho.

I had a gamebreak with chaos card and blank card and i didnt know that if you using chaos card to gideon that he will spawn a trap door i randomly found it out

Apparently the crawlspace that opens up after killing gideon is called gideons grave in the code because of course they had to sneak a scott pilgrim reference in somewhere.
I love how I've seen so much rage over gideon, but when you look at it its basically just greed mode but with a big guy near the top of the room occasionally doing things. Now that I think about it, the community also seems to dislike greed mode, so checks out I guess.
I've only made it to Gideon with a Chaos Card a handful of times and everytime I whif my throw because I forget how it works
