I used to work in the waste water treatment industry and I took early retirement four years ago. Having watched your videos, I think I would have loved this work. There’s something quite pleasing about it!
Thanks for watching everyone 👍 apologies for some of the footage was best I could do with the angles and depths on my own, could have done with help from jetter 1 and 3 on that one but they where busy and miles away😊😁😎👍 👏💩💩 thanks U.U for turning up just in time 👌 Thanks Andy for the tall go pro stick was a life saver on that one 💪👍
@@formhubfar in some cases it's perfect depends on the depth of the manhole tbh to have it too down view as it's too dark, I placed this one on the benching of the manhole due to its depth to get better viewing, fully stretched out the go pro stick, and it was pretty much swallowed in 💩💩 There's another video due to come in where I opened the stand up and sat it on the ladders inside the manhole 🤣 worked well. There's been less manhole dives for the go pro anyway 👌😎😁 Having a top down view of the whole manhole is difficult with the stand, it would have to extend out like a full right angle to get right above the manhole. Might work it I place it on top of a few things will have a go in the future 👌👌
When you climbed inside. I was omg then when you kneeled. Our house drains in America are nothing like England’s drains our plumbers don’t do clean up like you do. The splash back made me jump.❤️
That's because theirs are significantly older than ours. Also, most of the more expensive, but more experienced plumbers clean up quite well. Cheaper doesn't always mean better.
that was terrific, sat here eating my cornflakes and POW the brown bubbling gruel exploded, i asked my missus how the hell did bricks get down there, she said the owner must be shitting bricks lol, only my missus wold come up with that one lol.
Sorry some one been throwing bricks down the toilet. I can understand wet wipes, tissues and ladies products but not bricks. There too heavy and too bulky unless a previous owner has put thrown them down the manhole
Would love to see additional video from this job...especially when everything is totally clear...Love watching your videos please post more of this job...
I find a lot of these Modern (well 70s-90s) estates, the sewage pipe work is undersized for the number of houses served , and often is at an incorrect fall
Those houses just looked like brookside close in West Derhy as i know it is nor Brookside Close as you could never get into it Jem . As that was early to mid 80's as i know you got Warrington on there as i use to go to Liverpool a lot either to watch either teams play and his dad lived in Page Moss they were the good old days Jem . Ps he was a Blues fan and i am a West Ham fan .
hehe live in the carribean after living in holland, now i have to deal with my own shit literally ( septic tank ) never appreciated all the work done in sewage in europe :P , but now i do, you are the real heroes
Great work as ever. Looking to get some merch for me and the hubby for our next trip to Liverpool from chesterfield. We were just wondering what happened to Jenny tho.
Isn't entering deep manholes like that a safety issue due to them being a confined space? And how would bricks get in there like that? Someone messing about?
Hello!! Noticed across the pond that there are always lots of manholes and here in the States, just one pipe from the house to the manhole in the street. Why is that???
Really mixture of reasons, houses often share drains. Population density and proximity of houses too. Historic and current rules and regulations on separation of surface water and foul drains. Age of properties and the quality of historic drains compared to the PVC runs that have been fitted for the last 25+ years
Andy, WOW WOW WOW, that was a blow out ! And the size of that blockage would have choked a horse! Well done my friend!😊💩🧤where did go for so long? Your voice is muffled!🥴
Hi Suzanne was a good one that wasn't it, yeh apologies for the sound in some parts it must have been from a few splash backs covering the speaker 😖 💩💩💩
@@jetter2-andy-539 If it makes you feel any better, it's the same over here in Norwich with Anglian Water ! We had the Council out 3 times to unblock drains on our property as we had the manhole for the whole run of houses... as soon as the feller got out of the van, the neighbors on the OPPOSITE side come out saying "my toilet wont flush". Massive issues with fat and nappies in the main drain outside were the cause. Last time it blocked I went over the road, asked them if their toilets were blocked and when they said yeah, I called Anglian Water myself. All they could say is "well no one has complained"... turns out no one wants to ring them because they think they'll get charged!
I'd be peed off if I was that customer. Paying a private company and uu turning up as Andy finished 🤣 Shared drains... got to love them. Keep safe with no mh entry Andy. Not good for your health or business for h&s to jump in.
I could taste that all the way from Auckland, new Zealand, spit. urgh! I need one of those face shields watching it on you tube. Better phone the drainage board and tell'em to open the gate a load's coming! How do you get bricks down there?

WOW ANDY, the best explosion of a drain that I have ever seen! Thank you 😊
Made me jump when it splashed on the cam haha
Same, jumped out of my skin
Lmao Same here. Funny how videos get us humans to naturally react like that. 😂
Like a Horror movie
Right at your living room

Good afternoon from the USA.
I really don't know why these are so amazing to watch but if you ever stopped filming these I actually don't know what else I'd watch

How many people shut there eye when that water splashed up all over the camera lol good job andy
Good money shot on that one jetter 2 great vid

Coffee chockie bars and gopro mounts, I've you spoilt rotten.
Andy not sure of the dimensions but when the stands are fully extended can they straddle a manhole so you can get a top down view?
My first idea of sending the stands was to get the gopro further away from (the action) as one time I swear I could smell it through my speakers.

A couple of times I thought the GoPro was going to take a dive and we were going to get a turd’s eye view!!! Great work as always lads.
‘Turds eye view’. Love it! 😂😂😂
Had to clean my glasses 3 times during that one, lol, great stuff, long live sweetcorn

I think some went on my lip.
Put the lid back on my coffe for this one
came here to mention the 🌽 🤢🤧😂
One of your best videos!
Fantastic, video jetter 2. Keep them coming🇨🇦

Not called manholes for nothing!

Seeing that blockage pop out is just ao satisfying, that one was a monster
Good Friday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset

You could almost smell it
Great work as ever! Have a great weekend you guys and of course Jenny xxx
Reports are that The Mersey river rose by 2 feet after that cleared.
Clogs go on 'neath the streets

Great job as always
Love the videos guys. Need to think about Confined Space Regulations when climbing into manholes though👍👍
no shit!
Great video👍
3:27 I flinched so bad hahaha
Nice job Andy. Some strange items that end up in the sewers.

Good work - job well done 🙂
now i am either looking for, or going to make a windshield wiper app for my phone specifically to watch the drain cleaning channels, lol!
Couple of good gushers on this trip! Thank you for sharing your work
OH MAN. You got that all over me!!
Lou you just beat me there 😁😁
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Another job well done J2. Really could have done with some help on that one though
My old Mercedes had tiny wipers for the headlights. Maybe retrofit some?
Up close and personal .thank goodness no smellavision 😂👍🏻

Sounded like a steel drum getting played
Nice to see cross company work with UU 😁
Impressive fatburg!!
Time to put the poor GoPro in the dishwasher!
Need a camera with windscreen wipers on it
Thanks Andy I got blinded there for a second 👍

Some people are just built different

Yep I was thinking confined space, no air monitor or ventilation.
Sounded like I was in a submarine
Good poop 💩 shot on the cam made me jump happy Halloween 🎃
What was the united utilities lorry for? Was he going to jut out the drain
god i hope you use protection on your go pro lol, that first blast was brutal
