This is some nice footage! The 1702 is by far my favorite steam locomotive in the Eastern US, and my 3rd favorite in general. The GSMR is about 3 hours away from where I'm from in the Piedmont region, and the engine is so famous that I'm honestly surprised it hasn't become the state steam locomotive of NC. Great work once again!
Awesome video! Was that the 2pm train during the 2nd half of it? And if so, do you know if they went past the quarry or stopped there then headed back?
Thanks for the info. That’s what I figured. It appears they don’t go pass the quarry whenever they don’t have any rafters on the train, which sucks because it makes the trip a tad bit shorter. I’m riding the 1pm on Monday (30th), so I’ll expect stopping at the quarry unfortunately lol

Yes, that was the 2pm. They stopped at the Rock Quarry to our disappointment.
