At 2:55 is SO BOGUS! With so much plan and power, how could Desslok NOT know of plans to conquer Earth and Argo? This is SO OFF the linear of the first 2 saga stories! To quote Lucy van Pelt from Peanuts ... "WHAT BLOCKHEAD COOKED ALL THIS??"
Also, this is almost certainly a rip of Voyager's DVD releases of Starblazers. This season was only shown once in the U.S., and only in a few cities, and it was delayed until 1985, long after kids had moved on from Star Blazers to other imported anime like Robotech and Voltron and American "mecha" like Transformers. The first US editors attempted *crop* the Japanese titles out of the pictures. The DVD started over with the Japanese animation and just put the American voices on top of it.
not necessarily. depends on current job assignments and assigned levele of authority at the time. for example back during ww 2 admiral nimitz and general mark clark were the equivolent rank, but clark was chairman of the joint of the chiefs so he had command authority of nimitz
* I've always taken Dagan's line about "overwhelmed by superior firepower" here as a exaggeration (OK, a lie) to avoid having to say that his force lost to a single ship, which would be an embarrassing admission to say the least. * Watching SB/SBY, one of the more enlightened comments was made in Season 1 by Crypt, Desslok's crony, in the episode where Gamalon was destroyed. Depending on the translation, it goes something like "Its like we're fighting a ghost ship! How can an old Earth battleship defeat all our forces? We're fighting something we don't understand, we need to stop fighting them before they destroy us!" In SBY, Crypt gets shot by Desslok for his troubles (SB toned it down for kid TV in the US, and Desslok just dismisses Crypt for defeatist talk).
@SpockBorg5: agreed re: generals vs. admirals. Also, real-world wise, it could just be they weren't especially careful in the translation, so "admiral" instead of "general" may have been used when the Japanese was dubbed into English. In the first season, all the Gamelon fleet commanders (Lysis, Krypt, Talan) were Generals, but in Bolar "Admiral" is used for everyone except Dagon, it seems.
I have a question.Since the crew of the Argo talked to these guys in previous episodes and they look like Gamelons, and thier ships kinda look like Gamelon ships why desn't somewon say "Hey, could these blue guys actually be Gamelons, or are thier two blue skined humenoid races that want to conquer the Galexy in our lifetimes ?"
"overwhelmed by superior firepower"?? These guys have missiles that can make a star go nova, not to mention that they and they consider one paltry Wave Motion Gun to be superior fire power? All their ships have Desslock Cannons anyway..
Captain Hammer my name is Derek Wildstar, maybe you've heard of me, I've saved Earth twice, going on thrice. Now that I think of it, why haven't I been promoted? Anyone have Captain Gideon's locker combination? I want a cool coat.

This is a new crew for the Argo. At the end of the Comet Empire war there were only 18 survivors of the original Star Force!
Dagan, are you nuts. If i was you, I should resign, just to save yourself.

He just came over to get a free meal!! lol
In Bolar Wars, Deadlock cares more about his birthday presents than anything else it seems
In Bolar Wars, Homer talks like the kid from Jerry McGuire.
I totally understand Captain Hammer's problem @ 06:15 , I wouldn't be able to eat with THAT music playing either LOL!

Dagan didnt lie...yamato/argo used the wave motion gun in that battle which is far superior to anything gamilon/galmania has
Thx 4 posting...

Bolar Wars is complete in 25(or 26) episodes.

It's like a title; it says, "The Assault of Dagon's Newest Fleet."
Hi there. I have seen the episodes up to 20. Are there any more in the Bolar War series that can be viewed? Thanks.
I always wondered if the Starforce had found a new Earth....How would they have transported the population before the Sun exploded???
dudesssssssssssssssssssssss i just find out this isa new remake fromthe 1980s expodeis of starblazers niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I preferred it when Gamilon ships looked a little more biotech inside. They changed a lot after the first series and looked a lot less alien. IMO.
@vlunney ther eis no lasting peace within japanese animation. Thats why we all love anime.
WTF. did the EDF never rebuild the Starfleet after the Comet Empire Battle? wheres all the F&@!ng ships?
I'll sit down sir? What is that?
"overwhelmed by superior firepower"?? These guys have missiles that can make a star go nova, not to mention that they and they consider one paltry Wave Motion Gun to be superior fire power? All their ships have Desslock Cannons anyway..
Anyone have a idea of what the translation of the Japanese text that appears at 2:07 is? I assume its something like "17th Carrier Fleet."
At 2:20 is very impressinve. That is A LOT of military space power to destroy just the Argo / Yamato. Is there no way to destroy the Star Force?
@olesne lol i wondered that too

Sometimes I think Wildstar is a little too mature for his age. Even in a show like this.
2:27 Royal N-1 Starfighter inspiration?
@ey3g0tcha he's not full captain yet. just "acting captain". u'd think they promote him by now after all he's done for earth. :\
why isnt wildstar wearing a captain's coat?
Megametres?
world war of space 2
M
I don't think this is new. Just not played much back in the day.
I never liked this season. Too much romance.
