    The last one is actually a wild cucumber and (kinda obviously from the name) grows wild here in Africa.

    Those radish leaves, flowers and fresh green seed pods are perfectly edible, delicious to snack on, and in salads or sandwiches.
    The greens can also be shopped small in order to add last minute to a vegetable soup. Very good.

    I grow snake beans and they grow abundantly, they do have a musky smell though, the smell goes away when cooked

    I really want to plant all of these plants. I've watched this video a couple of times so far, and being cold outside, I have a serious desire to break ground. Damn, I have to wait a couple of months still.

    Neither Bitter Melon nor Bitter Gourd are edible when ripe. Only eat them when still green outside with a white interior all the way through. However, you must let them ripen until the seeds are red to save for next year.

    You are calling it Bitter Melon, and then showing pictures of Bitter Gourd. Bitter Gourd is from India and is more bitter/medicinal than Bitter Melon, which is from China. One way to tell is that Bitter Gourd looks more warty.

    I've been trying to get your seed catalog for several months now. I tried the "request a catalog" on the website twice a couple months apart and tried to get one with my last 2 orders this month and no such luck. Can someone help me with this? It's much easier for me to order and mark pages and sections. I have at least 2 more orders to place and would like to utilize your awesome catalog. Thanks

    I love these videos! I only have a question: Are you planning of selling these aforementioned sweet potatoes as seeds or only as plants (I know that usually they are sold as tubers but one can only hope)? I live in Europe and would really love them in my garden.

    • @RareSeedsBC
      @RareSeedsBC  5 років тому +3

      Only as plants unfortunately! My suggestion is to check out your nearest Asian grocery market or to a health food store and sprout those tubers using the tooth pick trick!

    Can anyone help me? I want to grow cabbage and I live in zone 6b. Space is limited. Some would be used for coleslaw and colcannon and some for kraut. I would even be open to more than one variety but I honestly can’t decide. I would appreciate anyone’s help. Please and thank you 🌈😄❤️

    Great video, but person needs to speak a little faster, the pace slows down too much sometimes, great voice though.

    • @RareSeedsBC
      @RareSeedsBC  5 років тому +6

      Thanks for the feedback! Its all about striking a good balance with the pace! Speaking slowly and clearly is important to us because it allows us to more clearly convey information to all viewers/listeners, we like to take into consideration viewers who may not speak english as a first language or those who have learning differences.

    How can "Cannibal tomato" be a real tomato if the leaves are edible? Tomatoes are a member of the Nightshade genus, and only the tomato fruits are edible.
