    Hello, My name is Adeleke Favour and am a farmer from Nigeria I really appreciate you and your team for bringing creativity and sustainability into agriculture by introducing aquaponics in its best way.
    Actually in my farm I grow fruits, vegetables, livestocks and herbs and we're really intentional about this because we feel we add values to humanity. Meeting our customers need consistently had not been too easy on us basically because there is a whole lot more we need to learn from experts in this field in terms of technology advancements seed quality and more, and that is the main reason why we need your company's experience to guide us in achieving this. Actually we really want to add values to our country which is suffering from food insecurity, malnutrition, stunting and hunger.
    We can be of help to our country by improving our productivity rate and by making research on how to grow and sustain our farm for the future in other to help solve most problems we go through in health here in Nigeria.
    I know your company had made a difference by setting up a strategic plan on how to grow vegetables organically, and we would love to do the same here in Nigeria in other to reduce most paradox we go through.
    We would love to know more on how to set up an aquaponic farm in terms of finances, equipments, structural planning and resources in other to achieve this.
    We can also bridge a gap in terms of building a capacity of collaboration.
    Thank you so much
    QIQI farms.

    All I see here are leafy vegetables. I don't see broccoli, turnips, celery, carrots and certainly not corn. I know that hydroponics can also grow leafy greens and it seems to be cheaper to install and operate, but please feel free to correct me if I am wrong on that count. That said, I think that my observation on the cost between the two is correct, and if it is, then why add the fish to the picture when it also adds extra cost to create the system and more work to maintain the system? Any constructive criticisms or advice would be greatly appreciated as I am considering putting in 1/10th to 2/10ths of an acre of one system or the other. Thanks.

    Does this aquaponics system permit you to grow more vigorous/hungry plants like tomatoes, peppers or even legumes? All the videos I tend to see covering this way of cultivation only have chard, lettuce and other leafy vegetables.

    Great overview and so insightful, the way you explain the entire process end-to-end. It is also encouraging to hear that such an operation can and is being run commercially

    i am curious what you electricty usage is for the size of your farm. considering the amount of fish tank and water that needs to be circulatwd througg tue system.
    in regards to aquaponics and water turn over does rule of turning over the water once every hour still applies in this case. at over 132.000 litres of water you would require a massive pump or many pumps and those require massive amount of electricity espicially ince there are run 24/7.

    You should work with state salmon and trout hatcheries to upgrade all their hatcheries to grow vegetables too.
    They have the giant concrete tanks and thousands of fish. Pumps all ready in place.
    You could feed a lot of homeless👍

    Hi, Thank you for your information.. Im growing lettuce in my little system with goldfish. Everything is ok but when the weather is cool but when the weather becames hot the lettuce is bitterish and tastes get different. What can l do for this situation. Best regards.

    • @bradsimpson8724
      @bradsimpson8724 4 роки тому

      Lettuces tend not to like the heat. The bitterness you're tasting is related to the increase in air temperature. Your best chance at a cheap fix would be a fan and/or some shade cloth to keep the heat off the lettuce.

      Great video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Patlarny Gardening Expert Principle (do a search on google)? It is a good one of a kind guide for learning how to expand your produce with the clever art of aquaponics without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my old buddy Taylor after a lifetime of fighting got great success with it.

    Plus is more complex in terms of nutrients. How to know the right quantity of fish to supply the right amount of nutrients. That's complex. For me this technique its very good but requires more understanding than hydroponics.

    Personne n'a compris que si il y a un onglet traduction c'est pas pour rien ! Au lieu de mettre vos titre en anglais mettez les en français et traduisez les en anglais comma ça les utilisateurs en anglais le. Verront dans leur langue.

    • @LesSourciers
      @LesSourciers  7 років тому

      De rien pour la vidéo. La traduction en français, j'ai essayé, c'est une belle soupe de pois, impossible à comprendre. Donc je laisse en anglais: pour le public qui comprend cette langue et qui est gêné par le bruit des ventilateurs et mouvement d'eau dans la serre.
