A wonderful channel but here a little tip from a European where the white radish originally comes from. If you mix about 1/3 - 1/2 sand under the soil in which you will plant the radish, it will grow better. The radish loves humus rich soil, but deeply loosened humus rich soil. The soil remains loose due to the sand and the radish can root much deeper and hardly ever forms lateral roots. In addition, the entire radish root remains underground and thus remains white. If the soil is too firm, the radish root will push itself out of the soil. Sometimes this means that the above-ground part of the root turns green because it's getting light.
I live in poland and I brought a few back to the Caribbean with me , the red ones also, not having much knowledge on how they are grown but I tried it and i was supprise at how quick they grew but I did encounter that problem where a great portion of then were above ground , thanks for that piece of advice ill surely try it .
Great channel! I would LOVE to see more videos like the sweet potato video- real, showed everything (not just the pretty parts), realistic number of people helping. Not like those "primitive technology idea" videos where they do completely unrealistic stuff. This is so helpful for me- i'm trying to live a low tech life (uhhhh other than the internet) but I'm in the US and almost nobody here does this stuff anymore. Thank you!!!
Primitive technology ideas are unrealistic! Even they can build beautiful architecture, they dont compare with others like you, if you are talented enough, build something like them in forest or at home or atleast something beautiful and dont compare and criticise others, learn things first.

Holy hell, welding without eye protection. Impressed that you still see what you are doing! Good job 👍 but would recommend eye protection. Eye replacements are expensive.
Shouldnt have used the music from an old medieval video game but brillant idea...very entertaining to see the progress of it all come together. Never had white raddish
Also known as Daikon. My systems a little different than this one. I raise tilapia to fertilize the plants and keep the water clean. Daikon is really popular here in Hawaii.
@@arborn6115 elder scrolls whos knows lol but he/she is speaking about the white radish or daikon lol guess for what ever reason red radish is the most common amoung the people living in the states.
Because it DOESN'T scale at all well . Aquaponics is ONLY suitable for a very limited number of plants ,,, and seperating the plants from the fish / Crayfish , is the only way to get it wto work at anywhere near peak efficiency ,, called DE-coupled aquaponics
Very cool design! But it seems like the water and grow beds are in contact with large amounts of galvanized steel. Not sure that’s a safe choice. Really appreciate all the work that went into this cool idea good job!
Use a welding shield for your eyes, sir. Otherwise you're going to fry them in short order! But this definitely is an interesting project. A lot of good ideas to apply here. Thanks.
Yeah sounded like a starting town in some medieval rpg game left unattended lol but the worked turn turned out well in the end... thats all that matters....could go with a slightly different music choice for the next.

Same thing here, the fiberglass/metal is the structure not the coating (here is plastic film barrier) people are just rotting smooth brain stupid
Okay this is really cool I have some questions though: 1. The water is pumped constantly from the crawfishes to the upper bed, right? 2. With all that earth in the upper bed, how do you make sure the earth isn't washed out over time? Where do you pump it in? 3. What plants are those in the bamboo and in the water? They look like they're doing great 4. How often and what do you feed the crawfishes? Do you eat them or what happens to them? Sorry for all the questions I just really like what you have build :)
I believe plants in bamboos are morning glory type veggies or water spinach, in my place it's called kangkung. It tastes really good stir fry with shrimps
You need to get a welding helmet or you will eventually go blind. The other reason is you need to weld beads for strength of your structures. It's not as simple as poking it to make little melted circles

Impressive. I’d be curious to see a longer version of this! Maybe without the repetitive song …there seems to be quite a bird show in the background!

I dont think the song is that bad

I would have much rather just heard the ambient birds in the background, they were lovely

It's a huge waste of water with the spraying. They have a lot of vapor loss. Not as important in some areas of the world.
